This stood next to the "Ye Olde Country Store" in Hewitt, NJ. This is now part of Long Pond Ironworks State Park. This was an ice cream stand that opereated in the summer. There was a picnic area just below the stand, now under reservior. Babe Ruth used to get an ice cream here before going to his summer cottage which was just around the corner.

She was enjoying herself while eating her pink, stawberry-flavoured ice cream which shlashed on her pullover, her cheeks, her little nose. It was hilarious & unbelievable cute.

Another one from our Intarmuros shoot. I dang forgot what street this was, but all I remember is that it was the street that led to Ilustrado, the restaurant Kiks ~kiksology took me to before which had sampaguita ice cream. 8D

I always seem to have such bad luck when it comes to skies. These days, the skies are so cloudy, or aren't as blue as I wish they were. D: I'm saving up to buy a CPL filter for my 50mm to somehow minimize that little problem I have. XD

See, I know I have this somewhere in my galleries, but I can't find it anywhere XD So I decided to re-submit it, a little touched up. I love Osaka. This is in one of it's biggest shopping centres/malls. I seriously loved it. Me and Keri jerry-rose went down here a lot , because of the Purikura machines, we have loads of photos now. The first time we used one, we had trouble! Since we can't read kanji very well at all! So, we only got one copy of the first set of photos, Keri accidently pressed one set instead of two! How funny xP Anyways enjoy, I wish you all to be able to go to Japan, its one of the most fantastic countries you will ever go to, its simply beautiful. I'll add a few tips: 1) Don't worry if you're slow at Japanese, in city areas,(i.e. tourist places etc) a fair amount of people can understand roughly what you're asking/talking about, schools too, obviously. They also usually know at least some English in these areas. Peoples also talk slow to you, (usually) because, well, you're western and you're not likely to know Japanese! 2) Always say Thankyou. Its common courtesy. Duh. xP 3) When paying for things, there is usually a small square tray on the counter, put the money there. 4) NEVER EAT WHILST WALKING IN THE STREET! People consider it disgusting, I learnt the hard way. xD Believe me. 5) Make, at least a small effort to learn greetings and the basics, like, if you were to visit a home, formally, or informally, peeps will often say, as ~dtownley1 has pointed out that "douzo, suwatte kudasai" is asking for you to sit down. {I at first believed 'shitsureishimasu' was 'take a seat', but its not. XD EDIT: 2008/ Man. That's embarrassing, I can't believe I thought that. xD } 6) You'll know they are asking a question, when "ka" is at the end of a sentence. 7) Be yourself (within reason guys, I know my crazy watchers are out there! >3) 8) Go to some fancy restaurants (before going to japan) and try some sushi etc. I recommend okonomiyaki, its delicious. Although its not the same, it'll help you to climatize. Culture shock too, so read up on some customs. I didn't really have the problem, because, say, alot of anime (i.e. based off real life, tradition etc), reflects their way of life. For example, the Japanese are naturally reserved, and don't like to be embarrassed, things like showing love in public, isn't very....good. xD So when a guy shows affection, in the middle of a public area -- you know he means it!! 9)Try all the food. Seriously. Sea snails, I recommend them! You don't wanna' live off of KFC and McDonalds, it'll make you ill. I'm not saying its wrong, because its that what I did. I felt ill. But after I had more traditional stuff, I became regular again, if you know what I mean. XD (Heh ramen, its just so..... mmmm........) like those moving sushi bars! I went there with my (Japanese host) family! They laughed at me alot, but it was friendly, I tried this strange soup, with mushrooms in, it was salty, and the array of faces I made was hilarious. Utterly. Natto. Natto natto natto. The most strange stuff (if your western especially) you'll ever taste! Even some Japanese peeps don't like it! Whereas my host sister, Rika loved it. She 'wolfed' the stuff. Well....rather, she just liked it. It was wrapped in a green leafy thingy (maybe a nori wrap), and was a little like paste. I turned my nose up on it, because I'd tried it before. Natto. gahh....x3 10) Learn katakana well (it was designed to use english words i.e. aisukurimu -> Ice cream) it can save your life when looking for food. 11) Wear comfortable clothes, especially if your used to cold weather, like me, you'll cook. I was okay, because I am enduring, I rarely overheated, because I wear black all the time, and decided to also invest in buying a black umbrella. Which I still have. If you wear leggings a lot, invest in trousers. Because if worn to much, you can get heat rash.... *gets shot* Seriously. 12) Be careful of deer! In Miyajima, a deer attempted to eat my skirt. She almost succeeded! And if you're gonna' feed 'em, be prepared for a day's worth of stalking. My group (who I travelled with) ended up calling a deer Margaret because this deer followed a guy around, it was a love affair which didn't last xD He ran out of food, and the deer got hungry. Skirts away!!! You can see a deer photo here ([link]) and here ([link]) 13) Also, be calm around deer, if you're gonna be cuddly, be sure that there will always be their fella's around. Bucks. They run at you. The boys in my group got charged at often. I sat on a tree stump, just petting the young deer. I became the deer lady. Deer. lady. XD They didn't fear me. I love you guys, for putting up with me. Remember the tips! "Natto.....I am coming back for seconds!! Gambatte!"

