Finishing this was no fun at all it really tortured me and now i feel relived =_=

Im very proud of what i was able to create here.

Refference:
Some Ingame Screens ofcourse, even though i didnt have any of his character, so i had to puzzle together several other screens found via google with the aperiance that seemed to match that blurry small screen i had >.>
Body Pose:
has some nice pose sketches, i used one of the males she drew partly.
traced it in the beginning and then changed it to the position, pespective i needed and corrected what seemed wrong.
It wasn't funny back then but when i was doing that someone on livestream was kinda like 'I have better things to do than watching a copy cat! blah blah' i dont know whats copy cating there when useing something that helps out, because oneselfe is bad at drawing poses in real proprtions from scartch o_O I mean i DID correct it myselfe and did change alot after that didnt i?
It still bugs me abit...

Aaaand more Guild Wars 2 art. This time it features the infamous Crow's Nest Tavern in Lion's Arch! These two characters are mine and ~xPandorae's characters. The Sylvari is my character and she is a Warrior and her name is Soerine. The Norn is called Ava Lanche and she is a Guardian.
Our characters are wearing their dream armours here, my character almost saved up enough Gold to buy the Warden Sylvari armour. But the Norn is less lucky... the cultural armour that she wants is hiiiighlyyyy expensive. But maybe one day... ^^

This is kind of how I imagine these two characters meeting eachother haha. Also, don't look too long at the perspective of this drawing, it will make you drunk too!!

Did this for an art competition on Guild Wars 2 Guru. The challenge was to draw a sylvari guardian, the most recently revealed profession.

The trick with the sylvari is that while some of their outfits have a human look, generally their outfits display a plant-like design as well. Not exactly the easiest thing to conceptualize.

I think I did pretty well this time.

The sylvari are a race in the upcoming MMORPG, Guild Wars 2. Guild Wars 2 is property of ArenaNet and ncSoft.

There's a thread on GW 2 Guru about coming up with our own version of a Sylvari Guardian so this is what I came up with

I also decided to try a bunch of different things that were new to me:
1) 1 - hour speed paint <- with the hopes it'll make me focus on the big picture instead of on little details
2) Color theory <- I tried to stick with the green/blue/purple portion of the color wheel
3) No reference <- yeah... I would only do this for an unfinished speed paint
4) Only 1 brush type <- I used a natural brush from the PS elements natural brush menu and just changed size, opacity, spacing, and scatter.

Umm... I also decided to focus on spirit weapons and wards instead of physical weapons so she's more of a combo between a monk and rit She is wearing armor resembling flower petals, and her hair is supposed to be like long leaves...

Finished, at last! A group shot of my sylvari's Five Man Band, from the Guild Wars 2 RP we're playing. From left to right, top to bottom : Cappaeriel "Cael", my warrior (as the Big Guy), Nohya, his mesmer lover (as the Smart Gal), Chloridith, his elementalist "little sister" (as the Chick), Filmania, a ranger (as the Lancer), and Cypries the guardian, Filmania's lover and Cael's "big brother" (as the Leader). Talon's Umbra: Guild Wars 2 Digital Painting

A digital painting of my perma group in Guild Wars 2 which I painted as a present for my wife's birthday. We're a group of real life friends who have been playing video games together for years. We're all members of the Acolytes guild so we're known for throwing parties in Lion's Arch and playing drinking games. I thought the best way to present our characters would be for them all to be hanging out and getting drunk at a bar being rowdy after a long day's battle.

The characters from left to right:
Shalien Ascendant - Human Thief
Doory - Norn Elementalist
Chacha - Asura Engineer
Gladiolus - Sylvari Guardian
Dolni Ascendant - Human Mesmer

The initial sketch and color blocking was done in late September, but I burnt myself out very quickly. After playing Guild Wars 2 for a few months, I was re-inspired to put the pen to the tablet just because how beautifully the world is crafted. Everywhere you turn in-game there is something inspirational. The entire process took just under 100 hours.

I used paper and pencil for the initial sketch. After scanning that, everything else was done in Adobe Photoshop CS5 with a Wacom Cintiq 21x.

Obviously I kinda rushed it haha.

Ok, so the sylvari is a necromancer, the human is an elementalist (herp derp Elias herp), the norn is a ranger (there's a pet raven on her shoulder), the charr is a guardian, and the last human is a thief (derp herp Luis derp).

It's so cheesy, I know. I meant to make it cheesy looking.

This is just a silly pic I did of my Sylvari and my buddy's Norn, both mesmers, from Guild Wars 2. I joke around with him that he looks like a tiny Transformer, and somehow a joke developed that he was this giant guardian/warrior dude named Optisauce Prime and I was his tempermental princess.

So you may not know this, but when I play Guild Wars 2 my handle is "Geno" (as in I have Geno in every name so guildies don't get confused over alts)

These are my three main characters, Fuzzy Geno (lvl 80 charr engineer), Geno Gears (lvl 80 asuran guardian), and Genoard (lvl 80 sylvari thief). Genoard was actually my first 80, way back in October. I think Geno Gears followed in December, and then Fuzzy Geno in early March. Next toon getting to 80 is Trickshot Geno, my human mesmer (currently level 50).

I don't draw armor often and this may be why. Oh well, I kinda like how these came out.

Two Sylvari Guardians awaken in the morning, and begin their preparations for the day.

This was a fun piece for me, since it let me show a nice contrast between a winter and spring sylvari. The challenge was to draw a guardian sylvari, and I decided I would show them using their powers outside of combat. What better than to use them to help do someone's hair? xD
