This is supposed to be when Percy wakes up on the edge of the water right after Calypso has rescued him. When I read this description of her from The Battle of The Labyrinth, I itched to draw her (Rick Riordan's descriptions are always very effective at getting my creative juices flowing), and so finally here it is. I tried to do a glowy effect and I'm not entirely sure I succeeded the way I wanted to, but overall I'm pretty happy with it. (:

I suck at clothing designs though hahaha. I can usually get a general gist, but as soon as it gets to details, my brain stops there xD

whadda ya know, I actually got around to drawing Percy Jackson XD!!!!!! but yeah, this was kind of inspired by the part in the movie where he was fighting Luke and he made a trident out of water and and stuffs, but this scene isn't in any of the books or the movie, I just wanted to draw him on a beach , with a huge wave behind him, with a trident....and stuffs, so I hope you enjoy it ^^

We Deserve A Vacation

I finally caught up with all the books. Now I shall sit here consumed with emotions until October.

I ship Percy and Annabeth so hard that it doesn't even count as shipping anymore--it's just natural. And beautifully canon, I don't think I've ever had a canon ship. Either way, these two have been though so much shit in the last 5 years (more like 10 for Annabeth,) that I think a nice chill couple of months at camp would do them both some good. You know, teaching the younger kids swordplay, sleeping on the beach, hanging out at the Big House drinking all of Mr D's soda. No prophecies, no impending war, no monster attacks. (Though I suppose the occasional monster would keep Percy sane, at this point. I can't see him going pedestrian.)

Anyway, vacations and summer all around. I'm done with academics for the next three months, I figure these two should get some hypothetical time off too.

(who was out of the apartment btw) Annabeth obviously doesn't live with him, but I guess she's staying in New Rome with him for a little while... I have no idea what made me write this...

Its Percy Jackson! A mad Percy Jackson to be exact. I don't why but after hours of working on this, he lost some of the anger he had in the sketch. Oh and his necklace I don't know why I always forget that(but I remember the monster dust???). I sketched this when I was really mad so he was mad too. I was originally going to color this with a blood red sunset/rise but it was to colorful. And I kind of derped on the water He also had blood coming from his cuts, but I left it out 'cause it was too bloody (XD).

This is really old... from when I hadn't read any of the last hero series yet, and didn't even know it was coming out yet... I was having a really bad day, and then I kinda doodled this in the margin of my notes, and the day got worse, because I was having such a horrible day that even Percabeth came out wrong.
So I rewrote it and edited it, and it still came out like this... life sucks.
But really, not all their dates would be perfect, some would end up incredibly awkward, too. And I've always thought that when Annabeth is really nervous, she'd start spouting off theories and architectural stuff and Percy would, as usual, not understand a word.

The Angel's Breath

Ok, this is my first real picture I've produced with Photoshop (Elements 11) and the first piece of artwork I'm attempting to upload to DA. Not sure how well this is going to go.

--Spoiler Alert for The Mark of Athena--

Ok, if you don't recognized the scene, it's from The Mark of Athena, a little ways into chapter 13. Nico is suffocating in a jar, and Percy is seeing him in a dream. I decided to draw it for a couple of reasons.

First, the scene is just described really well. Reading that passage, I could just see exactly what it looked like. It gave me a good opportunity to practice with poses (something I'm not great at), anatomy (something I usually suck at), and lighting (something I had no idea how to do in Photoshop). In my opinion, the final result came out pretty well, but I would still really love to hear what you like and don't like about it. I know for a fact there are flaws.

Second, the end of MOA left me very concerned for Nico. Yes they rescued him, yes he's joining up, and yes Percy and Annabeth are probably in a bit more danger, but I can't shake the feeling something bad is going to happen to Nico in The House of Hades. Think about it. The Prophecy says "Seven halfbloods shall answer the call". Percy, Hazel, Frank, Jason, Piper, Leo, Annabeth, Nico. That's eight. The "extra" has to be either Nico or Annabeth, and Annabeth is mentioned explicitly later as part of the quest. Nico is only mentioned in passing. I like Nico, and it's going to suck if he's being set up to be killed off. I suppose there is always the option of Hazel going back to being dead, but that wouldn't exactly be better. Not to mention Nico would lose another sister. My mother thinks I'm reading too much into this- I hope I am- but it still has me worried.

Onto the picture itself. I used a lot of references while drawing this. Here are my "credits" for the stock images I found useful enough to print out and reference repeatedly, both for the body and sword:

Also, while I didn't technically reference her work, I absolutely love how draws the PJATO characters, and my Nico design probably picked up on that. If you find they look somewhat similar, that's probably why.

MWAHAHAHA!!! OK so I finally made the sequel to this [link] And guess what? I'm gonna be making this into a series! XD

About the tardis in the window thing, I know it doesn't seem like it should be that way, but I had this idea for the Heroes Hideout. here it is:

The Heroes Hideout: Much like the Tardis, on the outside it looks like a—nevermind I won't tell you— but on the inside it is a giant hotel that has endless rooms and food and activities. (Kind of like the Lotus Hotel in the Percy Jackson series, but much less evil). it's occupants are mainly kids because they're not as used to the terrifying things Fan Girls do, so they need somewhere to hide from people chasing them and recover from their experiences. Adult heroes are more used to this, but still occasionally drop by to catch their breaths. OH and btw, there's only one supervisor..... Can you guess who it'll be? (Hint: It's DEFINITELY not the man in the red fez) (Another hint: He's also not in the picture)

I'm planning on making this into a series! If anyone would like to give me any more ideas or who else I can put in, please send me a note or put it in a comment! I've alreadly got three figured out though In three, you'll find out who made all the pizzas!! XD

OK so differences from the previous HHFDF: Changed some skin/clothing colors around as well as their faces slightly. I was actually able to make WOOD this time (something I failed miserably at last time ) and this picture is set more to the right.

What's going on in the picture: Basically Danny is confused as to why the Doctor needs to hide from anything (though River is a good reason), Poor Harry is still hiding (that's Ron and Hermione in the back btw, just in case I didn't make it clear )
AAAND this is just one of the places the Big Four meet up ^,^ They're best buds now, and they've just met Aang, Katara, and Sokka, who decided to sit with them. Or, Sokka and Aang did. Katara was going to refill her drink when she saw the Triplets (Merida had to bring them along to supervise them) tripping Bolin, who was carrying a tray of drinks back to Mako and Korra and Asami, who is behind the wall and you just can't see her

A few notes: 1. I should really be studying for my finals and not drawing, 2. I don't know if I should submit this to a group, but if i do... 3. I'm so sorry to Nico fans everywhere and please don't plan to murder me or anything, and 4. If (3) applied to you, then you should at least (try to) read the description before killing me.

In continuing my AU of the Bianca-Nico switch (also because I like drawing Bianca, regardless of how inconsistent I am), this is a hybrid of some scenes in the Battle of the Labyrinth, including when Nico speaks with Bianca's ghost and she tells him to let go of his grudges, which is his fatal flaw; to when Nico expresses to Percy that children of Hades are not welcome at camp. Of course, the siblings' roles are flipped. Basically, Nico's encouraging Bianca to go to camp, but she's reluctant to go because she knows that she won't be welcome.

tl;dr: ...AU scenarios are actually so addicting. IDK.

I might have crapped over various parts of the picture, but if I don't point them out, hopefully nobody would notice them? Haha I wish, but I tried my best. Hopefully I'll improve on my next picture... if I do a next picture...
