Here's a wallpaper I made for myself using the same basic design I've used recently in my photography pieces.

This piece is themed on Muse's Exogenesis Symphony, which can be found on their recent album The Resistance. It's an EPIC 3 part 12 minute space-rock symphony which closes the album.

The lyrics found on the deviation in particular are the lyrics for the final part of the symphony; Exogenesis: Symphony Part 3 (Redemption)

this is a 3D render based on the set of the Astronomy Tower, seen in a little scene in the trailer of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
I've done 2 different light sets, based on the movie's color correction (also there are many differences in models and textures)
this was a fast "sketch" work

Terragen & Photoshop + [stock.xchng]

For a long time I've been trying to make an atmosphere which is a hybrid of bliss and falling sky. Its an effect that I havent seen yet and That I thought would look rather cool and well... here it is and now I have some more projects involvin bliss in mind. The bliss effect is one of the most beautiful effects that terragen can provide (in my opinion) and I can say that Im rather proud of this one.

Terragen render time: 9 hours and 35min and the second render(yes, second render) was about 2h and 15min. Post working at photoshop about 3 hours.

Happy Viewing and remember.. show the artist some respect and full view it because full view is always better

It's been a long time, deviantART. I haven't had much access to the internet at all as of late, since, I have moved! The house I've lived my entire life in is now completely empty and awaiting new occupants, while my family and I have moved into a considerably larger home, with cheaper monthly payments. I like it here! But we've been without any internet or cable since the 11th of this month, and only JUST got it back yesterday. Going so long without something you've made a staple for years really wears on a guy! I sadly didn't get as much drawing done as I would have liked. So I'm trying to get back into the habit of that. Little doodles and sketches every now and again, some crummy, some decent. This started out as one of those doodles. And then... This happened, I guess! MOTHAFUCKIN' SPACE

I have to say that I'm really quite proud of this one, I had a lot of fun with it and I do like the way it came out in the end. And I really don't do enough with my character D, for those of you that actually recognize her. But I have big plans for her! There's plenty of D in the foreseeable future, as I have made evident in some of my art posts on my Tumblr. I even dedicated an entire post to D to serve as a get-to-know-her "biography" of sorts! Those of you who are curious should visit my blog and do a search for D there, see what comes up. You might find a few very pleasant surprises~

For the record, no, I still haven't gotten a working scanner. This may look like pencil in places, but this is entirely digital. I've come across this glorious program called Paint Tool Sai, which has every artistic intent and purpose that Photoshop does, only with countless times more customization options and a much cheaper price point, aka FREE. After finding a nice custom pencil setting here, I've started doing many of my sketches in Sai, and it gives much the same look. I think I'll be utilizing this in the future for when I start up my sketch commissions again. If everyone is alright with that, of course!

ASSIGNMENT FOR .

only the DADA and quidditch assignments left! i wish i`d submitted all of these earlier, b`awww.

i already did some light-hearted research on felix`s astrological sign before, but now, after thoroughly looking into it, i`m really amazed at how much his sign and birthdate/month match him.oAo i mean, it doesn`t match his personality perfectly, but a lot of the qualities a pisces should have are present in felix.C: i honestly did not check the pisces traits and information (i.e. food, stones, etc.) when i was writing about felix, though, so it`s really cool how a lot of them match. for the rest of the information, i checked multiple sources but only picked those bits which were common to more or less all of them.

the pose looks really weird buttttt i`m actually really, really happy with the concept and how this picture turned out, hahahh.;u; also, please ignore my lack of anatomical skills when it comes to men.:I _{yeaaaaaa go have double the shirtless, half-fish felix.*shot*}

It was fun to do this. I wanted to make it as a real lecture where we can read McKenzie's pargement and what she has written down

I was so surprised when I noticed that her personality was almost like the aquarius. That was deffinetly not planned! Sometimes things just falls into place

My Personality:
I am happy, cheerful, giving and helpful to others. I can be reserved when it comes to letting people in and I gets stressed very easily.
I am curious and like to be introduced to new things and have a experience with them.
I maybe gets a bit jealous at times when I see things that others have, that I cannot have myself. Pets are certainly one of those things. I love animals, but are not allowed to keep one.
I am a good listener but not a good talker. I wont talk about my problems with others. I prefer the other way around, to help others.

