mywahh.. I mean, I love painter IX and everything.. but... I still suck at it!! xDD So many brushes and settings.. Too complicated for my simple little brain @___@;;; ..or maybe I just suck.. *swt*

Kinda sat at the computer today thinking.. "wah, I haven't drawn holiday art in FOREVER.." so I fiddled around in painter trying to whip together a painter'd drawing.. which I kinda failed at.. xDD AHHH I worship corel painter artists. I can't figure out how they make such wonderful art @__@; Those textures.. *shot'd* And the layers.. oh.. how my blood pressure must have rose today.. xD

Today was my last chance to draw art since I'll be out of town the next two days.. So, here we are. I do honestly wish I could have presented myself with worthy holiday art but.. T__T Painter defeated me in today's battle.. *kinda quit way before I planned to*

And, as you can see, his Present (in all meanings) is Olvido His Joy and Happiness.
^{btw, the scarf is not Valdemar's xD it's hers... too red and dotted to be his.}

I thought the past, present... stuff would be a good way to relate Xmas and Valdemar.
And there WON'T be a third part with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come... 'cos future is something no one knows...

Merry belated Christmas, and a happy New Year to =loveno! Your OC was very fun to draw, and she's pretty too... though I'm sorry she doesn't look like a Vocaloid here, I got carried away with the Christmas spirit (fancy dresses and such). I hope you like it ;_; I wasn't sure what colour her eyes were since they were not the same in the reference pictures (I just went with the colour that best suited the rest of the picture OTL).

As I promised... the first set of adoptables for Christmas I was originally going to do a set of 9, but my brain just gave up... so I thought a group of 6 would suffice for now

So... to adopt one of these fine beasts, what do you need to do hmm?

Well... please read below, and most of all- have fun I don't go on drawing ability, I love to see imagination with characters

- If you are going to rp the character... I would love to know where
- Not first come first served adoptables

- Assign your own genders ^^
- I will be very picky over the owners of the pegasus and the brindle paint as I found it very hard to give those two up... ahem lol
- All designs belong to me... however, I only require recognition for the design in the first image you produce post adoption From then on... izz yours I guess ^^
- You may apply for one design in each batch only... to make it fair ^^

Inspiration: Tim Burton's A nightmare Before Christmas

I've always wanted to work in a piece inspired by one of Tim Burton's movies, one of my favourite directors of all time. But I still wanted it too look mine, and not just a idea stolen from one of his works. I used this scene [link] from "A nightmare before Christmas" as inspiration, so as the Halloween Town's details [link] , that's were the swirly things come from.

The title also comes from one of the movie's songs; the theme song of Sally, the most important female character portrayed on the film. Her constant feeling of loneliness also inspired my work on this piece.

The spiral part was drawn and cutted from a mountain texture found at sxc.hu. The cat comes from morguefile, the girl is , the other texture from , brushes from , and the thorn ones are mine.

Something quick for Christmas this year. Mostly a lot of experimentation (namely the borders and the textured "flat color" look to liken them to Christmas cards, haha).

Soooo here we have Cobalt, who will likely spend this Christmas as a happy drunk Hunter thanks to Hy; Gibby and Vicki, either leaning in for or pulling away from the weirdest fucking kiss thats ever happened; and last but not least a happy Bentley receiving a scarf from Kelsey, because he desperately needs one.

There are a plethora of anatomy issues here but I'm just gonna choose to not give a damn right now. (Also I like what the texture did to the borders so I kept it, lol.)

CHRISTMAS PICTURE, YAY!!

I've recently been christmas-ifiying my page and i wanted a christmas themed picture on my page [= And I stumbled across this lineart then i stumbled arcoss another by the same artist so i decided to add it in to make a bigger picture XD

The idea is it's meant to look like they're in a studio getting a photo taken by a photographer [=

It was a pain trying to figure out who goes where x.x the only one that was decided was Dark. Then the others kindof fell into place afterwards. Although I still had a space free on the left. See, I only wanted people in the picture that me and Travis (~DaRkWoLf330) both know, as there's no way i could pick out of the amount of friends i have DX haha XD

This is also kindof a shading experiment again, using cell and soft shading. Also i spent the longest time evem before colouring or shading neatening up the linearts as they were jpg and all dotty around the edges DX and in some places it was clearly visible when zoomed out so i had to correct and eras it.

