Anyway, a revamp of one of my first doodle (and one of my own favorite i admit). There is probably thing worng in it, i'm not perfect after all, but similarly to the first time, there is another first here: i was happy with it when I had done the line work, as opposite to my usual "is looks crappy" until im almost done. Yes that last passage is confusing, if someone may explain it to me...

The background are Spanish Steps in Rome. First time in my life tried to make a normal background and then was so upset with it that I didn't finish this picture for almost two months... It still looks a bit unfinished but I really don't know how to improve it and I can't see this picture being in unfinished state any more.

Anyway, hope you'll like it

Don't ask me why I've been revisiting alot of my older work. I can't believe its been well over a year since I first creepified the Disney Princesses.

I actually didn't spend all that much time on this. It's kinda sloppy and I got lazy in some areas. Looks like Snow White ate a Zombie Apple lol. Ariel and Pocahontus just got a bit more barbaric. Ima say that Pocahontus is now a headhunter or something lol. Cinderella just kinda went hardcore on us and Aurora is now a pissed off demon with insonmia. In Belle's case the 'beast' musta been a werewolf in reality or something and Mulan? Well, I don't acutally know about Mulan. Maybe shes a fuckin vampire now lol. Jasmine?.... uh.... ASSASSAIN!!! D:
Don't ask how all the black haired people ended up on one side. O.o I had fun drawing them in this style. I've been just finding excuses to practice with my tablet lol. Wait till you see the next thing I'm uploadin. O.O It's a lot bigger than this. Its Blood Debt related. ]]> [link]

Her dress was partly inspired by the Disney version, plus I've decided to add animals following her around- but since its she's a vampiric Snow White, I've chosen the animals which would fit her better.

Got the idea to do this deviation not only because I'm a fan of famous children's tales with dark twists, but also apparently, there are 2 movies based on the Snow White tale coming out this year- Snow White and the Huntsman (c) Universal) which is a dark and edgy adventure fantasy in the vein of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Mirror Mirror (c) Relativity Media) which is a romantic comedy with cool costumes (although the humor is a little cheesy as I can see from the trailer......) . But my fave dark version of Snow White, apart from Gaiman's aforementioned short story is Snow White: a Tale of Terror, which was made in 1997 by the company Polygram. Maybe my opinion will change if I do see Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman.

As maybe some of you already know, I'm a big fan of villains, and whenever I create one, I like to give him/her a complex background history, and this one isn't an exception, so be prepared for a long Bio

Vraskol was born in a family of enormous fortune, being the heir of a long line of noblemen and aristocrats, which seem to entail to a life of carefree, but nevertheless was not thus. From its birth, he suffered a condition that will mark him for life. He suffered from Albinism, and a very rare disease know as Congenital erythropoietic porphyria, the Gunther disease, known as the mutilating porphyria, all this together gave him a unique appearance: A snow-white skin, silver hair, deformed teeth that looked like fangs, and red-blood injected eyes. Along side whit his odd look, his disease made him photophobic and hyper photosensitive, making him impossible to bear, even to see, the light of the sun, forcing him to pass all his childhood locked up inside his house, in the darkness, being able to go to the outside only during the night, and caused him a severe Anemia, making necessary to gave him constant blood transfusions. Thanks to all this, he was called by those who knew about him, as “Vraskol, the vampire”. But, in his long isolation, he read about a legendary creature, a powermon known as SVALAD, the night guardian, who possessed the power to turn the day into night, and found in it the purpose of his life. As he grow up, he used his fortune and familiar connections to became a great businessman, who controlled a pharmaceutical empire from the darkness of his castle, and after gaining all the power and renown, he created the secret criminal organization known as Team Plasma, hidden behind the façade of a pharmaceutical industry, that he would use to obtain his main goal.

Team Plasma has one goal, to rule over the world using the Darkness. First they found SVALAD's DNA, so they created their own version of SVALAD, NOSFERATWO. Both SVALAD and NOSFERATWO posses the power to transform Day into Night, but NOSFERATWO's one is way stronger than SVALAD. Team Plasma pretended to use NOSFERATWO to bulge the world into a never-ending night, where NOSFERATWO will became the most powerful powermon, and so Team Plasma, being NOSFERATWO's controllers, will become rulers of the world. but NOSFERATWO scaped and now they have to recapture him and gave him a brainwash to fulfil their goal.

the name Vraskol is in fact a deformation of Varkolak, a vampiric werewolf from the bulgarian folklore, so powerful that it could eat the moon, leaving all in darkness (refering to an eclipse)

Vraskol powermon team is composed of his DRAGULA (he is the only one in plasma team with one) and he has a TENTORRAGE, a LILITO and a KIROPTEECH too, but this are more powerful than the ones his commanders have.