Favorite Things:
I like animals, books and sports.
Food: I like spaghetti. That is mighty tasty.
Stone: I have always felt a connection to the Garnet.
Color: I would say brown, yellow and White. Those are probably my favorite colors.
Elements: I feel a connection to the air element. I have always seen myself as a airy soul who enjoys open spaces. Yes. Air.
Planet: I love the sun. It is worm and comforting. I couldnt live without it.

A Aquarius is Witty, Clever, Humanitarian, Inventive and Original. I guess I see some resembling there. They are also Stubborn, Unemotional, Sarcastic, Rebellious and Aloof. I wouldnt call myself unemotional, I just keep it to myself. Is that unemotional? Maybe I am a bit sarcastic sometimes. Stubborn, yes. That I am. Rebellious, nah only if there is a very good reason to it. Aloof hm.

Aquarius personality is very independent, any attempt to hold them down or restrict them will cause them, to flee. They need to be free to be on their own. Independence is not just desired by Aquarius, it is essential to their well being.
(That is me).

Beneath the detached, unemotional exterior lies a kind hearted friend that will go out of their way to help another. They love to make people laugh and cheer people up and it makes them feel good to make others feel good. They do not expect anything in return for this could put a damper on their freedom, they live with no strings attached. They are very unconventional and always full of excitement, an Aquarius friend always makes life fun. They might offer you a spontaneous last minute camping trip with no supplies prepared, if you decide to go along, you will have a weekend to remember forever!

Aquarius tend to be rebels just for the sake of having their own way. Their stubbornness sometimes causes their failure, they will continue to do something their way even though others have proved it is wrong, they are very smart people and know it is wrong but they will continue just because it is their way, they are very fixed in opinion and stubborn when confronted. Despite their stubbornness and fixed opinion, they will never impose their ideas on others, they have respect for everybody's differences.
(I am not a rebel! I follow the rules and stand in the line. It is very seldom that I do something rebelic. I only do it if no one else get harmed by my mischief.)

The Aquarius woman is the ultimate independent woman. She is funny, smart, adventurous, never clingy or jealous, never demanding and not overly emotional. Anything goes with this woman and any man that she chooses will have an amazing relationship. Court her and woo her, she expects this ladylike treatment, she is old fashioned in that sense but be known that her mind is already made up and if she is not interested, she will never be interested. The relationship will progress slowly because she does not get emotionally involved very easily and she is not one for showy displays of romantic affection.

Conclusion:
I guess I am very much alike my sign the Aquarius. I saw much resemblance in it but also some things that wasnt really me. But over all Aquarius.

Pluto/Charon will be drawn tomorrow, mkay? For now accept the harems. I've forgotten a lot of the jokes that originally went into them, so...I'll try my best to remember vwv ; .

JUPITER is a jerk. He's fat and likes to throw people around. He stole about a hundred satellites from everywhere. Everyone knows about his great red spot, but he also has several other little spots that are growing bigger by the day. Recently, some comets tried to get revenge for their brother and mugged him; he was seen saying, when asked about it, 'What, when?'

IO is the closest Galilean moon to Jupiter. She can greatly affect his magnetic field (this is saying a lot). She likes to light candles around the house, only for Jupiter to blow them out.

EUROPA Europa wasn't very happy about getting kidnapped, and often thinks about her old life. Sometimes she thinks so hard her crust starts to turn upside down. She's the most likely candidate of Jupiter's moons to harbor life, due to the watery ocean underneath her surface.

GANYMEDE is the official cup-bearer of the gods, and another of Jupiter's stolen lovers. As such--he gets stuck doing the dishes. All the iron gives him a true magnetic field...he's the only moon that's been able to do that so far =/ .

CALLISTO is the last of the Galilean moons. She's especially hateful towards Jupiter, since he impersonated Athena in order to rape her (which was very disappointing after the truth was revealed). Like Europa, she can harbor life--but since she's not as kind-hearted, it's not as likely...

SATURN is very possessive of his belongings and likes to keep his appearance up; He's not a jerk like Jupiter, but he's still very mean and very egotistic. Actually, he is a jerk. Like father, like son |: .

MIMAS was hit on the head as a child. In fact, some speculate that he was used as the puck in a game of air hockey between Saturn and Jupiter. Well, that's just speculation, and nobody really remembers what happened. In any case, he hasn't grown much since then, has a huge scar, and always complains about a headache.

ENCELADUS is the person in charge of polishing Saturn's rings. Since he erupts snow and everything. As such, he's the reason we can see the rings with our eyes; and also the reason the moons around him have white hair. However, he's sort of nice, and no one dislikes him.

