I made this short with a friend, in the last months of 2009.
Shot with a regular webcam. Yes, we fucked it from the begining, but we learn a lot about the whole process of making a stop motion animated film, from the scratch. Maybe, later, i will up the animatic.

I designed the character, but Nicole did most of the actual execution of the character because whenever I tried sculpting a child's face it ended up looking like a hideous old woman. I did sew her little outfit though. UNDERWORLD
Aztec mythology was the lowest level of the land of the dead, and was far to the north. The warriors who died in battle and women who died in childbirth were not going to Mictlan after death, they went to Ilhuicatl Tonatiuh (Camino del Sol), the "dead water" (drowning, touched by lightning or dropsy) went to Tlalocan and small dead before returning to Chichihuacauhco birth (the tree breastfed).

I took about 3 hours to make this segment. (including cutting and music)

This is just a trailer for a longer short, but I sadly never got the time to finish it. And I have lost all the sets, but I am in the proses of rebuilding them!
I have made some restoration of the puppet, and added some more characters to it.

When I had to stop the production I had animated about 5min of film, I have edited a 2min segment of it, But this segment will not be uploaded here, until I have made the complete film!

This short animation is still in production, even if I have not animated on it for almost three years.

I have bin notified that this has some similarity to the animations of Adam Jones from Tool. But in fact I had not listen to Tool when I made this animation, and I had not seen Adams videos.
After some had pointed this out for me this, I did start to listen to them, and I like them.
