This laptop is probably the single most prominent reason why my ex and I no longer speak. I let her borrow it for 3 months after our breakup. Because she needed a laptop for school. SO I was ok with it. Anyway, I was going to London and wanted it and I made a huge fuss about needing it back. And this led to an argument. The truth was I just wanted to see her. I barely even used the thing in London. Anyway, words were said that I don't think either of us really meant. But we haven't really spoke since then.

I love Apple computers. Not as much as I used to. I've been using Macs since I was 8. I was once on the same bulletin board as Steve Wozniak and wished him a happy birthday and he sent me a personal thanks. I was about 14. I was stoked. I worked for Apple when I was about 17/18. I was an in store rep and went around to places teaching the staff how to sell Apple products. Pretty cool.

THe company had an entirely different purpose when it was founded. I think the message they were trying to send out got lost somewhere along the 3rd generation iMac. Now it's just a trend thing. It's cool so more people like it. I remember when I was a kid I saw a fight break out at Mac users group meeting about MacOS vs Windows. And I used to have the same argument with all my friends. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see more people with Macs than in the past. And it stings they went with Intel for the new chips.

I used to love computers. And one day I just stopped caring. ]]>