Inspired by a short story/play by the awesome Neil Gaiman...drawing on the SnowWhite faerytale, [& a little of Tanith Lee's Red As Blood]...this is the infamous....'red as blood,white as snow,and black as jet' Snow White....
ressurrected as a vampyric daemon,who preys upon the royal court & her cruelly maligned stepmother......
[also inspired by my gruesome fascination with reliquaries, embalmed saints & mummies....so macabre and unquiet in their glass coffins...]

the flowers are inspired by both Victorian & Japanese traditional floral meanings....
"I DO have a fascination with the language of flowers[see also: 'Eros & Thanatos' pic.. [link] ] ....there are some wonderful old books about it - was an entire secret code!!.....but I thought it might be a little obscure to go into too much detail about...so.....her headress has wisteria[and yes,I just adore oriental imperial dress]..which means[deceptively!]"welcome"...
but all the flowers in the glass coffin [old-fashioned roses,paeonies and camellias....symbolise...Jealousy[yellow rose] Anger/Hatred[Paeony]dark crimson Rose[Mourning] peach Rose[Immortality] orange Rose[Fascination]
...and I also consulted the japanese language of flowers[Hanakotoba]& was surprised to find it blended in well[Camellia-White[Waiting]-Yellow/Peach[Longing]&
Rose[Yellow]Jealousy...just thought it added an extra layer to the *icon*look....the way christians use white lillies to symbolise the Annunciation and the virgin Mary.....

It's Alex again at the end of winter with Raku (the white plesisoaur wearing a scarf) and a certain otter-uh, I mean Potter, with her. Hee-hee!

I bet by now you guessed it, hmm? Well, Harry...has turned himself into an otter *Rolls in laughter* Ah, don't worry, it's just side effects from an ole Japanese potion of temporary Animagus. You can change into an animal that pops into your head, not the spirit of the animal and it's for a moment. Now in Shoyoku, while trying to find about a place called the Hollow (thus the title of this fanfic, "Harry Potter and the Feather in the Hollow" gives it away), Alex, Harry and their friends have stumbled on secret underwater tunnels in a lake underneath the school (where plesiosaurs migrate) and are only accessible if you're an animal (they're too small and too deep to swim through). That's when our vampire boy, Ronan remembers reading an article about temporary Animagus. Everyone volunteers to do this, except Alex and Dandelion (who, for a werecat, happens to be phobia of water XD ). And guess what came to Harry's mind after he drank the potion!

Of course, Ronan did not read the warning label in that book until later. The aftermath of this was that Harry (and maybe Ron) had a side effect and randomly changed if his emotions get to him. Sigh, and Alex has to get him out of trouble if he's changes, so she's the only one suffering trying to save his skin!

It is an illustration for the Vampire Hunter D Novel #13 : Twin Shadowed Knight, by Hideyuki Kikuchi

The scene that inspired it is on page 153-154.

"It was one in a cluster of mountains that rose to the west of the village, and it towered to five thousand feet above sea level. Snow capped its summit irrespective of season. Aside from the beautiful blue sky and scattered patches of black rock, the three of the were surrounded by a world of pure white....

...The exquisite Hunter stood a short distance from the boulders, looking up. How beautiful his face and body appeared engulfed in the light. Her brain pleasantly numbed, Mia only thought of the danger inherent in that very same light a few seconds later. Due to the Noble blood that ran in a Dhampir's veins, sunlight could have devastating effects. However, the gorgeous Hunter showed no signs of fear as he turned his face to the light, not even using his remaining arm to brace himself as he stood on his own two feet.

As the shadowy remnants of the madness that'd come over him on the way up the stairs melted away in the light, Mia was amazed. A conversation she'd had with her mother about the Nobility rang once more in her ears.

The light sears the Nobles' flesh making them feel more pain than we would if burned by a flame. However, the light has a mysterious power. There's somehting abut it that the Nobility can't help but love. The proof of that is that of all the nobles who've been destroyed by the rays of the sun, every last one of them was smiling. Perhaps something within the light burns away all the cruelty and evil that lurks in the blood of the Nobility."

This scene was just after D and two humans had escaped from a dark underground facility... They had been ascending some stairs for a long time...having to fight against enemies along the way, and the last enemy had triggered D's Vampire side with a chemical that simulated the strong smell of blood. D nearly lost control and almost killed his human companions because of this...but between his own will, the two humans and the help of his left hand (which had been cut off...again...X'D ) they were able to escape...

8D I had a lot of fun drawing the mountains...they were tricky XD...

The contrast between D always so Dark in a white sunny landscape was such an interesting mental image...>w< I had to draw it...

