THE KRAMPUS is the mythical creature who accompanies St. Nicholas during Christmastime, warning and punishing the naughty little children. If Santa Claus is the carrot, then certainly Krampus is the stick. With the classic looks of a demon from Hell, it is no wonder children fear it in parts of central Europe. According to legend, when the Krampus finds a particularly naughty child, it kidnaps it in its sack and will presumably eat it for Christmas dinner.
