Vanity. For lack of a better title >_> I really should've just called this "An 18th Century Cliche," but I don't feel like changing it. But yes, this is completely cliche and random. After focusing on late 18th century fashion for so long, I had the urge to draw something a little different... and looking at Boucher's paintings of Madame de Pompadour pretty much convinced me that I had to draw some frilly, poofy, over-decorated dresses. It figures. I knew I'd end up drawing something like this sooner or later, but I'd hoped it wouldn't be this soon. Not that I don't love these types of dresses, but like I said, it's an 18th century cliche. (And because this was for the most part done on a whim, I didn't really plan it out too well... so the color scheme isn't really all that great >_< ... the composition is also kinda unbalanced, but oh well)

Anyway, here are Fallyn and Nell (from Flock of Ravens), completely out-of-character in mid-18th century clothing. I'll go back to drawing them in their normal outfits right away. I miss drawing those crazy hats ;_;

But...something else I think about vanity...that's sort of come up more recently in my life are peoples' complaints about their lives and surroundings are just as vain as when they admire their appearance or personality. We always see these people on Facebook or whatever say, "I hate people," and recently, due to my being single for a while, sometimes I think to myself that there is no one out there for me. I've been feeling isolated. And in a way, I think that both of those things are being so indulgent in yourself that--well, that's why I used the word BLIND. You're not seeing the merit in the people around you!

ANYWAY!!! , I hope you like it. I tried really hard to stay true to your vision and respect your beautiful lines. I hope you think I did okay! I totally love your style and it totally brought me back to the days when I drew Bang Bang, when I used to be obsessed with roses and feathers! I see this as kind of a sequel to that as far as my color choices go

After all, rolling around in the mud is okay for simpletons and cretions, but she is simply made of better stuff. And why risk getting herself dirty, or having her hair frizz loose from it's perfectly formed curls? Because it isn't worth it to her, her physcial techniques are completely defensive. Try to initiate an attack and she'll do her best to shout you down, voicing her displeasure in an ear-piercingly shrill manner - hopefully attracting other allies to her aid. If she has to hold her own for a few moments she might draw a parasol and use it as a shield.

Offensive Technique: Omnia Vanitas
Often dismissed as 'defensive' instead of offensive because of it's highly psychological nature, Omnia Vanitas (traditionally translated into 'All is Vanity') is a terrible vengence upon foes when she is pushed to unleash it. In a shower of reflective shards the recipiants of the attack are faced with images on the small refective surfaces which depict the fruitlessness of their resistance. They will see the vanity of their efforts, catching glimses of people who will not be saved, plots which will not be stopped, and loved ones who will die despite their best efforts. If this attack also causes physical damage (which seems likely as the shards are quite sharp) it has not been well documented. Most are focused entirely upon the devasting mental implications, as almost everyone who fights, fights for hope.

I hoped to dedicate the next couple of weeks excusively to Happiness Theory. but eh, staring at clean lineart and clean CG for so long gets boring. boring. BORING.

I wanted to draw something HAWT, in my personal definition of HAWT and... here it is! it's grungydirtymessyugly, perhapstoodarkforyourmonitor, younameit, but I like it. I do! I like grungy artses. Clean, "perfect" pieces bore me. They aren't any fun.

Also the Oronar family is holding up his throne and he made sure to belittle them as much as possible when he was younger.

However if this were in character...the second his chair hit the ground, the Oronar would TEAR him apart lol.

OTL Something random again. I've been trying to draw since I haven't in a while, but when I tried nothing looked right. So I'm giving myself a break and just went through my doodle folder and whipped this out and colored it. That's why you can't really see his feet... they don't exist. /hit

This outfit is kinda random. Elias is my dress up doll so I do whatever the heck I want. lol... though he's the most dressed OC I have, seriously. All the skin you see is his face and hands most of the time. You gotta work hard if ya want to see anything risque from him... _{And I bet he wears a lot of clothes so that it's harder for people to get in his pants} Something about Elias just prods my brain. How the heck can he stuff frilly sleeves into gloves like those??? HOW? Do black frills make him manry? Does it? OTL Nevermind... I'll just go work on stuff for events now. ]]>

an old sketch of my design of Pride for the Seven Sins comic XD looks like I was going for a burlesque approach. She's tames the animals in the circus and makes them perform tricks. And animals aren't the only things she tames XD Though seeing since Wrath is more of an illiterate and uncivilized neanderthal than the lesser idiotic twats in the circus team, he'd be pegged in the 'Animal' category.

She likes is absolutely infatuated by glitz and glamour, loves the spotlight and has an obvious but un-said loathing for Lucifer because he is 'undeservedly' the Ringmaster. Imagine what she could do when she calls the shots. She sucks up to Lucifer big time for more limelight in the circus shows, although she knows that Lucifer is perfectly aware of her intentions. Lucifer doesn't really do anything about her because that's just Pride, that's what she's like, and besides, he finds that having his ego stroked by her is undeniably pleasurable. At times there is friction between them which can get rather heated, but they know better and just grin/bare their teeth and get on with the show. I think she's the only one who knows about Lucifer's past and leaks it to the Envy twins (Jade and Ivy) just to see the looks on their faces XD Like I said, things aren't fully planned but I have an idea about her twisting the gullible twins around her little finger to get what she wants but of course Jealousy overrules any of this demonic miss' plans and thus creates the story about Envy.

honestly, even though I've not fully designed all of the characters in the Seven Sins comic, I've already imagined a little world and it's hard to cherry pick what I want for a story! It has to revolve around the Envy twins, and probably will focus on Lucifer and Pride but ... what would it be about...?

Plenty of time to consider that, since I'm not sure what everybody else working on the Seven Sins anthology is up to. I'm thinking the October deadline is an absolute no-no.

Still, enjoy Pride any ideas? umm... just say I guess =/ I want to work on this outfit. It's gonna have loads of sparkly sequins etc Oh yeah those circle things on her boots and earrings etc are mirrors. She will have lots of mirrors which will just be dazzling when the spot light is on her.

an old sketch of my design of Pride for the Seven Sins comic XD looks like I was going for a burlesque approach. She's tames the animals in the circus and makes them perform tricks. And animals aren't the only things she tames XD Though seeing since Wrath is more of an illiterate and uncivilized neanderthal than the lesser idiotic twats in the circus team, he'd be pegged in the 'Animal' category.

For the uninformed: My two own characters Sirius (left) and Deneb.

I did this pretty fast within two days. Yeah, I finally picked up a pencil after two weeks or sumthin...it's been a troubled week.

But this is one of the pieces I actually like. Yes, I really do.

I was supposed to do a background for it, but I got lazy :b So instead I just took some stock photos and changed them up a bit.

I had pictured this drawing turning out a bit more... bright and cute. But after I added the bg, it became kind of dreary because of the grey sky and everything. But I think I like this effect more. It makes the scene more dramatic x3
