This is an image I made for Anime North, which was started like mid march, and then I thought maybe I could enter it in the Okami contest, but I decided not too since it wasn't that great and way too unoriginal.\\\
man I played through the beginning hour of that game just to get reference for that cursed zone... that game has the longest intro ever!

The game takes place three months after the events of Ōkami. In spite of Amaterasu's battle against the Dark Lord Yami, which would kill all the demons in Nippon, they return. The Konohana Sprite Sakuya, a character from the original Ōkami, summons the Sun God Amaterasu, but instead finds Chibiterasu, who looks like a young version of Amaterasu. Chibiterasu, as revealed by Matsushira, is, in fact, Amaterasu's child/daughter, as was previously speculated. Producer Eshiro noted that she is a "young form of existence" and not fully grown; she retains several abilities of Amaterasu, including the Celestial Brush, but lacks her power, which will be reflected in the plot and gameplay. Chibiterasu's partners will be incorporated into the main plot as well. One of the partners that accompanies Chibiterasu is Kuni, the son of Susano and Kushi, two characters from Ōkami. He was born after the events of Ōkami, and appeared in the ending of the first game. They did not reveal how Susano had a son in such a short amount of time, but stated that they would reveal it eventually.Other characters from Ōkami return, including Issun, Mr. and Mrs. Orange, and Sakuya. The game will feature locales from Ōkami as well as new areas to explore as part of its adventure.

I could really use some feedback or tips/suggestions on my colouring. I'm not really satisfied with how I colour...

First off. This is a fanart for the amazing and her "Brotherly Love" fan comic [which is on hiatus] of 's fanfiction (named Brotherly Love as well). In the fanfic, Luigi gets infected with a mutated koopa... and if you want to know more, I encourage you to visit the fancomic and fanfiction.

Second. I DO NOT hate Luigi. Luigi is my favorite character of the Nintendo/Mario universe. But I had to do this awesome fanart.

When I drew Draco the last time, you were all like-aww, wanna have him, so sexay, booyeah. I agree with your opinions, and mine is just the same.
But...I wanted to show him in another light.
I imagine him-the spoiled kid who got everything on a silver plate-to be unable to cope with the ruthlessness and viciousness of the Dark Lord's reign. He slowly crumbles because he can't complete his task, so he starts at first drinking and then drugging himself into oblivion. The War doesn't change things at all, because he's now called a traitor and despised from almost all.

Animal Crossing Style - Happy Birthday Tony!

Happy Birthday, !

This card was a blast to draw--there was a bunch more characters, details and people I wanted to fit in, but these guys filled up the whole bar and then some, so the rest will have to wait until the next drawing! heheh.

I'll upload the WIP photos as well as some extra zoom in shots to tumblr later and link to it here. I'm very pleased with the overall design, but ran into some issues with the layout being too incoherent and wild--it was hard to know where the eye should focus. So i tried to distinguish the background and foreground by coloring in the background a much darker color than originally intended, and thus, we have the purple wall. My green marker also revived to help distinguish each character, which I was happy to see.

Anyhow, what do you guys think? Spot any easter eggs? /hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink

Considering the last picture I drew of SM was in 2002, and this drawing fit so well, i couldn't help myself.

Wooo TF:Animated FTW~

I've been wanting to draw these dudes for awhile but never really got around to it. Then on the TFW05 forums they had a MS paint thread in the Animated section and I drew BB and Bulky ^_^ So I thought I'll paint Prime and Ratchet too

MS paint is so old school! I kept pressing photoshop shortcut keys and trying to right click for better brush sizes

WOLVERINE animated

Animated WOLVERINE character design.

I am not a fan of a lot of american style cartoon art. especially when it comes to the lines. they used to be soft and rounded, (which was a little better) but now all i see is hard angles. and it bugs me. i would love to see a cartoon illustrated with a brush, thick to thin lines, volume... you know?

This design is about as simple as i can get.
It's a practice for myself to try something i generally can't do. i'm generally pretty sloppy, this is to keep things simple and open. stuff like that.

NOTE: the colors change from what i do from my CIntiq to my desktop to web.... so the colors are a little off in my opinion, but they were perfect! i swear!

anyway, enjoy what i wish wolverine would look like animated.

