I thought long about this concept but the final idea came to me right as I was going to sleep, a giant dragon skeleton
entwined in massive roots.

But what happened here?
Feel free to think up a backstory behind this place!

A twig snapped underneath my boot,
breaking the awed silence that had befallen me and my companion.

Emerging from the forest, the sight shook me to the core.
You grew up hearing about it, the great beast, its mouth open in its last roar of defiance that was now forever silence.
But nothing could have prepared me for the actual sight...
It stood as a reminder to us all, its shadow looming over the city below never letting the inhabitants forget of the time when our lands were ruled by mighty beasts. Yet we had won.

This thought I had the most trouble comprehending. The sheer size of the monster had to be seen to be believed, it's wingspan alone stretching as long as the cliff face behind it stood tall. How could one human have prevailed over such a beast?

But he had...

One lone man, a traveller to the common eye but deep within his veins, magic ran deep.
The last dragon had no hope, or that is how they tell the story. That the beast, although the oldest and last living dragon to terrorise the skies and lands below was no match for the spirits that bowed before the mage.
He had entombed it in the land that it had once ruled. Not dead just frozen.

I felt a shiver run through me as I looked up at the skull, at the holes that still seemed to hold eyes and a hidden power. Magic in the land had died out along ago.

If the beast was to awaken.... There was no hope.

I made a video to go with these here where I explain what I use each for, how I made them, etc, so I'm not going to explain that all over. Here's the video:

Brush Presets Panel and My Brushes - Photoshop for Digital Painters

As I explained in the video I made all of these myself or they're variations of Photoshop's basic brushes. The soft brushes are in white because I use those to erase. If the brushes have a light blue box around them that means those are different strokes made by the same brush. The rest is pretty self explanatory.

* These brushes only work in CS6. After I made the video I confirmed they will not work with CS5 as CS5 only had bristle dynamic tips and there are none of those in this pack. I have fixed the pack and it now includes two files. CS6 users pick the CS6 one. The other, for CS5 users and below, should work for all versions of Photoshop but does not include brushes marked *. It appears these don't work either. Sorry. I'm searching for a solution but until then these are CS6 only

Feel free to use them for whatever you like, no crediting needed. I licensed them under CC, commercial, share-alike. Basically you can use them in paintings you're going to sell and you can modify and repack the brushes as long as you share alike (you can't just download the pack and resell it).

And now I think I deserve some shameless self-promotion for this...

All basic brushes... mostly, the music notes were a temporary brush and I textured the background a bit, but otherwise you can see brushes aren't that important:

With this one I used the Real Media Wet to Dry that I worked hard to tweak just right and a lot of textures. If you saw the video you can see me use quite a variety especially for the floor.

'Lulu' from my manga DIO+

Lulu is a clerk, working in the offices of the limbo.
She is always endeavour to perform her tasks properly, which usually consist of registering the names of the dead.

Because she happens to elaborate on the fate of the sinners too often, and even every now and then gets involved into conversations, she has been denied any type of promotion in her carrier.
Among the other demons she is not very popular because of her gentle way.

But thats why Lulu does not consider it necessary to report her colleagues or superiors of her special talent. Only to her sole friend, Veil, she confessed that she can hear the voices of the beasts, deeply hidden in the lowest levels of Hell.

I'll try to make Disney/Pixar characters in young and stylish concepts, some kind of "students", something like the new Pixar's Movie: Monster University.

Milo loves the Computers. He is studying history and archeology and loves to combine their knowledge with new software.
He used to be the typical nerd but now he changed his way of life (thanks to a girl ...) and prefers to "dive" into new adventures.
Also loves video games and one of his favorites is Bioshock! (obviously XD Bioshock and Ecco the Dolphin!)

I have changed the name to avoid confusion.
My intention was to create a semi-ambiguous image that referred to his name’s jumbled etymology. During the process I started to wonder what role the character has played in addressing or further obscuring Nietzsche’s original meaning.

My partner has been asking me ever since we met to make him panna cotta. I always put it off because I'd rather try something daring. I finally gave in, much to his pleasure. He reports that my panna cotta is the best he's ever tasted. Thoguh I get the impression sometimes that whatever food is in front of him is currently the 'best ever'.

Regardless, it was a delicious dessert that I can now tick off of my Accomplished list. I served this one with a diagonally layered raspberry jelly and topped off with some raspberries.

Inspired by Michelle Hoefener's mermaid paintings

No CGI/No painting. Everything in this picture is derived from a photograph. The mermaid tail was made out of paper mache and each petal was hand glued. The rock was made out of chicken wire, covered in paper mache and placed in a sandbox. 100+ hours in photoshop with over 200 layers and a week of building props. You can see the process on my Facebook

If anyone has any title suggestions, please comment! I tend to make my titles too literal :3

I finally got around to finalizing my mini pony/foal pattern. XD
I need to finalize the larger ponies later for MLP ponies, but the mini/foal is ready to go.

In any case, since there were some requests for unicorns in my shop's sale this month, I decided to make a cute little unicorn!

She was definitely fun to make but it took a long while to make her. @w@

I hope you guys love her, 'cause I've been so excited to show her off! >w<

A personal favourite piece from 2011.

Yes, this is fan art for the move Bolt, of the character Mittens. I do enjoy that movie and so I chose to do a little image of kitten Mittens waiting and watching for her owners to return.
_{I can't remember exactly where the references came from but I know the reflection of the window was a stock photo and the reference I used was movie pics so...}

I don't know why but this remains one of my all time favourite images I did... even with it being fan art it still turned out as I wanted it and I had a lot of fun with it.

Actually something I did to put on my tumblr but tumblr has this thing where they don't accept things that are too cyan and/or saturated, so here's the original version on dA.
Done in watercolour, and the effects are done with AfterEffects and put together with photoshop.
I did something like this before, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I wanted to do another one for my daily sketchbook project .
