Brush pack contains:
8 border and corner brushes (all of these will be shown in the preview) + the preview picture as a brush so you can remember where you got them

click download to get these brushes!
When you download the pack, just open up photoshop, and go to the drop-down bar where you see all your brushes. There should be a small arrow in the top right hand corner. Click that, and chose load brushes - then look through your files and double click on the file with the same name as the title of this deviation, and then they will be at the bottom of your list of brushes on the dropdown bar! If you have any problems, please feel free to ask me and I will do my best ^_^

if you cant use them in your version of photoshop, then you can make them into brushes yourself.

small tutorial of exactly how to use photoshop brushes:

1) first of all press the download button, where is
2) save the brushes when the options box comes up - and remeber where you saved them!
3) open up your phtoshop, and click the brush tool so that you can draw and whatever.
4) then, (at the top of the page in photoshop, near file and edit) where it says brush: then there is a black circle, an a number under it, and a tiny arrow on the left - you need to click the tiny arrow. the list of brushes will appear; and, at the top right hand corner, there is another tiny arrow pointing to the right.
5) click the tiny arrow, and lots of options will come up.
6) the options are separated into different sections. go down five sections, and you need to click "load brushes"
7)then a thing where all your files are comes up, and you need to find the brushes you saved - they will be in a single file altogether, so all you need to do is look for either the title of the brushes (for these, it will be good wing and broken wing by dark-dragon-stock) or the picture similar to the photoshop program thumbnail, with the title underneath it.
8)click the file to open it, and, tada! the brushes from the file will be at the end of your list of brushes on photoshop.

9)to use a brush, its easy - just click the brush you want to use like normal, and then just click on the page - or at least a new file/picture your doing, and the brush shape will appear as a drawing kind of thing
its best if you use the mouse, to keep it neat and it wont move so much as using a tablet or something unless its a brush that does different stuff.....then you can just mess around and see what you can do ^_^

Heres a special treat for those more gruesome and dark artists among you. 27 fully 3D blood brushes digitally edited. All background interference has been removed allowing crazy levels of curves to be used to achieve that realistic feel.

Compatible with PS 7 and upwards

Crediting is not required (though its always nice to see what u made with them and it will earn you a comment at least) and the brushes may be used outside of DA. I only ask that if you download them please add a (favourite), it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

After so many people requested it, I finally found the time to go through my gigantic pile of brushes and clean them from duplicates and presets I've never really used. The set is built on brushes found all over the internet. You may or not find in it brushes made by ~DanHowardArt, `DanLuVisiArt, *CoyoteMange, *algenpfleger and many many more. I picked and chose what I liked from them and that's how this big-ass set came to life.

The set contains 174 brushes that I use on an everyday basis. For your convenience it's divided into 9 categories:

Basic - brushes I use the most. Most of my paintings are made using those particular brushes and often I use only those alone. Brushes from the following categories are just an addition and are used depending on the subject and stylization I work in.
Clouds - a few dynamic brushes to paint skies, mist and smoke.
Rock - perfect for rocks, ground and other rough surfaces.
Water - splashes and brushes with wet edges - best if used with light paint on dark surfaces.
Hair & Feathers - Well, ain't I a douchebag. I completely forgot to check the release document for most of the fur and feather brushes and now had to remove them from the set. Plants - a very big set of dynamic brushes for painting foliage. Most of them are hand-painted giving pictures a very nice and unified look.
Details - all sorts of little things that add to the final image - seams, light effects, laces and trinkets.
Textures - yummy grunge and garbage that will make those flat surfaces look interesting. Scratches, wrinkles, rust, pores, stains - all you'll ever need.
Smudge - special brushes for blending. They give very interesting blur and displacement effects.

Why lazy? Because there are plenty of brushes that make your life easier.

The set works best with Photoshop CS5 and CS6. It should work with versions from 2 to 4 too but some of the brushes might not give the same effects.

Tip: Try various colors for these brushes. Water is a tricky element with lots of lights and darks. Some brushes were made to be white/light on a darker background and others were made to be dark on a white/light background.

Abstract lighting brushes PS7+

This is a remake of my other abstract lighting brushset so that it is photoshop 7 compatible (as opposed to only CS2). These brushes can be used in photoshop 7 and any later versions, CS and CS2. Like last time, there is no real replacement for just time put into airbrushing, but these brushes can make some cool effects and speed up the process a lot. Included are 14 brushes for focal points, dust and spot effects, and just wavey light things. I used many of these brushes on my Elora deviation [link] if you want a better example of their use.

These look good on just a normal brush mode with light colors, but a good trick for brushing over things is to, on a new layer, brush in a medium-dark grey color, and then set the blending mode of the layer to color dodge. You may then want to duplicate the layer a few times to get the desired brightness. Sometimes this can be a very effective way to create lighting.