Oh...XD this must have been drawn after his hand re-attached itself... (since he has both arms...hahah)

1) Come on, Disney villains are much more fun! What am I you ask? Well Disney is huge on witches, and I love vampires (hence the fangs) so I am a Sorceress/Vampiress. And the quote is actually from the Donald Duck cartoon "Trick or Treat", it is when witch Hazel is brewing a potion in the alley, I always loved that line.
2) I have to admit, I LOVED how human Prince Naveen looked in The Princess and the Frog, although he strikingly looks similar to Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty. Also I thought it would be hilarious on what I did with Tiana, beware of women in the kitchen... a chopping knife can be a deadly weapon.
3) For those of you who know me I have the oddest crushes, usually on men when they were young but who are now in their 60's-80's (James Woods, Alan Rickman, Leonard Nimoy, etc.). For men closer to my age, James Franco for one, but definitely Ian Somerhalder (I love the Vampire Diaries). Oh and basically my dream Prince is quoting the shows that Mr. Somerhalder has/is in (Lost boy - Lost, Evil vampire brother - Vampire Diaries).
4) Oh come on, for those who have seen my gallery you know you've should have seen this coming! I don't know what it is, but this scene gives me chills everytime. I LOVE the movement of Hades' hands, it looked so smooth and sleek, I tip my hat off to Nik Ranieri, the animator of Hades. And if you're wondering why Meg is wearing a Batman shirt, let's just say we switched clothes, I wear her dress, she wears one of my cherished shirts.
5) I chose Robin Hood and Maid Marian, plus I saw other people's memes and they chose the obvious (Little Mermaid, Tangled), just want to be more different. The scene I am referring to is when Robin and Marian walk through Sherwood Forest with a beautiful waterfall, moonlight and a lovely song. Yes they did not have an almost kiss scene, but if the Merrymen didn't pop out of the bushes they would have! Oh and the man is suppose to be my dream prince from question 3.
6) Oh yes, who could forget Meg's line, screw damsel's in distress, time to kickass! Why the pick axe? Let's just say My Bloody Valentine was on the other day. Why am I dressed like Snow White? I was Snow White for Halloween when I was 8, I like to relive the fantasy.
7) Outfit #1, I love the medieval look. And yes, in my fairy tale I would have a pet bat, I mean come on, Snow White had woodland creatures, Jasmine has a pet tiger, Rapunzel has a chameleon, why not? Outfit #2, I admit, I suck at fashion, all I know is that I look good in purple and I love dresses with a cape, or drape, or tail... whatever you fashionistas call it.

It's just a project in wich I wanted each disney princess to represent a general urban culture (as far as my artistic skills could let me portrait them).
I tried not to change them at all, specally their outfits; 'cause otherwise they'll lose their princesses style. But, for some of them, I just had to change them like a 99%

So well, I'm gonna try to give a brief explanation of each of them:

*Cinderella: Punk style
*Ariel: Emo Style

*Belle: I wanted her to represent the general pop culture. So who could be one of the most representative pop icons of the moment? Answer: Lady Gaga. So I kind of got inspired on L.G's makeup, and thought of a hairstyle she could use (but an easy one for me to draw and that show that she was still being belle)

*Pocahontas: Hippie style

*Mulan: Freaky/ Otaku-- In general, 'cause there's a lot of ways of beeing freaky. So I want her to look like if she was cosplaying an anime character, for those who know a little bit about anime, you should know who's she cosplaying as; for those who don't, she is dressed as Haruhi Sumiya (google it if you want so) I know Mulan isn't japaneese, nor she isn't from the occidental countries, so I thought that for her eyes and other stuff, she could portrait well as this character (**She's one of my favorites, 'cause I think in a certain way she reprents Me **)

*Snow White: This was one of the most difficult for me to chose her style, 'cause I don't like her too much, so I leave her for last. But, who would imagine that in this pic, she would also be one of my favorites (**She also represent another side of me**). So I want her to represent the oldies rock culture; by making a fushion of a greaser look (you know, that one inspired on the 'grease' movie) and a glam oldie rock look (KISS Genne Simmon's makeup-look)

*Jasmin: She was so perfect to portray a hip-hop/ rap culture. Though I must apologize, 'cause I don't know to much of them (is rap and hip-hop the same thing??)

and last but not least

*Aurora (S. beauty): I'm kind of dissapointed with her, 'cause at the beggining she was absolutely my favorite. But then, when I finish this, I realised that she doesn't look as s.beauty at all. Any way, she's representing the goth/ vampire culture, 'cause after all, her original dress was just the indicated for that look.

***So...anyway... wich princess (es) character (s) do you think fits you the best ??***

Though the disney's castle was something I photoshoped to make it look as a graffiti.

**And for the background, I do not own it, it's just an amazing piece of any random street artist (I think so) I googled, and asked permission for using it.
