As always, Flash has butchered the quality.

UP THE WOLVES ♪ by The Mountain Goats (featured in page 3). I don't care that it's not contemporary for the West, sssh.

It's tragic that my favourite page is the cover, but that's gonna be recurring, so I guess that's not too bad :'D The first three pages of this make no sense when I read them and the dialogue is super corny :'D

Establishing how an outlaw got into a respectable tournament and then beat a thirteen year old girl; with his face changing in every panel. (Sorry for butchering Nina's intelligence.)

Took a stab at what the Terran Alto linorail would look like, and I'm probably wrong, but please forgive me. I've learnt my lesson to not work on such small canvases in future, so I don't think there'll be many flash comics from me in the future unless someone can give me tips.

PLEASE ALLOW ANIMATION TO PLAY ROUGHLY ONCE BEFORE VIEWING

For our new assignment we were instructed to produce a series of 3 Flash, Adobe or Photoshop graphics based on any of our pre-production work that can be used as a standard sized web ad. We were then given a sheet explaining the guidelines on the sizing details in pixels.

I then went on websites such as YouTube and recognised the banners which 'pop up' whilst a video is being watched; websites such as Gametrailers.com had animated web banners going across the screen.

I then took notes from this to create two animations and a Photoshop still. I based the foundation look of my web grapgics on the front cover of house music group, Daft Punk's album cover for Discovery as shown below.

I was inspired by its funky font and the texture of the design. this urged me to find a similar font which I could create a web graphic from. I then found the perfect font and gave it my own design look. I firstly created the first graphic as a still in photoshop beforee taken it over to Adobe After Effects so i could animate it.

It's one of my favorite poems evar~

14-ish voices, but if you listen carefully enough, a lot of them are just "base voices" + little things like texture, different placement, (attempted) dialect, and so on thrown on. Not sure if I did too much with pacing and I have a decent feeling that these are "more voice than acting".

o_o; I believe 2-ish of these voices are in the "I can DO the voice, but can't do longer than half an hour without it hurting". If for some WEIRD reason you want to cast me based on those voices, well... Ask me first so I don't end up thrashing my chords forever.

That said, most of these are "voices I can do, but never get cast as" too. Someday I'll upload samples of my vocal and acting range that I can do competitively.

I tried making a lineart tutorial so hopefully this helps you guys XD
I made this for a computer project at school. (sorry my voice is horrible. )

Ignore the sound for like the first 15 seconds because i was choking on something. XD

The image I used is from the manga Witch Hunter, character is tasha godspell. The lineart was made from chapter 30

Here's an updated version of our preliminary company website intro... this time with the 3D still of the box comped in. The 3D box was modeled and textured by my colleague Markus Hagedorn.

The images on the box consists of all the work we've done and some of our personal artwork.

I've also refined some parts of the animation so that it runs more naturally.

This is part two of the long hair tutorial.

A tutorial teaching you how to color long hair. quite repetitive when compared to the short hair tutorial, but it doesn't hurt to show the process i suppose.

Well yeah here it is.

Lineart used was a cover page from the manga: Heart no Kuni no Alice. ( I don't own it.) I traced the lineart BTW.

Elemental Orbs

More motion graphics! Yay!

Another VC.net one. This one I really like cause of the color variation and sophisticated look, despite the few and simple elements.

The idea for this is the three "elemental" orbs.
One is Fire. The red one of course. I had a lot of fun with this one. I used some fractal noise to make the "perpetual explosion" in the center and some particles whirling around make it look like sparks.

The second one is Water. The blue one. I used another fractal noise for the water in the center, but I added a vector blur to it to make it look more watery. Add some particle bubbles, and I like how it turned out.

Number three is Wind. It's green in the background. Since it's entirely out of focus, there's not a whole lot of detail. The color is the main point.

I added a title for a fictional production company just to give this one purpose.

The whole scene was created from scratch using just two textures. The rest was all generated from within AfterFX. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Edit: Adjusted the title font and sped up the fade.

I finally put on the textures for the tardis and some parts were glitched up. I decided to make the intro anyway because i was like "I REALLY WANT TO MAKE DIS NOW!" so i did and don't think many people will notice the glitches! So SORRY if you do notice it!

Ancient Titles

So I've begun dabbling in motion graphics again.

This is simply a title style in an "ancient" kind of feel. I like how the light rays and the subtle wave effect as well as the floating particles give the sense of being underwater on some ancient shipwreck or something. The ancient writing texture on the background really sells the ancient idea, I think. And if you look closely, the particles only exist in the light rays, and the rays themselves change. I also like the colors. I think the scene blends well.

I'm pretty happy with this one.

Constitution - Bussard Tests

Ok i've just made 2 major breakthroughs with learning how to use Blender:

1. UV unwrapping - I can now place images anywhere i want on a model even if its very complicated. Before it was mostly guess work to get the images to map to each normal (face) of the model.

2. Animated Textures - I can use AVI video files as textures for my models.

So with both these two new discoveries under my belt i decided it was time to give my Constitution some love. Now for the non geeks among you the orange bits on the engines of star trek ships are called BUSSARD COLLECTORS. One of the defining features of the constitution class is its moving bussards that look like they are spinning.

So i created the texture using Flash and behold i have working, spinning Bussards !!!

I rendered 2 quick animations to show you. Enjoy !!

This is the intro movie to a student game that i am the animator for. So far its only a work in progress.. Everything you see is created in 3D.

I am going to Improve on the Text and give the spaceship a texture. And the Planet will blow up at the end!!

Thoses tribal was made with Illustrator ( cuz anyway, they're right like nothing! ) and texturized with Photoshop. Of course the anim is made with Flash. I don't work a lot on this, it take my 8 mins to make so its just a simple animto present my tribal. Enjoy!!!

You all remember Biff, the semi-retarded alien from my unfinished final animation? Well here he is in all his glory. All modelled and rigged by moi, used a generic texture that came with Lightwave and modified it for his gross slimy skin.

This is an intro ive been putting together for a site.
The 3d models were done in Solidworks / Acad2K
The motion was created with 3dsm. After rendering the render movie was converted into flash

Its still a little rough, still missing some textures. The hammer needs to be rotating while its moving and strike the star as the star stops. Im having a few tricky problems with the motion controllers of 3dsm still - it keeps wanting to do it backwards from the way i want (help!!!)

Sound also needs to be added but those are final stages to be done in flashworks when i get there!