If you download and find these brushes to be good/useful, a would be very much appreciated. First, it lets me know that these were useful to someone, but more importantly, it can help spread them to others who may want/need them.

For those of you who dont know how to install brushes

1.You download a brush set and save to any folder you'd like the zip file to be in.
2.You unzip the zip file. I like using winzip.
3.Open the Adobe Photoshop file in your Program files(or where you've installed Photoshop 7), go into Presets and then Brushes. Cut and paste the brush (.abr) file into that folder or the Adobe Photoshop Only folder, it doesn't make any difference though.
4.Open Photoshop itself, go to the brushes tab(in my version it's at the top right), click on the little arrow pointing to the right and then choose 'Load brushes' from the list. This opens a window in which you can choose the brush file so it loads into Photoshop. Click OK and you're done

Debris Brush Set

The preview does NOT do the brushes justice. There are about 45 brushes in all. (half for dark backgrounds, half for light backgrounds)

Note on How to use the brush set:

Installation

1.) Download and save somewhere on your machine
2.) Open Adobe Photoshop, activate the brush tool, open the brush preset picker, load the brush set.

Properties & Usage

3.) Change the brush mode to "Screen" and use on a separate layer that is also set to "Screen" mode and placed on top of all layers.
4.) Make sure that the background is dark enough to see the effect of the brush.
5.) Choose the color you wish to use as your foreground color

More goodies for my lovely watchers, consider this one a holiday present! @ u @
I made these brushes while enjoying a pot of coffee a while ago (which later killed my insides) and decided to turn them into brushes! And shame on me for just getting around to posting them. These were all created using coffee straight from the pot (watered down here and there) and salt to get some textures and variety of darkness as well as design. These were created in Photoshop CS2 and should be compatible from CS2 and onward~

Rules - If you use them, please give me credit and a link back to either this deviation or my page would be greatly appreciated! You can use these for anything you want, including commercial work. The only thing I don't allow is selling the brushes exactly as they are, so that means don't stamp them on a plain white bg and try to make cash off them.

Smoke Brushes

How very unoriginal... but i really wanted to have a smoke brush set of my own ( cause im always using other people smoke brushes) and since i already made it, i though id share it

this is for photoshop i understand that Gimp can open PS brushes... but dont ask me to upload it for other programs like Sai.. since i dont how to do that

as you can see in the preview image smoke brushes are kinda cool for making fire

also if you wanna make your own (youll need some photoshop knowledge) just light an incense and take pictures of the smoke, it works better if the backgrownd is dark! go to photohop clean the image with levels and get the dark real dark and lights and medium tones as you wish, then invert the image and select the smoke then define brush value (in edit) and you are done. if you dont understand this go to any "how to make photoshop brushes" tutorial here on dA, itll explain the last part, but plese dont ask me in comments since i wont reply those, im too lazy to explain comment by comment.

Bloody Tears - PS7 Brushes

^{Got the idea from someone who commented one of my Hope pictures which had halloween blood running from my eyes, they said it looked "Real" so I didn't know if they meant that I was really crying blood or if I edited the image and maybe they thought I added the blood later but anyways here's the bloody tears brush set. A few of the brushes have eye shaped tops, the rest can be edited or something.

This set also has some "Junk" which is gunky dark stuff which is just good for texture, not so much bloody eye.}
If you don't need it for bloody tears you can use it as drips since that's basically what they are. Enjoy!

HOWEVER - I do not want them repackaged and sold on somewhere else. That's not fair. Also don't just plonk one down on a background and sell them on, again, that's not fair considering the work I've put into them.
When I say commercial use, I mean you can add them to a piece of art, website, leaflet, poster etc. or they can be added to cards, atcs, aceos, collages, scrapbooking etc. but NOT to be sold on as an element by themselves.

Blood Brush

100% Real human blood~!

My nose started to bleed and before I grabbed something to contain it, I stuck my head over a blank piece of paper and let the blood drip onto it real quick. After it had dried somewhat well, I scanned it to make a very nice blood brush. I actually use it more than I should but it's so much more realistic to use the imagepack, which is the direct scan of the blood verses the brushes as it keeps that dark color transition better.

Zip contains large and small brushes, for large projects such as layouts and banners and small projects such as icons; Also imagepack included -- I suggest you blend the imagepack onto your graphic than useing the brush for better realistic color transitioning.

Cheers! To all my watchers, to the people who think my brushes are anywhere in the realm of decent, to anyone who stumbles across them or is peering in my window right now as I type.

Thank you to everyone for all your support. I know it's not much, but I wanted to try to do something... and I thought this might be at least a little something to tide you over til I'm done with this damned walk-through that seemed to be a pretty popular demand.

So, on that note, my previously exclusive enhancement brushes are now free. I use them on 99% of my images.. I love them. ^^
