it gave me a whole new way of trying to express this thing that happened to me and I had to run with it and she so so so graciously allowed me to steal these lines and rip them into something new - so thank you. concept for and his team for their alien spcies called Kist Ra'om

My first concept display the alien with their tentacles showing off and various skin tone/marking because the most striking features of this species were their head tentacles so I think these organs served many purposes in their daily lives and culture

However, I have to change it later cause it need to be stick with the early concept that :
"Their tentacles are a source of shame for them, not a source of pride, because it'd be like a human exposing their genitalia"
"For the Kist, their tentacles are supposed to be flaws, these flaws give depth and shouldn't be a beauty symbol for them."
"Admittedly, it'd be an interesting challenge to draw their 'collar' acting like a hoodie and integrating into their clothing, but I hope the artist is up for the challenge."

Just a thought I had recently.

We see so much evil in the world. The news, the governments, even our day to day interactions. There's so MUCH of it, that sometimes it seems overwhelming. It never seems to go away, and it fills our vision, like great dark mountains blotting out the sky.

But good...it's like air. It's everywhere, but we can't see it. We feel it. Little things like opening the door for strangers, smiling at one another, doing good deeds, being good people. It's quiet and soft and hard to see. But there's so much more of it than the evil. It fills the whole world, like the volume of air all around those mountains. And when we go without it, we suddenly notice its importance again, like holding your breath.

So when those mountains seem especially dark...think outside of them. Think of the air.

Just to let you all know, I am working on stuff. It was the last day of school today and I went to the beach with my school and teachers. I told my art teacher that I got stuck in an art block and she suggested that I do stuff with no meaning behind it. I saw Miley Cyrus' new music video and I love her even more now. I decided to paint her as a tribute to her. I really respect her and the message the song had. I saw the "party" she was singing about as her life. She is doing what she wants despite the fact that people can't get it out of their heads that she's no longer Hannah Montana. That shit ended years ago. I know exactly what she's feeling because I have changed so much in the last 8 years. My brother left to college when I was a happy flambouyant 8 year old basic bitch, and he came back when I was 13 depressed and going through what seemed like lots of shit at the time. I have been trying to open my mind to new things and really express myself and be who I want to be, but he couldn't handle the change. I sometimes get frustrated and want to conform to what people think by hiding my hair when I get laughed at by students at school, or act "straight" when someone says I'm "too gay". I respect her and the way she is such a fucking bad bitch and I love her.

Why I Stopped Writing

This is a true story. It took me 10+ years to write again. At the time I saw that I could really use my skill to bring people up or down. It was a sad day. Much later I realized that no matter what is being spoken of, the fact of communicating it and letting it be looked at and reached, no matter whether good or bad, hard to face or easy, FAR outweighed the emotion generated by it. Thus I'm on here writing and sharing it with all of you. I am happy with the choice I made and I appreciate everyone who is there to receive it, whatever the outcome.