Doing this has also inspired me to make my own refill bases that people pay me to colour :3 it's fun colouring characters XD SO when i have time Im going to make a load of bases for you guys to pay me to recolour

Put it on the slip (oh lol) of a Yoshi plushie that I gifted a friend. As some kind of personal touch ... yea .. she likes anime so I tried to draw myself as chibi ... |D

This is the final product of my WIP stage (the original is posted here -[link] ) In case you want to see the actual drawing and the progress of texture being added to the body. I wanted to try something that was not with colors but with the usage of textures. Ffor the end result you can tell the success in each dedicated detail produce for this masterpiece.

Artistic Theme

I wanted to give something very personable to my friends for the holiday because not everyone wishes to recieve a card via snail mail. Thus, like everyone I know who is close to me here on DA they've already designed there card so here is mine in the long run of the season. Merry Christmas to all my DA friends; and DA Family. I love you dearly!

erm, i made a christmas wallpaper for my work, and i thought some one else might possibly be interested in it.

i used Glitter Glow Texture X by hauntingmewithstock while making this wallpaper.

It's her original character Akuma. OR WAIT. IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE HIM AT ALL. Why? HE HAS CLOTHES. And poor 'Kuma looks like he's been drinking too much. xD That wasn't my intention, but it's fun like this so I don't mind.

And I didn't take a photo of a real couch or anything, I drew it and shaded it. I just used a texture. Because the rest of the drawing isn't Christmasy at all, except for the mistletoe in his crotch. ... NOW YOU HAVE TO KISS THE-- Oh, right, not in front of the kids. Thanks, Timon.

In the end I rushed a lot with this, again, because tomorrow I will have SHITLOAD of work to do for the ToA contest prizes. Wish me luck!

Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Another digital scrapbooking layout. Individual woodcut and texture images inclosed in the zip, as well as the original xcf file for Gimp users.
Please note you will require an image editor that can deal with multiple layers i.e. Gimp, Photoshop, etc.
As the xcf file is included everything will be easier for Gimp users, simply open the xcf file, add some new layers and put the photos underneath the layers containing the woodcut frames. You can also add extra bits and pieces between the layers, enhance shadows, effects, etc.
Everyone else, open the png file and add at least one layer below for your photos.

I made it in time... *dies*
This is for the sp-artists group contest
and part of ~solmie96 prize commission

Well the contest is over now and even though I didn't win I'm kind of glad I made this. When I look back at it I see so many flaws, more than before, but that just means I've improved a bit~ ^0^ <3

This piece has helped me improve my drawing, and the loooong time I spent on it has really taught me a lot! (...like never stay up all night for many nights to finish art especially if it's just for a contest... ^w^;; )
OH! also I don't like how this came out so... surprise~ Solomie's getting a different picture, ^0^ and I'll work extra hard to make it much better! *^*

I'm going to go rant/complain now...

The theme was originally going to be an "epic gory comic" theme hence the panels, but I failed at that and tried to make it into a more eerie oriental theme....but I failed again...so now the theme is "epic failure"

I asked ~TheLostTVRemote for criticism... it helped a lot ;w; <3 But I couldn't fix Kenny's perspective... Doing that would require me re-drawing and re-colouring Kenny, and I don't have enough time OTL

I also wanted to re-draw Stan and put Pip in the picture...but yeah... I'm such a procrastinator *foams in mouth*

I rushed on the skulls, so I didn't use a reference and just drew them from memory... probably why they look so demented... ;^;

I guess I'm happy that I did draw this...I learned a lot from drawing this...but I'm not happy with the final result and the huge amount of time I put into this (I said "aw screw it" lost count after like 30 hours...) "OTZ

Well anyways... criticism is always welcome ;w; <3}

I've been indulging in christmas-themed, feel-good movies during the holidays, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe being one of them. So i started a painting afterwards; this sketch is a part of it. I added some texture until the coloured version comes.

These are D|S mats (poser mats coming... as soon as I'll be able to create them ).

This is a picture I did for my lovely ~chutkat over christmas break when she came to stay with me. It is very hard to draw with people STARING AT YOU LIKE A MANIKIN... staring... Done watching law and order over a period of 5 days (there was alot of law and order). She tried to wake me up at 5 am D:

It was actually 10.

Sorry it's a bit blurry, I don't really know how to edit things like this so what you scan is what you get with me ;_; She was kind enough to scan it for me at school (in two parts since it was too big for the scanner).

Done on 30"x40" illustration board, copic markers, acrylics, pencil crayons and ink.

I'll do a tut for the rock texture when I have the time. It is copic and acrylic.

Does this need mature warning? I put yes just in case. Do they still do that thing where you don't even get the option of seeing it if you're under 18? If you can't see it and you're wondering if you should or shouldn't see it, it's just marked that way because the girl doesn't have a shirt and I didn't sensor it.

(not that you can't just log out if you want to see it)
