Surprise genderswap incoming!! xDDDDD

Here's the female version of Scorpion, from the veteran fighting series Mortal Kombat^^ With all the cool ninja ladies you can find in this game it was hard to choose one for my first MK fanart so after a long time thinking about it, why not make a fanart of my favourite Mortal Kombat character instead? That's how Lady Scorpion was brought to life xDDDDD For the genderswap I kept most of the iconic parts of Scorpion's design, erased some clothes to show the "obligatory" amount of skin, put her a long brown hair that flows out from the back of the mask and I also didn't forgot about his trademark chained spear for some glorious pain xDDDDD

He was an amazing ninja with a beautiful pregnant wife and his future to look forward to. Unfortunately, when he had set off on a mission, his village was attacked...and everything he held dearly....was destroyed.

I'm pretty sure I've asked this but is it weird to absolutely love your characters? Because I love this guy, seriously fucking love him. For days I was stuck on his design, apart from the tail, but I finally got it down. I originally wanted him to have no known backstory, but as usual, once I drew him out I couldn't help but just write out his origin. Damn me and my strange love and attachment to my fictional characters. >.<

His name and color scheme is based on the deathstalker scorpion, an actual species, which I thought was just the perfect name for a scorpion assassin. Come on.

Catch Deathstalker in the future comic Bloodlines, by myself and *TAU300, currently in planning stages. Or, read Zac's fanfiction Family Ties to catch his cameo.

Deathstalker the Scorpion, real name unknown, 36, is a Mobian scorpion assassin and mercenary. Born in the Dragon Kingdom, was the runt of his family (his tail being normal size but the rest of his body being much smaller) and his claw arms never developed properly. He was often teased by his siblings and ran away one evening. However when he came back nearly right away, a local crime lord to whom his father owed a lot of money came to collect. When he couldn't, the crime lord killed his entire family.

Over the next few years, Deathstalker trained as an assassin and infiltrated the crime lord's organization as a recruit, slowly making up the ranks until he was promoted to personal bodyguard, at which point he got his revenge. Not knowing what else to do with his life, he took up the name "Deathstalker" and became a gun for hire. His kill of the crime lord earned him a stunning reputation while gaining him many jobs. He is an expert in dual wielding, using two katanas stolen from a Gossamer spider ninja (along with his shoulder piece), cross blades on his forearms guards and a mechanical backpack that unfolds into four spider legs, giving him greater maneuverability and speed.

He views himself as a tool and justifies that he cannot be held responsible for the lives taken while under contract, as they fall under the responsibility of his clients. The only murders he does take credit for are those related to his killing of the crime boss who killed his family. He justifies that, while under contract, he is the murder weapon simply acting upon his client, the murderer's, intentions and wishes, much like a knife or gun.Despite his cold murderous demeanor, Stalker is not without a heart and does have a soft spot for children. In fact, he refuses any work that involves harming kids. This affection towards children likely stems from how his own childhood was taken from him following the murder of his family and his desire to prevent other children from living his trauma and turning out like him.

Most recently, he's been spotted very often at Casino Night Club working as Mammoth Mogul's personal bodyguard.

Took around 22 hours to get from Pencil to What you see. Over a period of several weeks, mind you. =_= Depression sucks. "Will trade one gallon of ego for one cup of motivation."

Anyway. Here Scorpion has finally returned to his late wife after God knows how many years/decades wandering Earth seeking revenge. Yea. *pats Slave on the back* :> As per why he has brand spankin' new patent leather boots, well, Quan Chi thought he'd look better in them. Do what you will with that thought.

The chain loop things on his arm aren't that great... I wasn't in the mood to try and be correct with those; you try after getting out of the "Yea! I'm coloring my picture with no interruptions beyond my want!" system. :b It's no use trying to get back in.

So um.. CnC all you want, I will heed your suggestions for later usage of chains etc., as they will be used again :evil This is for all those that said, "I can't wait to see this colored! :>" Here it is.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica fanart again.

This show provides a truckload of symbolism to play with, but I want to avoid spoiling so .... don't read the following if you intend to watch the series at some point. I'll try to keep it as spoilerfree as possible, though the image already spoils that these characters will be friends rather than enemies, like their initial meeting would have you believe. Are you still reading while watching/going to watch the show? Last chance to stop reading.

_{So, Kyouko (redhead) and Sayaka (bluehead) were these morally opposed characters, Kyouko first appearing as uncaring for other life and violent, Sayaka being heroic to a fault, and they try to kill each other, though stuff gets in the way that sees Kyouko mellow down. Sayaka's stubborn heroism reminds Kyouko of how she used to be and she and she somewhat befriends Sayaka. But while Kyouko slowly redeems herself, Sayaka's cracking under the strain of her new life and starts being selfdestructive, leading to her fall. Eventually, it's Kyouko trying to save Sayaka, making for one of those fun little role reversals.
I'm not quite sure what Sayaka's mermaid motif exactly refers to, either a connection to Orion (Poseidon's son) or to the little mermaid; the latter may fit better since she's in a similar position regarding the boy she loves, couldn't confess to and chooses to give up. Either way, a good excuse to draw a tail. Kyouko's was raised Christian and seems to have picked that up again along with the hero business, so a redemptiony-looking stained glass to symbolize her reversal. The wheel of fate most likely is a reference to Das Rad des Schicksals, oder die Geschichte des Thoangesis by Karl Siegmund von Seckendorff, who adapted a part of Faust from Goethe. Das Rad Des Schicksals means The Wheel Of Fate. Finally, the scorpion and the myth of Orion's death ties these two characters together, but those are just too spoilerific (and lengthy) to explain here. Suffice to say, they go down together. I was going to include a musical motif for Sayaka through notes in the backgrounds, but in retrospect this made the drawing look too whimsical.}

This is the "MVC(1) half-face" styled portrait of Scorpion from Mortal Kombat.

Just to let you people know, I didn't do this work, it was my twin brothat did all the work, but I actually helped him at some parts. I insisted him to let me upload this piece on my page since Scorpion is my favorite MK character.

He did a pretty good effort on this work, since after he did Kyo Kusanagi from The King of Fighters series [link] all thanks that he follows the steps in this website [link]

For a long time i wanted to make something about scorpion... he is one of my favorite characters in all of the video games. Almost all the times i play mortal kombat y use him. So when I decided to finally draw him, i thought about making something like..ninja-ish.
I used a picture of Raiden from Metal Gear Solid as reference.
