You all know that I'm a big fan of domesticated cats, but I also like big cats a lot.
Siberian tiger from Kosice ZOO, Slovakia.

Dirty ambient was because of too much snow and rain, really bad weather,
but when I returned in May, his place looked way better.
There is a stream from a mountain in front of him, so he has clean water all the time.

INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:

Name: Arctic Wolf (Canis lupus arctos)
Location: Canadian Arctic and the northern parts of Greenland
Size: 1.8 m long, 79 cm high weight: 75 kg
Diet: Caribou, musk oxen, Arctic Hares, seals, ptarmigan, lemmings. Arctic wolves eat all their prey, also its bones and fur
Conservation status: common. They still live in the whole of its original range, because local conditions are too extreme for humans.
Interesting facts: mother gives birth to some 2-3 pups in May. Pups are born almost black – as they get older, colour of their fur turns to white. Adults are completely white, even in summer | arctic wolves live in the pack of some 7-10 members. Only alpha male and alpha female mate | arctic wolves have shorter ears and nose than other wolves species. They also have thicker fur, shorter legs | they do not run too fast, their advantage is persistence

Name: Red fox (vulpes vulpes)
Location: red fox is native to North America, whole Europe, whole Asia, north Africa and it was introduced to Australia
Size: 100 cm long body + 45 cm long tail, 40 cm high weight: 12 kg
Diet: red foxes are omnivorous and are highly opportunistic, so they eat almost everything from small insects to cranes. Red foxes hunt insects, worms, fish, birds, mice, rabbits, crayfish, baby deers. But they eat also fruit (apples, blackberries...) and plants.
Conservation status: Least Concern (the most common carnivora)

I wasn't sure if I should upload this one...had a lot of problems here with overexposure as you see on the rocks. :/ Cloudless sky is really problematic at the enclosure of the arctic wolves, because you have to switch between extreme light and extreme shadows, but I'm happy we don't have such problems with light like Schönbrunn in summer. Nevertheless I often had to switch my setting really fast. (I take my photos in manual mode, for the ones who want to know)

In its former glory before human hunting took its toll, Tigers could be found in an unbroken band from the inlets of the sea of Japan to the Caspian sea.

I promised a friend to upload a scene from the feeding of the tigers in Schönbrunn, Vienna, Austria, and here it is!

It's a siberian tiger, one of the most risked animals in the world.

Some important things for all the haters, supporters and the poeple who think this picture is photoshoped

First I want to say, that when you are aextreme vegetarian or you simply hate the picture and you cant live when animals eat animals, ignore the picture and dont look at it.
For my part, I dont think that this picture is glory.
If you cant ignore it: read more above!!

1. To say to me I have to die, I have to be feeded instead of the rabbit, or the craziest of all the names you gave to me, --> "Hitler miss you" (to the user who wrotes that, send me a note and me can make a really big discusion where I can say many things to you and your thoughts of all the Austrians and germans, really, send it), isnt a very intelligent solution for your problems

2. To insult me as for example a fucking monor isnt a very nice way to write in the comments. In true life, you wouldnt do that, but in the internet, you think that you are a big girl/boy who is the most popular hipster on the world and its fair to your victims.

3. The rabbit was dead before the tiger got it to eat !

4. It isnt photoshoped, I could show you many pictures with glory content of the feeding. This is one of the most harmless ones.

5. When I would have uploaded a picture where the tiger just eats a piece of meat, this shitstorm wouldnt have happened. BUT, I didnt

6. When you are against the tiger and for the rabbit, there wouldnt be any tiger or to say the truth, there just would exist herbivore and they would be so strong populated that they would eat all of our crop and we would only have meat to eat. Hmmm, stupid??

7. It's stupid to want to change the be haibts of the tiger (the tigers are there for all predators) because it is a predator and it wont let you to change his interest. They would starve and their body isnt built for vedgetables and fruits like oranges and carrots.
Thats a really stupid idea. In fact, when you would give them oranges or something else, they would eat you too.

8. It's a shame to compare this picture with cannibalism. Can you see there anywhere a tiger who eats a tiger. It shows the same like when people eat rabbits or whatever.

9. People eat animals too. It's unfair to judge tigers to eat rabbits. For sure, rabbits are really cute, but thats unfair because chicks are the same as rabbits. They are creatures on this planet and its unfair to judge them how cute they are.

10. THANKS to all my supporters!!! You brought me to smile again. The shitstorm isnt about my picture itself, its about the content and I knew that something like that would happen.

I was at the ZOOM Erlebniswelt yesterday to take pictures of the puppy there... I had no luck this day, the little girl was sleeping all the time I was there... As I was waiting there for the little wolf to move, I heard a mother talking to her child and saying, that the three older wolves were kind of ugly...

Tough winter on the deer in parts of CO this year with the recent drought years and habitat loss, etc. Many suffered from malnutrition, resulting in easy predation for the lions and coyotes. BUT this young girl was looking rite as rain this overcast day when I peaked over the hill. For about 2 seconds she looked concerned.. then continued eating. Was great to see.
Some of these family groups of deer were down some 90+ miles from their summer range in the higher elevations. Fantastic animals! Feb, 2013 Lay, CO.

Otocolobus manul - Pallas's cat, (a.k.a The manul).
This is the female manul and she was sitting on a rock for a very long time.
She was very active and walked around, but whenever she wanted to sit
down, she always went to this one rock and it was perfect sunlight there,
which made her eyes glow. She was really beautiful

Where I was this past weekend! It was a lot of fun. The horses were on the beach most of the time, which was a first for me. All my other visits I was lucky to find them on the very edge of the beach. This was a small band of four horses, they were the prettiest bunch, though. The male is off to the side a bit, couldn't fit him in.

A lobo takes a casual walk in the Brookfield zoo outside of Chicago, Il as I followed it with my camera at a low shutter speed.

Panning wolves is incredibly much harder than panning a train. There is just much more movement within the animal than that of a train. At that, Ive panned trains at 1/25th of a second while this was done at 1/50th of a second. Ive seen some pan a wolf at 1/10th of a second so it can be done with a little luck and skill.

If you like Mexican wolves, I suggest visiting the Zoo. It has a excellent wolf exhibit!

A lobo goes about her business, walking around, stalking the perimeter, making sure no trespassers are going to invade her turf. She is part of a pack of wolves in the Cleveland Metro parks zoo. I should run this thru photoshop and try to add some color.
