Sorry, no fancy title with great analogies or song lyrics or poems this time...
Everything I found that would've fitted somewhat was just way to negative for my taste.

Although you are free to interpret this as a woman drowning, I prefer something more hopeful. I like to view this as being at ease with everything - especially with things you cannot change (like in my case coming out of an exam knowing it sucked big time). I know I like to make that point in most of my deviations, but I can't help it: again, I feel like you need to not only see the water that floods you and might drag you down, but also the buoyant force making you float and giving you the opportunity to look at something outside of your day to day life, like the sky with the clouds and stars... There sure is more to life than the momentary failure, more than the struggle to succeed at your job. There are also the little things, like watching a sunset with your loved one or enjoying a good meal or whatever rocks your boat

"A prince of the castle fell in love with one of the handmaidens. The prince many times wanted to tell the handmaiden of his feelings for her and one night he finally did. And at that moment the handmaiden told the prince of her feelings for him as well.

But the vain princess who wanted to marry him became jealous, she wanted to be rid of the handmaiden! So the princess visited an old witch who give her a potion. When the handmaiden bathed in the lake the princess must pour the potion. The witch told the princess that the potion would transform the handmaiden into a lake naiad.

The handmaiden on one hot night decided to bath in the lake and the princess followed the handmaiden and poured the potion into the lake transforming the handmaiden into a lake naiad. If the handmaiden turned naiad attempts to leave the lake then she will die, because she is now the spirit of the lake..."

I have no idea why I painted this. Maybe to prove that I can do backgrounds. Yes, that's Jon. What's the blue mist coming up to get him? Um...spooky haunted lake ghosts? I dunno.

Make up your own story for this image.

Edit Alright, since someone said it was odd not to have a reflection and the blue flames looked odd. I decided to go back and fix it. I wasn't sure how to do the reflection in the lake, so I edited that out in the first go. But, apparently I got complaints anyway. Feh. And the blue thing looks more like a Will-O-the-Wisp.

One more edit. Just to bring out the vibrance.

Its probably not as awesome looking as Lake Town will be in the movie when it comes out but Im pretty happy with the results. The Hobbit is one of my most favorite stories and I couldn't help but attend Gnomons challenge this month of Esgaroth. I also felt this would give me a good chance to practice some matte painting too. I thought the Lonely Mountain would make a cool background element and you can also catch a glimpse of Smaug coming to visit Lake Town.

_{More change is necessary. :/ Don't ask. I don't know who the hell is my fursona any more. All I know is that i've needed this for a long time.

I'm tired of using 100% natural colors. Since my two favorites in the world are brown and aqua.

I guess you could say Lake is my new fursona. yes another. but To be be perfectly honest all of my characters are. They all represent me and my personalities in some way or another.

Lake is my main. Lake has always been the character I've been to scared to draw because she had to be perfect. The one I always imagined but never drew.

So I guess Lake has been in my mind longer than the rest. This design and character are really personal to me. Each marking, each color, everything has a meaning.}

Breed: Northern Timber Wolf
Gender: Female
Age: I don't even know mine anymore.
Personality: Lake comes off as shy and quiet. Well she really isn't. She's just contemplating what to think. She won't be the one making small talk in the elevator unless she really does like those shoes your wearing. She likes to plan ahead, but when the situation hits and all hell breaks lose, she doesn't remember or care about the plan and just wings it. She always wings it and makes it out without a scratch. You could say that she is just really resilient, which she is. Scruffy could also be used to describe her. She buries her emotions deep inside because she is scared to let them through. To cover it she just is optimistic all the time. She's also cunning and can plan out an escape in a millisecond, which also s because of her resilience. She relies heavily on instinct in tough situations. SO when the going gets tough, she bites going's ass. Some would say she's brave, or courageous or even fearless. But none of that is true. She just has such a strong drive to live and help and escape that it comes off as that. She believes that not all scars are bad, but she has quite a bit of bad ones. SHe tres to see the best in people and is very protective.

Hmmm.. this was a bit rushed, but it didn't turn out too bad. Digitally painted using Photoshop. Also needs retouching and recropping, I'm not happy with the composition yet.

The Frozen Lake, located a few miles east of the Lolipop Field is the home of The Snow Triplets. Strangely, even on a sunny day, the snow never melts. Some say it is because underneath the icey floor, the Fourth Snow Matrix is still sleeping. Myth has it, that upon their arrival on the Mystery World, The Four Snow Matrices chose the bottom of this very lake in order to shed their cocoons. After the end of the third day underneath the lake only three Snow Matrices rose up to the lake's surface. From that day, whenever dusk comes the Triplets gather near the lake waiting for their sibling to wake up from its eternal slumber and join them.

This is my little Arabian mare Chrysanth (named after the Latin name "chrysanthemum" for a certain family of perennial asian/northern european flowers). This is actually the first time I've drawn her, but so far we're getting along pretty well I will probably put up a reference sheet of her for future drawings.

Right, made in Photoshop with tablet as always. Took about 3 days - I never count the time in hours, I spend way to many of them to keep counting! I bought a huuuuge book full of his gorgeous photos the other week, and I swear I could just sit there for hours on end admiring those beautiful pictures. So copyright and credit and whatnot goes to him.

The water... The splashes... GOD please don't make me draw any more of that! Ever! The water is made without any references - suicide. It took several hours just to think of a way to draw the splashes, let alone actually trying make it look like something. I was gonna use references or stock photos, but I prefer everything in my pictures to be handmade by me, and believe me, it's near enough impossible trying to draw water from a reference. So I just made it up completely! Hope it at least looks a tiny tiny bit like water..

Well, I hope you guys like it as much as I enjoyed (and hated!) drawing it

sooo for a Color assignment, we were required to go to at least 2 performances and create pieces based on them. after a lot of persuading, my class managed to get the teacher to allow us to do it digitally. (this included making him try drawing on the computer via a tablet... he said it was like an etch-a-sketch and asked if you had to shake it to erase.)

ANYWAY, i got to see Swan Lake performed by the Russian Ballet....so that was cool. aaaaand, this pic reminds me of princess tutu, but that's totally what they're costumes looked like!! D:
