Face Change .:. Older Ila

I gave her another face-up a while back, this time with an airbrushed cross in stead of a painted one. Also made her look more like the younger Ila when it comes to colour-choice and all. I'm much happier with her now.

Not the best picture since the sun was already setting.

Generally Percy was a pacifist. He was more or less indifferent to just about everything but snow and his brother.

On the rare occasion someone or something would be able to get under his skin, and that's when the change occurred. Eyebrows would furrow and Percy would shape shift into his go-to form, the unicorn.

so I finally went and saw Brave yesterday with one of my best friends.
we'd been planning to go see it since back when they very first started showing trailers for it; and it's been out for a bit now, but I wouldn't have wanted to go see it with anyone but her so it was worth the wait.
people have been telling me that they think Livi looks like Merida since before the movie even came out, and my new shirts from guppykisses came in the mail today so I decided to throw together a sort of half-assed Merida outfit 'cause this shirt is about the same color as one of her dresses in the movie.
I had to fuss around with her wig a little to get it to look a little more curly so that it was more like Merida's hair, and if I'd planned more far in advance I would have done pipe cleaner curls; but I think it turned out well enough for such short notice.
I also photoshopped her eyes so they're more blue 'cause I hate repositioning eyes so I didn't want to switch back to her old ones for this xD

I didn't know what I wanted to take a picture of today, but I've sort of been itching to do a room set-up one of some sort for awhile since it's been quite some time.
and then when I saw the picture that =Knibitz posted earlier I got an idea, and decided to do a sort of response shot I guess xD
oh, and for those of you who don't know... Pan is imaginary, and Lena can't see her; so she's unaware that Pan is being a creeper.
I'm not super thrilled with how this turned out 'cause it's kind of grainy and gross, but the light had gone to shit by the time I got it set up :/

Continuing on with my collection, here we have the Beauty Change Sailor Mercury doll. One of the very first Japanese dolls I ever purchased. Want to know how much I paid? $30! Seriously though, people charge way too much for Sailor Moon dolls so I'm glad I snagged this one at a reasonable price.

She's totally gorgeous and probably the crowning glory of my collection. It makes me wish I had more Beauty Change dolls. Ah well.

Cute Bread

Hehehe... This is not cute at all XD Poor little bread slice... TT_TT
Oh, and this is not bread... We call it "budín". It's sweet and we usually eat it for Christmas. This is (was) a vanilla budín but there are some with raisins, other dried fruits and chocolate chips and also there are chocolate budines.
I'd call this pudding in English but some people use that word instead of flan and this is not flan XD

Strawberries, orange, apple and banana drizzled with lemon juice and honey then served with a cheeky chocolate (made with my chocolate molds) in a an orange cup.

Fresh from my local market. You can't really get much fresher than that! (unless you are fortunate enough to have your own or access to a fruit garden!) So refreshing and the honey gave it a lovely extra burst of flavour.

I also have to say, this was such a joy to photograph! I love food photography so much but rarely get to photograph food with such vibrancy so it was a lovely change.

My best friend is on a diet and coming to my house after his gym session today. My fiance is also on a diet so i thought i should make them something a little bit healthy for a change. Of course me being me, i couldn't help resist having some sort of chocolate in this dessert.

TIP: When making a fruit salad or generally using sliced fruit, add a drizzle of lemon juice over the top to reduce discoloration, especially if like me, you like to make things in advance.

I'm emo because what I just typed just went down the drain w/ an error page upon submission. =_=

Anyway, I was saying... This is from one of the shoots done in Tokyo a while back. The outfit was made especially for these Siamese twins for this photoshoot. I think that's pretty epic considering what a brand Alice Auaa is. T_T

The shoot was pretty stressful. The dolls are porcelain, cost more than 3 times my Canon 1Ds MarkIII, and outfit and set changing take more than hours with four people. But I'm uber glad I had the opportunity.

A major thank you to ~Kagetsuki and ~Gurololi for being so helpful all this time. Shooting for GLB had been one of my dreams for the longest time, without you this wouldn't have been possible. ILU.

For those who asked, I think these are about 90cm. And title credits go to ~Kagetsuki <3

Because my work is copyrighted, I cannot share links to larger originals, sorry.

Editing was simply done with changing color tone to purple in color variation and selective color black to purple.

UPDATE: I got lots of questions about the objects in this pic since i posted it. So here the answers. The clock was bought in Annecy, France (in a store selling lots of Gothic products). The cross in the left is a gift from my mother in law and the one in the right is from a store called Pimkie.

I got asked to take a photo of my clock So, here it is...the full version of it

Oh lord, I love it and I don't really care if no-one else does.

