THE INCREDIBLES is my favorite PIXAR flick and Bob Parr (aka Mr. Incredible) is easily my favorite character in that film. I doodled out a rough sketch of this pic at work in ballpoint pen then pencilled and inked it when I got home. I colored it in Photoshop CS3. I snagged the logo off of Google. Enjoy.

EDIT: Edited some things that were bugging me. Refined the coloring a bit, added in a couple more details, and fixed some proportion stuff.

The Incredibles is my third favorite Pixar film, I think (the list jumps around sometimes). WALL-E being my first favorite, followed by Ratatouille, and then The Incredibles. C:

Bob and Helen are really sweet together. Choosing to be together forever even though their lives would be full of danger.
It was kind of obvious that I'd like them... since you all know that I love couples like this! The big beefy guy with the small lady. Too cute for words.

I wanted this one to be really simple. Reflecting the other half of their lives that's more ordinary. I did think about doing something more actiony with them in their super-suits, but this concept appealed to me more.
So, yeah. Keeping it super-duper simple. Virtually no background, and nice loose painting. I wanted Bob and Helen to be the focus, nothing else but them. <:^) The married life. Getting up every morning together, to face all the crap that life throws at you, together.

Mr. Incredible was extremely fun to draw. He was more fun to draw than Mrs. Incredible. And I like how he came out better than she did. Which is totally weird, because I practically never like how the male turns out better than the female.

Hey gang!!

So I woke up this morning to a delightful surprise in my inbox! I have been working on this drawing for the last week or so just in the mornings as a warm up before I moved onto my assignments for the day. Once I completed the lines I was happy enough with it I decided to ask my boy to throws some inks on it, and well to my surprise not only did he do up the inks but he gave me this file as well all colored up!!! I think he did an amazing job on the colors, and well had to show you all

I have been inspired by Bruce Timm more then most as of late and with this image I referenced one of his images to get the Mr. Incredible pose down right. This piece was a poll I had a bit ago and well with the overwhelming votes that the Hulk would just destroy Mr. Incredible I know this is the way the image had to be!

I am also going to attempt to color this at some point, so stay tuned, but for now just enjoy the amazing job Meek did!

I'm exceptionally proud of this one. I think this is one of my best. A family photo of the Parrs/Incredibles <3 . Basically, I had the picture of Violet in my head, drew her, and went from there. I'm kind of disappointed with Helen and Bob, though. I tried, I really did. I just couldnt seem to get them right of some reason. But I think, speaking in terms of accuracy to the film, Dash actually came out the best. I think you guys'll like this picture. Some critique on this one would be great!

(P.S. real creative title, to-boot ...)

Saw Incredibles for the third time today. Love that movie, especially the relationship between Bob and Helen. I love those two. I want to know how they met and started dating, etc. I LOVE them together. These were drawn from memory, so I didn't get some of the details right, I'm sure, but I think I got fairly close.

Been on a bit of a kick for the Incredibles lately, so I doodled up Mr Incredible and his 'secret identity' It was great fun working on him. Typically I draw the lengthy 'mr universe' type male bodies *coughhalandmetromancough*, so it was fun to do a more realistic, stockier built man. Really the sort of guy who's arms can truly be described as 'guns' haha

Introducing the latest in my line of anthro/cartoon characters cast as super-heroes: The Incredible SpongeHulk!
Why? Well, the recent trailors for the new Hulk movie inspired me to do another pic like Shadow as Wolverine, Spider-Bunny and Iron Duck, and I chose Spongebob cause he's always such a happy, wimpy character that it'd be fun to see him get angry and become a destructive monster. lol. If anyone has any more ideas for anthros or non-human cartoon characters as super heroes, pleas tell me!

Well, I'm not to sure what to say about this....I wanted to do something with their glory days suits cause I think they're so much better looking than their red ones. Also I wanted something that showed both their regular and their hero lives. This is what came out.

I'm not gonna start listing all the different stuff I love about The Incredibles..I'll just be quick and say that Brad Bird and Michael Giacchino are both geniuses.

So I tried a different approach on this one. I went with a pencil sketch outline and I wanted to make Mr. Incredible extra muscly. So to get this look I researched bodybuilders and Marv from Sin City.

The Hulk is a fictional character, a superhero in the Marvel Comics Universe. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 (May 1962).

The Hulk is cast as the emotional and impulsive alter ego of the withdrawn and reserved physicist Dr. Bruce Banner. The Hulk appears shortly after Banner is accidentally exposed to the blast of a test detonation of a gamma bomb he invented. Subsequently, Banner will involuntarily transform into the Hulk, depicted as a giant, raging, humanoid monster, leading to extreme complications in Banner's life. Lee said the Hulk's creation was inspired by a combination of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein.

Although the Hulk's coloration has varied throughout the character's publication history, the most consistent shade is green. As the Hulk, Banner is capable of significant feats of strength, which increases in direct proportion to the character's anger. As the character himself puts it, "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets!" Strong emotions such as anger, terror and grief are also triggers for forcing Banner's transformation into the Hulk.

Bwaha! Because I can!

I actually doodled this up a few weeks ago and just now decided to look at it. Here, we have:

Dash as the Scout
Violet as the Spy
Bob as the Heavy

Jack Jack as the Pyro

And before you ask, the Medipack on Helen's back is just... altered into a carrier. Just... cause. Yeah : ) So yeah. Okay. I'm done here

The one and only Helen Parr, also known as Elastigirl, also known as Mrs. Incredible! Again, a more minimal fan art pic (no background), but still fun to do.

She's definitely my favorite character in the movie. While Plastic Man had shown me in the pages of JLA that stretch powers could be used for more than *just* stretching your neck and hands (lookin' at you, "Mr. Fantastic"), it was Helen here that really showed how awesome they could be. The best part of the film is when she's sneaking into the fortress. ^^

Helen may also be the best super-mom ever. I really wish we could have an Incredibles sequel or series o comic book made by Brad Bird. Ah well; at least we have the movie. One of my favorite movies ever.

Ooh look it's not FF crack!

Mr. Green the substitute teacher, from the PPG episode "Substitute Creature._{I have the episode myself from that collection of all the series that came out, but I have no way of showing you all... It was great, if only because Mr. Green has an awesome design!}
From when I first saw this episode, I knew I had to draw him - his design is incredibly badass...
_{He combines my love of horns, unusual skin tones, eyepatches, stitches, snake-eyes, fangs, silly hair, flaming capes, the list goes on...}

This is the first try that I was happy enough with to colour

I tried to give it a 50's b-horror-movie poster feel, and he's just there being all smiley and pleasant as usual

How could the Powerpuff girls not like him? Look at the guy, he's practically trustworthiness incarnate!

He must have been invented solely so that I could draw him, yes yes.

A special art jam sesssion me and my friend Dave did to escape the stress of animation in Uni. He is a CG computer animator and I am a 2D traditional animator. I think it's interesting how we have both approached the drawing differently, myself going for a tighter, cartoon look, while Dave looks alot more illustrated. Anyway, be sure to check out his gallery, and hopefully we'll see more art jams like this in the near future.
