This is a part I'm sure will become part of ME3 or some expansion pack for ME2, where Shepard will need to settle the war with the Quarians and Geth. This option I wrote about has the following done:

-Legion kept
-pushed the Quarian people towards peace
-legion loyal

I really hope bioware allows us to end this war before it begins.

It sucked real bad and, although the extended cut made me change my mind and think of it as 'the perfect ending for the Mass Effect Trilogy', I still wanted my Shepard to live and be with Tali. This fic may be cliche or may be a little impossible but who cares? It's my fic and I'm proud of it

I actually wrote this on a whim, I was frustrated with how another Fanfic I was writing wasn't turning out right and I got into a strop and went onto tumblr, where I looked up Kal and Veetor and was like "I love these two!"

then I decided to re-read "Shasta Trinity" an amazing Kal'Tor fanfic that I'd stumbled upon one time while surfing for something Kal related to read

So then inspiration struck me and I started writing this last night. finished it this morning and decided I deemed it alright enough for me to post (might regret that later but meh, whatevs!)

anyway, just some fluff. it was really difficult to keep them in character, especially Veetor. I wanted to show how much he'd progressed in life but at the same time I wanted people to know it was the same person... maybe next time it'll be better.

yeah, the geth bit at the end is vaguely inspired by Wall-e xD

Mass Effect Cataclysm 1

I don't have enough room in the title area to use the word "Chapter" so I'm going to just use numbers to denote chapters. Also check out the Prologue before reading chapter 1. For even more back story, read my Mass Effect 3 series which is complete. This story acts as a sequel to my ME3 series, but takes place 500 years in the future. I'm expanding on Lucas' character and I'm adding some new ones, some whom will be permanent residents.

I will continue to use the Codex entries as a way to further expand upon the universe that my story inhabits.

I actually now have an appreciation of the Star Wars people. Some may complain that despite hundreds or even thousands of years differences between stories (games, comics and books included) the technology doesn't really seem to progress. It's hard to think of technology more advance than the most advance technology. I still try to improve upon the technology in the Mass Effect universe. I again added new codex entries to explain a few things of the MEC universe. I actually had to do some serious scientific research into one of the weapons.

This story is from his Shepard's universe, Blake Shepard, who married Tali and has a daughter, Hikari. Hikari is an adopted unknown alien that took some of her parents genetic makeup by touch when she was rescued from a burning unidentified craft that crashed in a meteor shower on Rannoch.
Garrus married Liara (Such an amazing idea!) and they have a daughter Raelene.

Chapter 43 of my Garrus/FemShep fan fic.

I have been working on this chapter for days now and I really struggled with parts of it. Hopefully it's not riddled with typos. I'll check it again in the morning! I just wanted to get this posted before I went to bed : )

We've got the Priority Rannoch mission and sadly...we lose Legion. There was no way around it and nothing we could do to save him! His personality was lost in giving the geth true intelligence. It's what he wanted though and I have to respect that. But hooray for Tali and her home world, yes? Happy happy.

Also, how'd you like my little inclusion of Garrus' C-Sec days and the incident with the keeper?! Lol. If you have read the story - here's the link: [link]

And yes, I believe in bond marks AND clan markings and all that. This is my take on how all of that would happen!

Echo Squad - Dreadnought part 1

Before Sovereign, before the Reapers were ever a threat one race was already at war with their own creation. Along with there regular activities the Migrant Fleet was conducting operations against the Geth. In a constant struggle to stop Geth expansion and try and retake the homeworld Rannoch. These are the following adventures of Echo Team, one of a few Special Operative teams sent on high priority missions.

Long range sensors picked up massing of Geth Forces along with something else, just as quickly they dispersed but something seems to be left behind. In the energy of a Neutron Star something has been left behind, Echo Team has been sent to investigate.

Revision note:
The new second half of this chapter was originally written for a chapter that I started but never finished. Its still not quite what I want it to be, but I figured its passable enough for now.