TETHYS used to be BFFs with Dione, but they haven't talked in a while. She has a very large bald spot on her head, which she's covered with her hat.

DIONE AND RHEA are extremely similar in their composition and formation; However, Dione's geographical features are much more recognizable because of some extra elements. As such, Rhea often looks for a way to get attention, and recently claimed to have a ring system. She has yet to prove it.

TITAN is the largest moon of Saturn, taking up a huge chunk of the mass. He has an atmosphere, lakes, and even complex weather. He's very hard-working, but sometimes he can be too energetic.
(NOTE: he's also pretty toxic for humans = D ;;;; )

IAPETUS is pretty weird. He started off gray, I suppose, but somehow one side of him became darker; and ice melted faster, and so it got darker; And eventually he became rather two-faced. Now he enjoys playing tricks on people. He looks innocent, but he's not DDD: . It's a somewhat good thing that he's located away from the main satellite system.

URANUS is rather sweet and kind; He is pictured in the infrared so that you can see his special hair dye. His axis tilt isn't straight, if you know what I mean, and his sentences are littered with 'shaa' and 'baby.' Very often he gives others girl advice.

MIRANDA is the only moon that belongs to Uranus that isn't a fairy. Seriously, why is she even there? She has a lot of weird markings, probably Umbriel's fault, although it's possible that someone mugged her as a child, similar to Mimas.

ARIEL AND UMBRIEL No one knows much about him, and no one's really seen him speak. He's probably still mad about what Prospero did, or maybe the Baron; He's nice to everyone else. Umbriel also doesn't talk a lot, though he really does look angry. Both of them take special care to keep their faces clean so that they look young.

TITANIA AND OBERON The fairy queen and king, respectively. Titania is the largest and densest of Uranus's moons, while Oberon is one of the farthest. The two seem rather normal talking to each other, but when they talk to others...it's creepy. It's possible that they are the reason objects are more often Trans-Neptunian and less often Trans-Uranian (see, they could scare away comets).
(NOTE: last sentence is not an astronomy fact. Do not believe it.)

NEPTUNE AND TRITON Neptune was a wandering pirate, you see, and everyone had moons but him. So he decided he wanted a really awesome moon, and raided the Kuiper belt, and took Titan captive, and trained him to fight, and all sorts of other piratey things. Triton used to hate him, and still won't orbit the same way, but somehow I think he's gotten used to it. There is a tragic ending in store for them D: . (Neptune is shown with his Great Dark Spot.)

Err, it isn't their usual outfit. I just want to draw them on tux and dress. And.. corrected Geography's color scheme, because it's kinda wrong here

PS. TNO=Trans-Neptunian Object. And...not all of them are, but oh well -_- ;;; . They fit nicely together.

Okay, so we didn't actually cover these in ASTR. Umm...skipped lots of moons here (but not hundreds). Haumea's kids might come up one day. Since a lot of these were discovered in the past five years, no one knows anything about them. Even the colors could be wrong ;;; . I didn't shade because I'm lazy and want to play in the FL studio demo. Yeah.../finished the characters finally.

PLUTO AND CHARON They seem to be pretty smart, but mostly row around in circles and do nothing. Charon talks less and Pluto just complains. They both dislike Eris.

ORCUS AND VANTH Orcus and his sister treat everything like a vacation; It's why they walk so slow.

QUAOAR He's not creepy, but he could be. He likes to dance with everyone.

MAKEMAKE He hangs out with birds.

HAUMEA AND VARUNA They have the same shape and same orbital period, but I don't think they're related...so I guess...they'd have to be clones? Their personalities are different, probably because of size.

ERIS She's the largest dwarf planet ever. She also goes by the name 'Xena, Warrior Princess.' Quaoar and Varuna were given special astronomy numbers because they were the biggest thing since Pluto, but after Eris was found they just stopped. There's too many dwarf planets to give special numbers, is what they thought. And it's true V_V ; . Personality-wise, she acts very regal, but really she's a snob.

SEDNA Sedna's pretty out there. I mean, eccentric. I mean, she's crazy.

HALLEY He's very popular with all of the planets--Gaia and Luna especially--since he always hands out free ice cream. The Sun dislikes him quite a bit, though...

SHOEMAKER-LEVY 9 RIP LEVY 4EVA. Because he was so valiant I thought I'd draw him. He's easily aggravated and hates Jupiter (of course).
