Ciameth's Raptor Foot Ref

This massive raptor foot reference took forever to put together, but it's done now! Featuring accipitriformes, falconiformes and strigiformes, the first part is text and illustration; the second part is a compilation of my own photographs for you to use as reference. Check out the "reference" folder in my gallery for more raptor stuff.

Here it is at long last! It is the Bird ID project piece that I did for Ornithology class. It seriously took 70+ hours stretched over five weeks to do. I hope you can find it useful for identifying the hawks, falcons and owls of Minnesota, USA!

The prelim colors I just threw onto the image in the last two hours. I think I need to actually sit down and work out the spotting on it so it's less messy and better looking than it is now. I'm generally pleased with the wing and I'm satisfied with the dragon part of it, but the body is leaving something to be desired.

The owl this is based off of is the Northern Saw-whet, but with richer colors and warmer "white" tones.

Personality: Borderline snobbish, (ha) Marius was brought up as the only-child in an upper middle-class family. His mother is a lawyer and his father an assistant to a government official, they always edged his son towards being a proper, well-to-do gentleman. He tends to give off a bad first impression, but in reality he is an insecure and amiable person on the inside. Deep deep deep inside.

History: Due to his family's wishes, Marius was the type of boy to save every penny he earned, and was given anything he wanted on a silver platter. Though, he was not a greedy person and would almost never ask for anything, he was simply given what his parents deemed fit. The Rembrandts wanted to be viewed as high-class citizens, even if they didn't exactly earn as much money as it seemed.
The night he discovered his magic abilities was when he was making a diorama for school, and he spilt a bottle of ink on the floor. The pool was trickling towards his brand new shoes and as he was wishing they wouldn't get touched in his mind, the pool stopped as if there was a barrier around the spotless sneakers. Various events similar to that happened over the few days prior to his eleventh birthday, and on that fateful day he received his letter.
His parents believe that his magic will earn them a higher status, and happily sent him away to Hogwarts.

I was ready to upload the sketch on the 28th, but I didn't get a chance to until today. Things got busy and spiraling downhill lately. :C

A design trade with *Vintage-Nigiri. This is only the sketch. I have the prelim done, but I think I seriously need to drop my attempt at making the creature look similar to a saw-whet owl. UGH. I'll try to finish this soon, but stuff just keeps coming up and it's always stuff that sucks too. Oh life.

Just some drawings that I did for Science in 7th grade last year. As you can see, they're referenced. It was for a science project where we had to show the food chains and the interactions between species (animals and plants in the British Columbia area). We were assigned a specific region (one that I can't recall right now).

That salmon berry plant on the left is dead.

I forget where I found the pictures. But I found them on Google. I don't own the original photographs.

I wanted to make a Harry Potter OC, so this is what I've come up with. She doesn't have a name yet but here are some other things that I've decided on (with the help of Robin! <3333333):

Her wand is is 13 1/2 inches, willow wood with a minotaur tail hair core.

So yeah. I've been having fun colouring little sketches.

I have a nice one of Kiana that I'm trying to make better than these little colourings but I like these better so far >,<

I tried to mimick teen titians style with a pencil. I don't like pencil, but some people can make it look really cool. So yeah, they're my fav couple in TT, jinx (love how she turned out!) and kid flash ^^

Kiana's having an argument with her owl. I have decided he is a saw-whet owl, and is kinda like her familiar/conscience whenever she feels the need to summon him, he appears. (well transforms from her stuff owl toy into a real owl)

Two OC I've never shown before. Blue girl is in the works as a psychopath with ability to manipulate blood; the other is just a random OC i've had for a while, mainly made for her hair. ITS AWESOME ^^

last sketch is some capoeira. I just finished an intro class and needed to do something to commemorate it.

Spent a weekend with my university's Fish and Wildlife Club at White Fish Point off Lake Superior and we did some owl banding late at night.

I got to hold a saw-whet owl! They are sssooo soft!

This is Miranda. A talking saw-whet owl that is the familiar to a new Witch character of mine. Saw-whets are about 8 inches tall and adorable and they are named such because one of their calls sounds like a saw being filed. I loves them, they're so cute. Anyway, here's Miranda. Hogwarts Newest Transfer

This is a preview to a fanfiction I hope to be able to write soon.

Note: I haven't decided what her name will be quite yet

She is based on me. Her name is (character's name) and she's 16 years old. She's a transfer student from America, coming from The Avalon Academy for Witches and Wizards because her dad had to move the family for work purposes. Three days before she would leave home and school would start, she went to Diagon Alley to do some shopping. There she found the spell books she would need, and a new friend, a Northern Saw-whet Owl. He was tiny, too small to be a carrier owl like the rest, and so no one wanted him... Well, almost no one. She bought him, and later named him Baltimore. The day she left for Hogwarts, her mom saw her off at the train station after a certain red-headed woman was kind enough to show her how to pass through to wall to get to platform 9 and 3 quarters. Realizing everywhere else on the train was full, she sat in a car with two red-headed boys she would later learn were Fred and George Weasley. The two were very friendly and told her all about the school and even offered to help her around if she ever needed it. She bid them farewell as they had other people they wanted to catch up with and said they'd see her later. Later on in the Great Hall, she was sorted into Hufflepuff house and sat next to a very peculiar white-haired maiden named Luna Lovegood. She was weird, (character's name) decided, but she liked her anyway. lol.

Well, i don't feel like writing anymore, so...later. lol