Instead, it didn't come out as good...:/

It's probably becuase I don't know how to set the brush to be not pressure sensitive so the lineart came out too thick...;_;

I uploaded two versions of the same thing side by side since I couldn't decide which versions looked better for them...>_>;

I may do more of these if people like them, but they are very time consuming and I could technically have produced prettier cgs with the same amount of time just in a different style...;_;

I did this anime styled because the contest in general sounded like something that the creators would have to think about if they were to make a kingdom hearts anime since it would need filler episodes.

My younger sister, chien/pikakao, helped me on the photoshopping.

I was thinking if any of you guys are interested in it. I may do some new anime screenshot styled pictures except at the quality of my older ones based on scenes that already occurred in kh1 or 2 then photoshop it so that it looks like a scanned japanese anime preview article. This would be fun in the sense that people can show it to their friends and prank them into thinking there is a kh anime.

Do any of you guys want to do this prank? I think I'll probably do it if quite a bit of you guys want to do this prank. It's much more worth it if there were people other than me pranking people with that picture. I'll probably not do it if it's just me pranking others though...=_=;(too much work for a 30 second prank)

edit 3: looking at this from another computer... the picture looks really really squished....D:

it's really not supposed to be that squished... I don't know why it looks squished on deviantart on nonwidescreened computers so ummm please download it or something to see it correctly???

LAWL TALK ABOUT CUTTING IT CLOSE. I'm leaving for AX tomorrow, and here I am, getting my last picture done and printed 8DDD;;;
I've been meaning to do an Ouran Host Club piece for some time now, but never got around to drawing ALL SEVEN of the characters. Ironic that I choose this time, of all times, to draw them, eh? OTL;;

It was pretty hard to position each of the characters so that they form a circle while not overlapping each other AND have their hand visible in order to show the red thread tied to their pinkies. Man, was that fun =_=;;

While coloring the murderously large expanse of grass, my precious green marker died on me :'< I was a bit worried that the grass might be mistaken as photoshopped (since there's a grass brush that looks very like my marker strokes), but it's all done by hand. HOURS AND HOURS OF GRASS. *dies*

Some of the colors got lost by scanning too, especially the gray shading on their white shirts. I hope it doesn't look like uncolored space like this D:

Ahh finally got it to work...>.<

Last submission before I disappear off for a while in prep for Otakon. This is my 2nd painting for Otakon Art Show, this painting measures 7" x 15.5" and is done in ink, watercolor, and gold paint/pen on 300g watercolor paper. Doing the BG in gold nearly destroyed my hand...I layered it with gold pen 3 times to get the radiance of the gold ink to show...

There was so much complaints I edited it slightly >_>
I still disagree and do believe the pose can totally be done, so I refuse to completely change over the entire pose of this picture just because some people aren't flexible enough to pull it off. (Yes I have tried it, I can do it, and frankly this was never meant to BE practical)

That being said I do think my shading may have mislead the viewers into feeling that way on some aspects so I changed those. And the hand, because it was far too difficult trying to balance out the rest of the picture in the previous version.

This is the last edit before Anime Expo.

There's this one moment at the end of this movie, when toothless is helping hiccup hobble to the door and then his busted tail sweeps into frame...
The first time I saw it, my reaction to the movie went from "this is the best thing that's ever happened to me" to "this is the best thing that's ever happened to animation."
There were several moments of really skillful bringing-it-back-around in the movie, but that one was by FAR my favourite.

Yayy! I got it done before the con! Sorry about mistakes on this one I rushed it big time. But yea, I just had to draw Edward Elric again! The new series "FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" inspired me!

FMA has always been one of my favorite anime and this new series has resparked my love. And I know, he came out not short enough. Haha ah well. It's Ed all grown up after he had a few pints of milk! XD Anyway, enjoy!

Lion-O Anime Brush Practice...

Ok, so we have a few things going on here. First of all, yay, it's Lion-O. The whole idea behind these cartoon drawings I'm doing is to inject some anime into the old 80's characters I liked. This is obviously very Dragonball Z.

I inked this with a BRUSH, so if you have any complaints, direct them towards

Overall, I think this looks pretty decent. The brush is definitely something I need to get used to. Hard to control. It's really all about having confidence. As soon as my confidence wavered, I messed up my lines.

