Golden Alien Floral

Wanted to offer this as a PNG file for the transparency, but the preview as I saw it got butchered. So I converted it to PSD with a JPEG preview equal in pixel dimensions. Only difference is that the JPEG comes with a solid white background, whereas the PSD background is transparent.

The shape was originally constructed in a rather simplistic application called Symmetries then exported to Illustrator.

As of late, I've taken a liking to the blend tool in Illustrator to reveal rather interesting gradient transitions, but more often than not, this blend tool does not behave like I want it to.

For this graphic in particular, I wanted the fill to blend "inwards". To my knowledge, impossible with the blend tool or any gimmicky filter like inner glow. Instead, I stacked 100 inner strokes in grayscale mode increasing the "black" value by 1% for every stroke, and finally plugged in some RGB colour values before exporting to PS.

For a change of pace, I decided to revisit an old deviation of mine ([link]) and expand upon it to offer you a pack of gold ornaments in PSD format.

The ZIP file contains 1 master PSD file with all the ornaments as shown on the image preview + 1 subfolder with 9 separate PSD files in case you might prefer working with them individually.

Each ornament comes at a resolution of around 800-900 px in the master PSD file, and a little closer to 1000 px for the individual PSD files. All of them are layered so you can easily remove them from their white backgrounds and paste into your own canvas.
