Align a line. What?

So basically, I came up with this idea last week (week 7), but I had like 4 exams in 3 days so I didn't really have the time to shoot it.
I still don't have the idea for this week, though. I'm come up with something, hopefully. :

Original title is goo.

I made it with flour, water and black ink and didn't stain anything! The specks of flour are the reason why it's a bit grainy, it's not noise.

Line six - cherish your moments of satisfaction, they may be your best
Line seven - live your life only for yourself. Others have their own lives to live for
Line eight - surprise yourself with something new. A day with no surprises is a day you lost
Line nine - death will come. Accept it and just enjoy your time living
Line ten- make up your own space between the lines. It is all up to you

Anyways, don't have a parade yet, I'm not sure they returned it to me in top shape, we shall see when I shoot a model in a day or two.

In this past week, the long complex two year relationship I've been with in a Romanian girl may now be over, as it's now for her to decide whether we're worth fighting for still or if she wants to move on with her life. Needless to say my mind is a wreck right now with uncertainty and confusion; not knowing what answer I'd be better off having, which is why I want to explain this photo more.

To me, this photo represents the fine lines we have with our emotions. How we can slip and fade in and out of different emotions, or be left somewhere in between them, like how I currently am.

I'm not sure whether to me, if the pinky-orange sky represents a fading love, or maybe the depressive mind I'm currently in, or even perhaps a calm, relaxed feeling I have yet to feel from all this.

Below that red line you see a busy and lively road. I see two opposites in the photo being divided by the line - just like emotions.

I’m sure you have your own views of this too; and I’d just like to say no-one’s view is wrong at all. You can feel anything you wish to from this photo; that there is no single way to look upon this photo at all.

I wonder which side you're on right now? Maybe you're even in the middle, on that fine line...

Wow, thankyou one and all, I am totally overwhelmed by the response to this 5000,

and 38,000 views in 36 hours!
I wanted to write a response to all your comments and favs but this is just unrealisetic to do individually so thankyou all for your kind words and support.

As I said in the original description, this concept is an old one, I have seen it in non-descript books before and with red filters. We were talking about lighting and depth of field in my photography course I have started so I thought what the heck and had a go at this. I was presently suprised and proud of the results so I put them on my humble gallery (490 PV and 9 watchers). Next morning I had 2,300 favs and this has since increased to where we are now so thankyou for the support. Personally I think the reason for its success was two fold, the lack of peoples knowledge of the concept (that a heart could be made from a circular object) and the interpretations people have drawn from it.

Comments include:
- Wow I didn't know that would happen
- I love how you have placed it next to heartless in the dictionary
- Omg, wow! That's oddly deep for something so simple...
- so boring. you've done nothing different here at all
- Makes me think of divorce, or infedelity...
- I thought it was a wedding band in a bible at first glance. Come to find out it's next to the definition of heartless. Seems like an appropriate photo to share with my ex-fiance
- I think it's beautiful but it also seems very sad to me. ;; Heartless...
- It's so simple but yet so complex. congratulations
- I like how the shadow of the ring forms the heart and the line on the book divides it. it's somewhat haunting.... it shows the feeling of loss and dissapointment of a break-up.
- The use of a ring, like a wedding ring is so thoughtful. You assume it's romantic until you read the book text, nice twist
- In terms of originality, your usage of the particular definitions is admirable, but misleading in terms of the composition; there is a HUGE juxtaoposition between the symbolic "endless love" that is represented by a ring, but, as I know...a ring is just a ring, not love.
- Ring representing the union of love and creating a heart next to the definition of hearltess gives me the impression that someone was dumped by someone they love and calling him or her hearless for doing it. It just makes me think of the conflicting feelings after a breakup that the two parties feel, one heartless and cold the other loving and betrayed. I think the owner of the ring was the one that was dumped and their ring shows how they still feel about the other person, but at the same time is bitter shown by looking up hearless to describe how they think the other person is. Very powerful!

I kept messing it up and not aligning myself ( I was using tripod & self timer) and did it about 10 or so times. When I was happy with the result, I turned and saw that an old man walking his dog had stopped to watch my bizarre antics. He smiled and walked off. I must have looked completely mad because he was not in line with the cloud, so he would have seen my press my camera, run like a madman to the same spot 10 times and preform a melodramatic pray to god.

But he said nothing.

anyway...

Photoshop for the crazy colours. I was in a summery mood, to explain the headache inducing brightness of yellow and dark blues.

I haven't taken photos in so long! Anyways thought I would have fun doing this, didn't actually have so much fun cus those things gave me hell to cut out (I know they kinda look shabby, but thats what happens when you mess with veins and cells, that sounds weird

)

I was trying to rush them before the leaves started to wither but luckily they didn't die as quick as the other leaves I tried before

I was also trying to hurry cus the sun kept hiding, and the angle was really narrow cus there was lots of things in the background and I wanted the sun too!

i was surprised to see the 'blood' flowed in such symmetrical forms, lines.

i'm sorry for such a long ass description...u don't have to read it all obviously. i decided that i need to shorten the pile of unfinished photos on my computer... this is from june i think. fakeblood as usual (i use artificial fakebloods, please read more here [link]), theatrical wax to create fake skin which to make the cut in, razor... and this is in the don't-try-this-at-home-category. in other words i just wanted to express extreme pain and weirdness...in an easthetically pleasing form...but i hope you can deal with your pain in some other way, this is not realistic.

Materials and Methods
An odd set-up due to the use of self timer. I'm wear a bed skirt

(because I don't have any real white dresses) with one end ties to a table, the other end I'm holding in an attempt to create a cascade-ish look. Flower is a white mum

Cropped, desaturated, color balanced (decrease in red and green) in post.

This is my first submittion with my new camera. The Canon 5D. I'm really exited about it, and I think it will be a love story. I will still keep using my Nikon D70 for Infra Red shots, and for a back up camera, but The "Full frame" monster is something I'be been planning on for a long time, and I finally did it.
