Bio: She was born in USA as an unwanted child, thus she had never known about her real family, and spent her first years in an orphanage`s house where other children and even adults had constantly pick on her for various causes. Once she had enough of all bullying and harassment in there, she grabbed a fork from the dining table and killed 2 persons with it before ultimately escaping. She was targeted on constantly, but never caught.

After 2 years spending in the streets of her hometown, escaping law and stealing stuff to survive (she was at that time 12 years old and constantly a target to pedophiles and rapists), she once tried to steal a wallet from a soldier who had special honors in his clan and only her excuses as well as her story had prevented the worst. He spared her immature behavior towards him and took her to his clan of soldiers where she first met with the definition of honor and rules of behavior.

She spent most of her years there and she considers those years to be the happiest years of her life, even thou she was only able to do normal housework there like a normal woman. That, of course, didn`t stopped her from doing regular athletics work, watching other soldiers training and even sneaking into the weapon storage room where she first saw Katanas and other weapons that really fascinated her. The soldier who "rescued" her from the streets disciplined her, taught her and at the end he treated her like his own daughter progressively with her behavior change. When she reached maturity as a fine athletic woman he persuaded the leader of the clan to enlist her to the Administrator (she had them in honors as well because of their invaluable work on the battlefield) and he immediately let her go there (in order to get rid of her).

At Scout training course she met Methusi who was at that time training herself to be a Medic and both girls soon became friends, much to training staff`s opposition. The Administrator even tried to destroy it like she did once (WAR! update info), but their friendship had withstand it and both girls learned from this that the Administrator is a woman of no honor, thus starting to plot against her, until Methi`s departure to the battlefield, which forced herto escape from the facility.

Nowadays Golden Dragon (she got that "name" in the clan where her soldier "father" took her) seeks more knowledge about inner workings of RED and BLU in order to free herself from them and seeks Methusi in order to join her in her own quest of finding her destiny. She consider battles for freedom as "honorable missions" and will not hesitate to join them and in secret she wants to be an irreplaceable member of "the most honorable Soldiers the world knows".

Of course she has not escaped the wraith of her ex-friends as well - she is apparently cursed with disability to see nothing but missing-textured world. In order to cover this and somehow nullify the effect of it, she is constantly wearing Professor Speks.

Bringing back a few classic outfits from the original concept art

The guy turned out really good, but I messed up a lot on the girl primarily because the copic marker for purple was SO DARK.
And yellow kept blending with black, making a horrible yuck color. Yellow reminded me of highlighter because no matter how many times you layered it, it never really turned into something darker. So I tried to cover most of the yellow up with orange instead.

(Because in all honesty... I realized I hadn't really drawn any shippy stuff of these guys yet. And I love them as a couple... Even though there won't be much of it in my story for a while. I drew this really fast, so even if the poses and anatomy are somewhat off I don't really care. I still think it's cute. ^-^)

More about Sai and Akira:
These characters appear in my original story Katana. Their part in that will be revealed as time goes on, but to give you a taste of who they are...
Sai is a warrior prince in self-proclaimed exile. He blames himself for several events that were really beyond his control, but at heart remains a caring and noble person. He's a bit of a lone wolf, but would gladly sacrifice himself to protect those dearest to him. He also cares deeply for others despite trying to distance himself from the world around him.
Akira is a mercenary from the Dragon countries, and as the great-grandchild of a Dragon still has many of the gifts unique to their race. She can be very self-centered at times, but she also has a strong streak of loyalty.

The story behind their story, however, is rather sweet as well.
Originally, these two characters belonged in radically different stories. Akira was going to be the heroine of another story that I lost interest in writing... But it just so happened that I was beginning to work with Katana a lot at that time. I still liked Akira's character, so I decided to add her in.
I was tweaking Sai's part of the story at that time and realized he and Akira would foil each other nicely, and enjoyed getting the two of them into arguments. (Their views on the world are very different, after all.)
...I'm not sure when it hit me exactly, but somewhere along the way I realized that they don't just foil each other, they make each other whole. It takes them a while to realize the truth, too, but it's one of those cases where they were meant to be... Despite the fact that they (literally) were randomly thrown together by "fate."

Hence, the title "Love Will Find a Way."

Sorry for the long description, but I really love these two. <3

OK so Mental Health Awareness was the closest category they had to Zombie Uprising Awareness.

Here's the details:
Main Weapon: 30/30 rifle w/ scope. Bolt action repeater. Quick, accurate, and powerful enough to blow a zombie's head off without being too loud.

Secondary Weapon: Katana - for when they're too close for comfort

Ammo: Gernades, Hatchets, and extra rounds

Sidekick: (except with kickass blue hair)
Sidekick's weapon: Cricket Bat, need I say more?

Vehicle: Jeep Wrangler 4x4 - fast enough to out run the horde, rough enough to get over rocky terrain, fairly fuel efficent

Stronghold: Liberty High School - Built during the age of air raids, the fucker is like a forteress. 4 layer windows that no zombie could penetrate and solid rock exterior. Rails on most first floor windows. Guns are already in the basement, simply colapse all staircases except the secret 2nd floor to basement staircase

Inventory: Mess kit, First Aid, Vodka, Car Battery, Ipod + charger + headphones, Linux (laptop - because the internet will still work for rescue), gas. Other stuff too

Dress: BIOS bandana, cargo pants and vest, comfy hiking boots.

I added battle call / motto because no good zombie kill goes without one.

I didn't actually draw this for spirit day, but once i'd finished it I thought i'd put it up anyway.

This is my character Koto from my story Opting In, he's a boy who became an angel of suicide after killing himself.
The main plot of Opting In is the story of Koto falling in love with one of the people he's meant to be helping pass on, a boy called Caspian.
Opting In is what I choose to term a happy story set in unhappy circumstances, and I think the world is a little like that sometimes.
So undeliberately (and that's including the delightfully appropriate hair colour) here is my angel, because what that story is about, is how the love is the only thing that matters, that ties us together, and defines us all as human beings.

Yes, all of those who are familiar with my Christmas calendar might remember this. It fetured as surprise 19.

Anyhow, I have decided to publish the best parts of the calendar as seperate deviations because, well, I think they do deserve a place in my gallery more than just a piece of a flash. Also I want to hear what you have to say about them. I think I'll call them my "Calendar favorites."

Really now, I made this one late during the night while I also had to finnish the Gollum singalong and it was made in record time. I think it took something over an hour which was really surprising. There are some points in this that I reckon I've managed better than in my earlier creations. Mainly the eyes and the hands ended up well and I think that I managed to capture my features better in this one. It's also the first one in which I've featured text. Don't know if I should keep it, though.
