I'm really just tired of inking (so I didn't), and honest to god if I had money to burn, I'd totally pay someone else to ink things for me. Kind of like what the comic book artists do, how there's someone who does layout, sketches, inking, color, and text. That's why there's usually roughly 5 people listed as artists for a single issue of a comic book.

Doing a job that five people could do is a lot of work for one person. BUT HEY, SOME PEOPLE DO IT. With blood, sweat, and tears.

Ryla, the protagonist of my webcomic-in-progress, The Riftworld Chronicles(Formerly known as Horror In Heckville).

You might've noticed, I tend to never draw Ryla in the same outfit twice. This wouldn't be a problem, were it not for the fact that said outfits tend to be basically thrown together and have little identity.

So, I figured it was time to actually settle on a single "default" outfit for her.

I love a good minidress, so I went with such. It went through a billion concepts before I ultimately decided that less is more and that it would be more effective for me to distinguish it via patterns, rather than shape.
Went with a sash instead of a belt, partly to look fantasyish, partly so it can be easily loosened when her gut needs to hang out, and partly as a stylistic precedent for a Scarf Of Asskicking.

Then.... I just threw in a few more design foci, since I'm already making a character sheet.

Likes: Teddy bears, sharp pointy things, blood, birds, and gum.
Dislikes: People, sexual abuse, most men, ants.
Talents: She can kill someone swiftly, without anyone finding out the evidence. No blood, no remains, only disappearance. She's also pretty good at abstract art.
Flaws: Hates people due to her past. Also fails to clean herself up most of the time. (hence all the blood on her) And, she also is very cold and distant unless you spend a LOT of time getting to know her.
Abilities: None. She's a human.
Weaknesses: I don't know, but she does have a weak spot for birds and their lovely call, and pretty much nothing stops her from killing someone, not even her closest friend could stop her plans.
Story: (This is so mary-sueish oh my god i am so sorry) Anne was a poor girl. Her parents were divorced, and they had to get her uncle to stay with her at home. Well, her uncle was not happy with her. So, he took over the house, kicked her out, and she had to find a place to stay. As she was walking along the streets, a man pulled her into an alleyway, blindfolded her, and pressed a chloroform-ed rag against her face. She blacked out almost instantly. When she awoke, she was in a room full of people. (Now, I would go into detail, but let's just say she....she was sold to a " place"...) Anyways, she was used and abused, and finally, after 7 months of being sexually abused, she snapped, and murdered EVERYONE there. Don't ask how, but she did. Now, one day as she was walking along the streets (again), she bumped into someone named "Matoku", (who had no money until she worked for a weird fat man ((no offence but this is the story me and hoshi made up)) who liked cigars and foofa) and decided to become friends with Anne, and take care of her. So yeah. (I'M SORRY IF THAT WAS HORRIBLE BUT- ;A; )
All together: She was normal before, but went crazy after that "incident" (majigire, i think). And then she met Matoku.

Another adoptable I purchased from . (she's #1 here). I really liked the design, but I couldn't really think of what to do with her... Hurm. Sometimes inspiration is hard to find... Oh well, I'll think of something eventually. XD

Her motif was "circles", which, uh... Kind of led me to decide that she clearly needed to have big boobies. XD Despite the original picture of her looking somewhat timid, somehow she ended up looking rather smug and overconfident here. For some reason I seem to be getting a sort of Haruhi Suzumiya vibe from her, even. I guess she's probably really confident, and might look down on others a little for not being as awesome as she is. And she's probably rather popular with the boys (and some of the girls, too >.> <.<) due to both her confidence and her looks.

...Actually, I could probably just make her be the most popular girl at Penny's school, I suppose. Once I figure out a name for her, at least. XD

Ria is a ten year old girl, and, depending on the set of the time since the zombie apocalypse started, you can either meet her one of two ways. If the apocalypse started at least 11+ years before meeting Ria; you will likely find her at an abandoned building. She'd be passed out or huddled up in the corner. She would have been born shortly after the apocalypse had started, and very unused to the outside world; since she'd been housed in an under-ground base with her mother until her mother was murdered by a guard. In the second scenario, the apocalypse would have just started, and she'd be flailing you down on the high-way. She'd have bandages in her backpack, along with a stuffed rabbit from her father. She'd describe the infection of the undead; and how her older brother had become one, leaving her alone, since her parents had died in the early stages of the infection.

She's described as short, 4'4'', seeing as she has not hit a growth-spurt yet. She has short, bob-cut black hair, big, emerald green eyes, and pale skin. She has a tendency to freak out, hyperventilating and clinging to whomever she can. She fits in better with a woman's company, but would rather be led by a man, seeing as she grew up with a manly-father at the head of her father.

She's also described as having a southern accent.

A bit of a speed paint. Though when other artists do speed paints it's only for about twenty minutes, this took me about an hour, and of course it looks nowhere near as good. I'm still learning and practicing.
Anyway, I really had to get this out. Have you ever read a story or book that was so sad you actually cried, but you couldn't stop reading because you had to find out what happens, and/or it's such a beautiful sadness that you just can't stop reading? This is a result of me going through this. I need to start reading happy books and stories with happy endings, I really do!
