Also, I had to write a walkthrough for the game (this was a hw assignment btw) so I'll post it here since so many people are confused xD

WALKTHROUGH:

When you first visit the castle you will meet the king who asks the ninjas to save his kidnapped daughter. There is nothing else to do in this level yet.

As you may remember from the first game, the princess is on the island trapped in a glass piggy bank. However, this time there is no hammer to smash it open and there are more Fiber Foes protecting the princess. However, you can press the “d” key to make your ninjas dance - which is their form of attack. Once the ninjas dance attack the Fiber Foes away they will be able to talk to a crab on the beach that tells them he will trade a hammer for a cupcake. You will need to explore more levels to find out how to get the cupcake.

When you visit the forest level you will encounter three frogs of three different colors – yellow, blue, and pink (they are also numbered). The frogs tell you they will reward you if you feed them. On this level you will also find a yellow apple that you can pick up and put in your inventory.

If you travel to the “Rainbow time!” level you will find a large creepy man stuck in the clouds who will ask for your help in finding his pet narwhal. After exploring the area you will find the narwhal in the lower left corner of the level. After picking him up by hitting the space bar take him back to the creepy man. He will then give you a pink smoothie that you can put in your inventory.

In the Purple Hat Hill level you will find that there is one baby chick that is different from the rest – one of them is blue (the same shade as the frog in the forest). You will find that you can pick him up and add him to your inventory. You should now have in your inventory a yellow apple, a pink smoothie, and a blue baby chick (red apples and orange smoothies restore your health but if you try clicking on the yellow apple or pink smoothie nothing will happen). Also in this level you will find a big pile of gold. However there will be a bunch of baby chicks surrounding the gold and that you can not get around or attack. One of the chicks will say, “If the eggs are okay why should I move?” This would seem to imply that she would move if the eggs were not okay. If you explore around the level some more you will find a nest with an egg lying next to it. You can pick up this egg by pressing the space bar and adding it into your inventory. You can now eat the egg by clicking on the egg that is now in your inventory (it will also restore your health). The baby chick you spoke to earlier is now too terrified from her sibling’s untimely death to protect the pile of gold – access granted!
If you visit the shopping market you will discover that one of the shops is open. Upon entering you will find a very large and bored looking cashier manning the front desk. There is also a table full of smoothies and if you walk up to them the cashier will ask if you would like to purchase one for 5 gold coins. If you say yes (by hitting the shift key) five gold coins will be deducted from your inventory and an orange smoothie will be added. However, if you don’t have enough gold coins the cashier will be angry and tell you to leave. Of course he is much too lazy to actually kick you out so he won’t do anything if you decide to linger in the store. However, there is nothing else to do there so I would suggest you leave.

The rocky hill level is much the same as before. There are a few gold coins you can pick up and a red apple that you will have to dodge random spurting fire to get to. There are two easily avoidable Fiber Foes here but you should kill them anyway. They did kidnap the princess after all.

When you return to the forest level with the items you have obtained you will finally be able to feed the three frogs. You should now have a yellow apple, a blue baby chick, and a pink smoothie – the same colors as the frogs. If you click on these items (in the proper order) the ninjas will hold them and be able to carry them over to the frogs. Once all the frogs have their proper items they will reward you with a cupcake. You may wonder why the frogs didn’t just eat the cupcake instead of making you find food for them. Well keep wondering because that will never be explained. Anyway, the cupcake is automatically added to your inventory and the forest level is complete.

When you return to the island you will be able to exchange the cupcake for a hammer (by clicking it out of your inventory) from the crab. You can now pick up the hammer and carry it over to the piggy bank which will promptly shatter upon impact. Now ditch the hammer and pick up the princess. When you return her to the king at the castle a message will appear saying “You win!” however the king doesn’t give you any reward for returning his daughter. So you really didn’t win much at all.