Soooo I had a really long week! But it's ok, it was awesome

On Monday, I was in Debrecen and stayed at my friends, Blanka and Kriszti for a few days. This was the day before I left and we wanted to visit the Zoo of Debrecen but then the weather got bad and we went to the mall and visited a coffee shop which is in a bookstore. Is a great idea, right? I mean... books and coffee! It sounds great together! I had a very delicious and special coffee (orange and clove flavored). After we were spending a lot of time hanging around in the book store, we had this idea to the top of the mall because I wanted to see the city from above. Unfortunately the walls were too high so we didn't see too much but I took great photos of Kriszti with my umbrella and it was so much fan. In the evening, we went back to Martinka (where Blanka lives) and had an awesome evening in the garage again.

The next day was about leaving. We were so tired after those three days what we spent together. I packed my stuffs then we left Martinka and went to Kriszti's in Debrecen where her mum made us lunch and I had to leave the town at 1:30 pm. I had a long journey with a man who slept on the train and snored extremely loud. He seemed nice anyway. He just was a little loud.

Wednesday was a lazy day when I had time to pack my stuffs because this was the day before I left to Prague with my family. Everything seemed so nice but in evening, I got an e-mail that I can check my entrance exam points (you need points to get in to Hungarian universities and colleges). I knew that I will have 488 points but somehow they didn't count those points what I earned with the economics competition so I had only 416 points. This totally freaked me out! I cried so hard that I couldn't tell my mother what's wrong. I was really desperate. We phoned the customer service and I wrote a request for review (and I have so many problems with that...) and after a few days I got my points. But now, I can't stop hating the Hungarian entrance exam system...

We left to Prague on Thursday. I'm going to make a blog post with my pictures of this few days so I'm writing here only the most important things
So, our journey was sooo long and the Czech highways were so bad! Really, this is a beautiful country with forests and monuments but the highways were awful!
But it was really good for me to be abroad because I could use English language and now, I'm not so afraid of my exam
On this day we visited a cute little town, Telc before we went to Prague. It was so beautiful like I was in a fairy tale. We spent there a hour.
Prague was amazing. Our hotel was great, the room was totally OK. After we checked in we went to discover the old town. There were so many tourists but the buildings were beautiful.

The next day we had a big trip in Prague. We visited the palace (where is so many things to see!) and the tower of the Petrin hill and had a walk in the old town again.

On Saturday we left Prague and went to Kutan Hora where we visited the St Barbara cathedral and Sedlec Ossuary (which was "decorated" with human bones...). Our journey to home was really rainy but it was good to came home because it meant that Peti and I could meet again. We haven't seen each other since last Friday because I was in Debrecen with my friends and he was in Budapest to learn interesting IT things So it was so good to see him again! I can't find the words how much I missed him. We went together to Evelin's because Peti promised her to fix her computer. This thing lasted too long so I left after 2am because I was extremely tired.

Today, I slept until 11 am and visited my grandparents to give them a small gift from Prague. After I came home, I spent my afternoon and evening with Peti because he have to go to Budapest for another week. We had ice-cream and walked in the small streets of Komárom and I found a great location for photography. I was a little sad because I know that I will crazily miss him but it's always great to be with him. And I can wait August when we will spent a whole week together by Lake Balaton

Some of the best ice cream I've ever had was a treat from a previous employer. Every week in the summer they would bring in gelato, ice cream, slushies, or something else cool.

One day they had a creepy ice cream driver setup shop in the parking lot. Rather than the usual prepackaged treats he had his own soft serve machine that added syrups to the edges. AMAZING!
