EDIT: Ok, no offense, but I'm getting very tired of trying to tell you people this same stuff over and over again lol. Well, well, its quite a surprise even for me xDDD
I am still remember, 5-6 years ago my friends and I want to cosplay Harry Potter, (that time I should be Sirius, lol) but we never did it.
At February I rewatched all HP movies and it feels so nostalgic, that somehow me and James decided made HP cosplay. Oh my, I havent made cosplay for such a long time >_<
We was lucky to have awesome photographer (thank you so much, Yang Guang! =3 and I hope he will agree help us take more photos. I think I have some new kind of interest for cosplaying.

We used idea from this funniest HP comics ever I hope, dont mind that we made cosplay on her art <_<

The first two films were more close to the books; I guess everyone agrees here. The uniform design has been done by ~HarrySirius (boys) and ~kawaiiKumo (girls). They imagined the 'old' Hogwarts student to have had a different uniform; after all this were different times and every school's uniforms change during the decades. This one was meant to be more classic, wizardy and noble. I like it a lot! Especially the capes.

Sweet memories! The Marauders and the Slytherins, in a good old past.
These two groups are so different from each other. Gryffindors and Slytherins may attend the same school, still they live in totally different worlds. Hopefully this picture manages to convey this. The Slytherins: all in dignity, the heirs representing their noble families, aware of their future responsibilities towards the wizarding world (all but Snape, who just tries to fit in XD). And on the other side, the Gryffindors, or rather the Marauders, not caring for a thing in the world, having the time of their lifes (literally, they didn't manage to live a lot after graduation XD). The gloomy atmosphere of the Slytherin common room and the sunny playful afternoon nonsense of the Marauders.
Snape is lucky to be on the right side at this moment XD

This also gives off a bit of a melancholic feeling. This was when the world still seemed to be allright. A moment captured before it all broke down.

And at the same time, these photos unite some of my dearest people in the world.

I'm just back from Animaco and the final show of this year. We had an awesome audience (not as big as usually since it's only one of the smaller conventions we perform at, but 1000 people in a hall made for 650 is not that bad) and had a lot of fun this weekend.

I cosplayed Draco for ~Ravenic because she loves this pairing. So this is for you, love!

Snape is probably my favourite character in the Harry Potter series. The depth of his character is very fascinating and what makes it so intriguing is his relationship with Lily.

When I found out that my friends were going to be cosplaying the Marauders, I really wanted to cosplay Lily and have *twinfools as my Snape. I was so happy when he agreed to do it

We had a special shooting today - high up in the air!!
And it was raining and snowing and somehow NOTHING of it shows in the picture (you can just see a bit of the rain on Draco and Ron).
We were freezing so much.
But isn't it awesome to fly?

I read the books when I was little. Saw the movies when they came out. And now... I'm cosplaying Harry!

He's finally done - Gellert Grindelwald from Harry Potter!

I've been wanting to do this cosplay since book 7 came out. I had the wig and I had the fur - and somehow I never managed to complete him until now.

When he was introduced properly for the first time, I had this idea of him in my mind. Grindelwald was a very powerful wizard, and his power lay also in his ability to thrill people intellectually. He was a legal philosopher and he saw himself superior by mind and abilities. I saw him to be very beautiful and enthusiastic, shining above the world and dreaming to a glorious future. He knew that he was more clever and more talented than most of the others, and in his world was no place for people that were less than he in his eyes. He had a fiery mind, but a cold heart for those he didn't see as worthy.
Grindelwald is from Romania, a country in eastern europe, he went to school at Durmstrang and associated him to the northern wizards. Therefore I imagined him in a siberian fashion, with a fur-lined coat and a fur hat (because wizards should wear hats).
He was the pendant to Dumbledore, and since Dumbledore is gold and red to me, representing the light of the day, Grindelwald represents the light of the night - the moon, the stars, coldness, but not darkness. His 'evilness' is not darkness but piercing light and cold. He wasn't evil because he meant to but because his view of the future was too radical and he was too carried away with it to see it from a different point of view.

So in the end, 'my' Grindelwald became a bit like the Snow Queen. I love this character very much, he's my favourite from the Harry Potter series and I love this cosplay a lot. I was aftraid that the ice blue fabric and the warm fur wouldn't match well, but now I like it.
And I hope you like him, too, and you're ok with the way I interpreted him!

Harry Potter brought us all through our childhood and we wanted to tribute to it somehow. After the last film (WITH THE FILMS OUR CHILDHOOD ENDS ) we felt really inspired to do some cosplay. While thinking of the characters we talked about how awesome it would be to try out a Voldemort cosplay... Since the two of us took Bella and Harry the third one was ready to do this one.

Thanks a lot to for joining in as awesome Draco and who helped us out with photos! It was utterly cold and it rained but we managed to take some photos. I hope we will be able to do more shots when it will become warmer.
It really took some time to edit the photo, but it was definitely worth it. The result makes us happy!

This is the bridge seen in the first harry potter film. Its somewhere in scotland, i remember walking for ages and trying to keep my camera dry when coming round a hill/mountain we saw the bridge i nearly spent a whole film on it but this is the best one.
ive uesd it as a few christmaas presents and even sold a print of it at a art fair.
taken on my centon with a wide angle lense. printed in my grandads darkroom.