Ok, anything else to mention? Just that I zoomed out a bit. I still wanted to crop the character somehow, so I went with a thighs-up shot. I guess that's it.

The Villainous World of Disney

Wow. So here it is, the piece that has consumed the last month of my time and over 50+ hours: my Disney Villains piece

I've been wanting to draw these beloved characters for some time now and only recently got the courage to do so. I don't know if you're aware but as of this November with "Tangled" there will be exactly 50 canonical Disney full-length animated features. So, needless to say I had a lot of villains to choose from. And after sifting through and nixing all of the animal based villains (as well as the ones that were just plain corny) I came up with a troupe of 24 to draw. And so I sat down and started sketching out this massive layout. The date: April 2009.

Cut to July 2010. After a year-long hiatus, I returned to the piece, and begin putting pencil to paper. Initially, I was going to put all 24 on one sheet of paper, but my scanner decided that the paper could be no larger than 11"x17". So here I am trying to cram 24 characters on a relatively tiny piece of paper... it didn't work. So I sat back, whittled the roster down to my absolute favorite 12 and started again. However, this time, I wanted to have enough space to give the characters some breathing room and not cram them all together. My solution: 2 sheets of 11"x17" paper!

I decided to do the villains in chronological order from earliest appearance to most recent. And since the first 6 were my "classic" faves, I opted to do the new kids on the block first; saving the best for last I will say, though, that my choice to draw the new 6, then color them, then draw and color the old 6 after was probably not the best choice. It seems that doing other work in between was not a wise decision either, because when I came back to do the new 6, I was in a slightly different mindset and had to do a lot of redrawing to get it to the level I wanted. Man, Captain Hook was a BITCH to draw! I could not get him right to save my life.

I really didn't want to alter the characters too much from their original forms, because they are mostly designed perfectly (plus I wanted them to be recognizable). But, Maleficent was a different story. First of all, I absolutely LOVE Maleficent! I think she is by far the greatest Disney villain and she's hot to boot! Her simple black cloak was a touch boring so I wanted to keep the overall idea, but spice it up some. I also went to great lengths to keep her looking sexy but still a strong villain. She's not only my favorite villain, but she's my fave of the group.

Something else that occurred to me while drawing this was just how far I'd have to stretch my drawing/coloring muscles. I can't think of any other piece where one would have to draw long hair, short hair, curly hair, flaming hair, Caucasian skin, African-American skin, Middle Eastern skin, blue skin, green skin, white skin, dead skin, animal pelt, fur, mesh, horns, tentacles, coral, feathers, gold, jewels, bone, smoke, skinny women, obese women, muscular men, chest hair, sheer fabric and a bird all in one image...! It was a total blast! And lastly, this was a pretty interesting find, and very fitting: [link]

Ouran - Hikaru x Haruhi

FINISHED!! Finally a new artwork I'm willing to show fully XD;;

Hikaru and Haruhi is my current favorite pairing from Ouran High School Host Club XD;;; All thanks to the Anime Episode where the twins got into a fight and to the site: [link] for providing hints from the manga raws...so I immediately downloaded the raw manga to look at those certain chapters...and it was XD;;; Now that I got the Viz volumes, I still love it XD;; I hope they have more little scenes together. No shipping flame war please XD;;

So this fanart is inspired by the Hikaru and Haruhi date in Volume 5. Bwahhaa.

As mentioned on my WIP, I tried to keep it similar to the Ouran Host Club Anime style when I decided to color it cell-style...but actually I used only the manga as reference when I sketched it out XD;;; But it still end up looking similar to the Anime anyways. (well except Hikaru looks younger here ahah) I decided to keep with the Butterfly theme after using butterfly brush patterns on Haruhi's dress and drawing out the Monarch Butterfly's design on Hikaru's shirt (which was in reference to sweet Volume 5 of the manga). The design in the bg is ps pen tool traced from one the manga's butterfly tone XD;; *i'm lazy to draw it freely...besides it works easier this way* I played with complementary color again XD;;; (color class getting into my head now) Eh played with some circles and rectangles and wahla simple design XD;;; *lazy*

My cging pace is getting slower again...maybe I'm taking my time now.