He was always meant to be blond, you know.

Well, not the character, but the doll.

I have a feeling you're all going to hate me though, because I'm reshelling Oliver. I have to. He's supposed to be twenty-one and he looks like, sixteen. However, I am keeping the Ryu. I mean, he's a Ryu, and he's a pretty one at that. That's why I put the blond wig on him. Thinking of going back to the doll he was before Oliver. If any of you guys used to follow me back then, his name was Alex, and he's Ollie's little brother. Well, step brother. I'm thinking of making him Alex again.

But I feel bad because it doesn't seem that long ago since I last changed his name. Haha, poor guy, doesn't even know who he is!

But at least he's staying, I guess?

I was thinking of getting his face-up redone, but I actually kind of like it the way it is. I can't decide. Gosh, this doll! I never know what to do with him, but I think I pretty much completely adore him anyway, despite the fact that I have almost sold him on many, many, many occasions. Somehow he's still here. Aww.

This guy has been through a big re-working. Character, appearence, blahblahblah. Trying to work him in with my other characters without changing the story was my aim, and I'm pretty sure this will work.

Deja 'Mystic' Sunder is his name, and rare/dangerous/powerful/mythical/historical artifacts are his game. Living in an ancient mine on the side of a mountain, Mystic has built an enormous library of secrets and other dangerous things. He keeps to himself, mostly, only sharing his hoard if you have something he wants more than whatever he already has (in which you'd better want more than anything else if you're climbing that damn mountain for just five minutes of his time).

Aside from that, he's done a lot of hunting. He'll hunt anything if the money/reward is good.

Mystic also thinks he is haunted by the ghost of his father, which inhabits a painting... when, really, he's just a bit nutty.

I actually bought him a dark brown wig, but I kind of maybe like this one better. Which is an expensive boo-boo, considering this one had been lying around for months :/ Kind of don't want him to have grey hair, but he looks so damn good in it x.x

For once, not a random, unrelated title. He has an ickle riceball stickerrrr on his cheek! 8D

I darkened his eyes and added a bit of glitter... which you can't see. But still. Changed his eyes to brown, as they're supposed to be - blonde hair and brown eyes created what Grell is, and so I figure it should stay that way. He's such a cutie, how I adore my grellish Grell.

I know I have a pose kind of like this, put when you plonk him down like that... you say no to that face.

i'm not sure about the title...it sounds slightly too romantisized perhaps, but blood is life and...

this ain't larger than life obviously, i got the idea from a funny video i saw. i was just explaining in my journal about how taking this seemed to be just impossible, all the forces of nature being against me, after every failed shot i had to empty the glass and wipe it clean and try again. the damn (fakeblood) dissolves really fast so it's a one time chance after dropping the knife there. it looks pretty weird actually, perhaps not how u expect a liquid to look... but it's pretty much like in the video i saw. also the blood looks really weird in parts, like pixelated or something, but nothing inside the glass has been touched. at all. i cleaned up the surrounding, from relections and stuff. i wish the glass was of better quality, some of the distortions in the edges esp. are dull, but all in all it's good quality, my trusted sigma 105mm does a good job.

sorry i can't offer you a bigger size, a big print shall look great though. also, as you've noticed i have to put my name on every photo nowadays to slow down ripping.

hope you enjoy this. i kinda like simple stuff like this. i hope your monitors are working esp. in the white extreme cos the details of the glass easily disappear. also forgive me if it appears in your watch again in case i decide to change the title.

I've had this one in mind for a while... but I wasn't quite sure what to use for the dynamic part of the picture - the part that changes as time goes by. I originally considered using a dead plant, but decided it was a little morbid. Then I saw this sunflower plant, and used it. It was tough to get the picture I wanted though, because I couldn't find my 18-55mm lens (photographer's nightmare), so I was stuck with this lens. I think it worked out for the better, though. OK, enough about how this was taken...

Setup info:
Tripod-Mounted Pentax K10D, Pentax 50-200mm lens, minor edits in PSE6.

Phew, it's taking a lot of time and work to get this girl finished, but I love her so much already. <3
Although I'm afraid I'll have to tan her body again with a colour that's just a tad darker, because it doesn't fully..match her head, which I tanned with the old colour. So now I'm pondering about wether I like the colour of her face over the one of her body, because I could also just redo the face. =_= Muhr..dunno yet!

Trying out a wig from Iplehouse I bought her. Unfortunately the light was very, very grey, so I couldn't really capture the natural colours.
Might play with different colour of wigs in the different worlds too. This wigs colour is actually really warm, soft and rich in real life.