Original Authors Note:
The final section of the story was actually the first serious fanfic I ever wrote, in fact, its what started me on Haestrom and, eventually, Awakening. Originally, Shepards reply to Talis what have I given you question was a simple you gave me you. As you can see, I expanded it rather significantly.
I plan to go back through the entirety of the story and rework any sections that need it (after two weeks time). For those loyal few who made it to the end, thank you. Your support was key. Authors note:
The title of the story had no meaning originally; I let the readers try to guess and that was that. Now, Awakening has been given a very specific meaning: it refers to Shepards re-realization that he is not in control; that he relies on a higher power. The chapter was originally going to be titled Rannoch, but I decided to go with the storys title for the purpose of solidifying the storys theme/message.

Mass Effect 3: the GOOD ending! female shepard

The ending to Mass Effect 3 really disappointed me. It seemed like no matter what choice you made, you got the same ending: Shepard died, The mass relays blew up, a ton of aliens are trapped on earth now, and for some reason, the Normandy was running away. So I thought, what if the Reaper code mentioned by Legion on Rannoch could be used? instead of destroying everything, it simply shut down the reapers? so, this is what I came up with, hope you like it!

Like many others, I had beaten ME3 to be supremely dissatisfied with the ending. Mainly for the reasons that were common amongst others who had invested so much time and emotion into the series:

Lack of narrative coherency.

Creating another conflict in the stories resolution.

Massive plot-holes in the ending.

...and (the reason that pissed me off THE MOST) making your decisions, your sacrifices and all the investment you put into the story feel absolutely useless with a simple five minute "broken crossroads" ending.

Then I saw the indoctrination theory. [link]

And even other fan-fictions that made the best of Bioware's (or should I say, EA's?) garbage ending. [link]

Not to mention I was rather curious as to the validity of DLC rumors (the DLC name being "The Truth." Had a link to the thread on the Bioware forums that mentioned it specifically, but I lost it... stupid me.)

That said, I know there are plenty of fanfictions out there that give alternate endings but the questions that stood out in my mind was, "What if the indoctrination theory was true? What about Shephard's rescue?"

So, I was inspired to write something that would expand and possibility answer those questions. Maybe it will even make sense for the rest of you.

Now, on to the context!

For those unfamiliar with ME3, many of the choices will fly over some of ya'lls heads. Therefore, it's not entirely necessary to read the following.

I played a paragon Shephard.

Nathaniel Shephard, Soldier, Earthborn, War-hero.

Personality wise, he is a fairly straight-edge and recognizes the need of regulations and rules, but also understands that there are a few moments when one needs to be assertive--moments when regulations and code do not give guidelines that explain how or what choices to make that are in the best interest of the mission, or the people you are trying to protect.

He romanced Tali, survived the suicide mission with everyone at the collector base. He convinced Wrex that Saren's "cure" of the genophage was not the cure Wrex wants and unwillingly sacrificed Ashley during the Virmire mission, and saved the council in the push against Sovereign on the citadel, realizing the Council needed to be saved if there was to be any chance of an alliance powerful enough to stop the likes of Sovereign.

In ME3 Nathaniel had united the Turians and Krogan, and cured the Genophage--and even oversaw the smoothing over of relations with Primarch Victus' son on Tuchanka by disarming a bomb that could potentially wipe out the Krogan--both by massive casualties, and by starting a war between the newly formed allies.

On Rannoch, the Commander had united the Geth and Quarians. Ending a centuries-old, bitter conflict and restoring hope for the Quarians all while making Tali's dream for a house on her homeworld, a reality.

Thane had been killed by Kai Leng, and Shephard mercilessly shattered the assassins sword and took special pleasure in taking the assassins life, especially since the Commander felt that he had failed in protecting a close friend and a good man.

Hopefully the paragraphs above gave you some context. Now, on to the story.

(As a side-note, this issue mainly goes along with the Indoctrination Theory, and, although I agree with the Indoctrination Theory, leaves one GIANT question unanswered: Even if Shephard is rescued, what now? How do we fight the reapers? How do we win the war? Do we rely on the other races and our assets to win the war? Or do we rely on the Catalyst? I personally think the first option would make more sense... and hopefully you all will like my interpretation.)

After going over Legions dialogue again, it occurred to me that the geth didnt understand why Rannoch is so important to the quarians. Expansion started from there. The reworking of the shower scene was done out of necessity (see previous chapters revision note.)

Transcribing Legion's final conversation with Shepard from the game was a simple task. Thanks to youtube, converting it was negligibly less so. Overall, a welcome change of pace in terms of writing difficulty.
