Doctor Who Ultimate Shape Pack

I've had these sitting on my computer for along time now, debating whether or not to share them with the world. I've decided that hoarding these custom shapes would just cause someone else to spend as much time on them as I have, and I wouldn't wish that on ANYONE.

Most, if not all of these logos and symbols are ©BBC, and I don't pretend to have invented them. But I made every single one from scratch. SCRATCH. (and going slightly mad because of it)
If you appreciate that much obsessive and possibly pointless hard work, please fave or comment.

I don't have much time on my hands either. So if you think I should make a silhouette of your favorite skyline, I have no doubt it could be great - I just don't have the time to do it for you. But I'm sure you could do it yourself! It's fairly easy: Find an image of the skyline, and start tracing with the pen tool in Photoshop!

AND FINALLY:
A short note about the twin towers. I didn't put them there to disrespect. Rather, I kept them in honor of NY, in honor of those who died there - and to honor my own memory of this best city in the world. Driving into Manhattan (in 1998) and seeing those towers is such a strong and important memory to me, so I wanted to keep them in the shape. If you find it offensive, I apologize. They should be easy to edit out of the shape.

Side note: feeling kinda nostalgic for the Sons of the Aether tradition of Mage: the Ascension. This shape is kinda inspired by their aesthetics.

Something a little different for you today. Photoshop Custom Shapes, a full alphabet of capital letters based on classic ornate reference [original reference from E. A. Lupfer]. They have then been twisted and agitated for a harsher look, fitting for upcoming Halloween and for the devious leanings of D.A..

Legibility of the reference was a bit of an issue I tried to correct in places, so that a letter looked like a "Q" instead of a bunch of swirls. In some cases [G, C, Z, R] legibility is still not ideal. Even if you don't want to use them as letters, you may find hacking them apart and using them as decorative swirls is useful. In vector like this you have a lot of options, free rotation and resize, I expect to see some creative use from all of you.

I'm assuming you all know how to use custom shapes, or are able to read your photoshop manuals and find tutorials, so I'm not going to spend time explaining installation etc. Enjoy.

Update: Updated with an SVG version of the shapes.

I've noticed heraldry becoming more popular in design lately (on clothes, websites, etc, usually in a grungy, old looking way) and i decided to look into it a bit more. It's quite interesting and when you look around, you start to see it everywhere.

Anyway, i think this is worth downloading just to have the Royal Coat of Arms as a vector

I made this fully from the shapes I made in Illustrator CS2 but converted to shapes in Adobe Photoshop. There's a lot better shapes in the pack but I couldn't incorporate much with this piece.

.Zip file also contains 2 wallpapers and a mini-tutorial on how to load shapes for first-timers.

If use, please comment and/or favorite please, I want to see what you guys produce with these.

I was recently working on updating an old [DD winning] image of mine and I decided to share one of the central elements with you all. These are stylized flower petals from poppies, one of my favorite flowers, I used them to suggest the symbolism of that flower in a way I found interesting. There are 16 shapes in all, though some of these have two or three petals in a grouping.

The process of making these involved photographing poppies, then using them as clear reference for digitally painted versions which retained some of the perspective and visual 'correctness' of the photos yet with a stylized quality. The paintings were then drawn again as vector shapes, about a week long process to do it all so I thought they should be shared.

In photoshop these custom vector shapes are very much like Brushes but unlike brushes shapes can be rotated, resized, and distorted without any loss of clarity. In this case it is a must so that subtle rotations can be used to match the different petals into full flower shapes... In addition to the PS shapes file there is also an Adobe Illustrator formatted file of the petals in this download, this file has a 'backing' shape paired to every set of petals which can be helpful in creating a less abstract presentation. This file might be of interest to more advanced vector users... These should work with PS CS1 and above, the .ai file is AI 10.

I've used these not only as flowers but in some other work as masking elements when I was to lazy paint new masks but wanted the abstract flare of the sharp painterly look these have. So I think there are a lot of options for the creative user', hope you get some good use out of them too! Enjoy.

Sacred Geometry Custom Shapes

I love using sacred geometry in my art, but it's a pain in the butt to make from scratch. So i decided to throw together a few custom shapes to make it easier. I've included some of the major complex designs, such as the Flower of Life & Metatron's Cube, as well as some basic polygon shapes to be played with & manipulated as you will to make new shapes

If you like them i'd appreciate a comment, but the world will go on spinning either way. Free for commercial & personal use. Knock yourselves out

Batman Vector Shapes

I've been trying to motivate myself to start a Batman project that I think is a bit beyond my skills. So I did these to get the process started, lol.

I've been interested in tags lately. I've always thought they were ugly, really, but after taking photo with tags in them, i've noticed some that are actually quite artistic. Some tags are like modern, urban calligraphy.

And since i had quite a few photos of tags, i thought i'd turn them into Custom Shapes

To use: (if you don't already know)

Download the .csh file and save it anywhere. Go into Photoshop, go to your custom shapes, click the small arrow on the menu, and go to "Add." From there, find the file and append.
