Well, I went to Barnes' & Noble's , and it was super. Read some real nice books. Looked at pretty pictures.

WALL OF TEXT -

I came up with a snake guy, while fooling around with some sort of mystic transformation for the priest (Raidyn)(don't worry, you don't know him). Well, so this guy is named Klàdryggoh, which means something like Serpent King or maybe Holy Serpent in old Garran, possibly ancient Bemetien. ANYWAY, he's ALL FULL OF PROBLEMS. IN THE BEST WAY.

I'm thinking what with him being "holy" and all, he's treated the best... like he prolly takes ALL SORTS of meds and gets daily checkups and is just treated like a god. Awesome, neh?

Klàdryggoh = KLAD (a as in cat) dri (i as in mist) gyo (o as in so)

I see him hiding out underneath the main Bemetien faith's temple (they, uh, really dig snakes), and he's waited on by all these priests and harem girls.

I think he's some horrid genetic experiment between some top priests and top scientists, part garran... and part snake. Obviously, he's a freaking freak of nature and not perfect in the least. He's really quite scary to look at, but I really find this whole... blinded-by-fanatical-faith-in-The-Holy-Serpent thing kinda smexy. I'm weird, stfu.

- Klàdryggoh's nearly blind in one eye (the left) and has poor day vision in the other (but excellent dim vision, so the place is all candlelit). He's very sensitive to light. Oh... his right eye is like a snake's, kinda... very small pupil and large iris, anyway. The right is more like a garran's (but still hideously deformed) with a gigantic pupil and iris.
- He has thin, ...I hesitate to say long ears; has semi-okay hearing, not so good, though. His right ear is sortof pinned in the muscle, so he can barely move it.
He has an emaciated frame, though he eats like a pig with all those worshippers (NO NO, HE EATS LIVE ANIMALS, SILLIES. He has a compulsion to eat live animals), and he has very brittle bones.
- His toes and a few fingers are all gnarled and fused together, and very long with ridiculously long claws, irretractable, of course. His fangs are retractable or at least able to be folded back. His jaw is "dislocatable", mostly on the right side. He has a very loooong, thiiiin tail, with hardly any fur on the tip. Lol non-sequitur.
- His teeth are crowded in his mouth, but then again, some are missing - falling out.
- He has a snake's tongue and teeth, as you can see, but has a garran throat and vocal chords. (his throat skin is all jowly, too, lol) This produces some really... really unnerving sounds, let me tell you. Either he has one SERIOUS speech impediment, or the priests have devised an entirely new language for him to communicate in.

Um... let's see...

He's sort of a dusty tan with bright red hair sparsely smattered on his body, mostly the left side. (I didn't draw that, btw). Scales cover his body pretty well, and they're semi-glossy. Oddly enough - where his nipples would be, there's no scales... but also no nipple. s.

Uh... very, very freaky looking. If you read this far, you should put something like... Rick Astley is not a snake! in your desc. Love y'all!

Klir-Dastir is just being a smexy debil, his old varke self. The robe design is for Raidyn, the head priest of the Church of the Serpent's Grace is what I think I called it... yeah... Grego was part of a bigger scene/picture. He was telling Djeid that Djeid wasn't allowed to go see his dude friends that night, because if I'm possesive and jealous, I figure Grego should be, too. D;

A couple of screenshots of a new character I made in City of Heroes. He's supposed to be a tribute to Van Helsing, with his look loosely based on Hugh Jackman's from his version of him. Hence the hat and long trenchcoat. I've given him an enchanted sword, so he can stop the forces of evil, whether they be monster or criminal. I've called him Han Varkness, which is supposed to be a combination of Van Helsing (even though VanHelsing was his surname) and a slight change of surname, based on Captain Jack Harkness from Dr Who/Torchwood. As a final tribute to VanHelsing, Han is also the latest in a line of monster hunters, helping to keep the world save.

:] I finally got this up, it's a quick ref sheet I did then put in Paint (since the computer I'm using doesn't have PSP) and took out my hand written stuff and put in nice computer type. Sorry if it's hard to read. =/ And if the drawings are sort of discolored. It didn't take long, and I'll probably fix it up in PSP later tonight or during the week.

You might've noticed that I changed some things about her, like the tattoo(s) which weren't there before. The color of her tongue, the scarf, the pawpads, and the eye color. I have a feeling she'll be changing little by little until I absolutly adore her. ^^ I already love her, but I want to LOVE her. She's also more feminine in this one, which is the way she'll stay.

I'm so mean to her. :[ I was feeling rather crappy before, as you saw in my journal entry. I drew out a picture of her sort of bowing, with the scrapes and cuts, and crying. And I didn't feel like taking the time to scan, lineart, and color it so I just drew a close up of her head on PSP with the mouse. =/ The outcome is okay.

Someday I'll have an entire back story for FurVark here. But, at one time in her life she was captured by either some sort of rare animal trainer (She's one of a kind, baby!) and she wasn't obeying the trainer, being the rebel she is. And, well, he kicked her ass essentially. It's either that, or, preferably, she was living with a wolf pack (or invaded their territory) and for some odd reason beyond my knowledge she took on the alpha male and lost. This is her submitting to /whoever's/ will.

It sort of represents the problems I'm going through, I'm being crushed under the pressure of school, my art, my family, the walk, it's like I took on too much and now...ugh.

Anyway, I didn't really like this one enough to finish her markings (they're a pain in the ass!) so I just didn't put 'em.

I'm away all weekend plus three days so I'm unable to finish the comic page this week (let alone do an extra Friday update), so I'm putting this sketch version up for now. I'll explain why in a journal when I come back.

Well, with this you can see some of my comicking process. I ink panel lines first so that they won't be affected by any erasing I do while sketching. As you can see, I pencil comic pages pretty messily. Since I ink panel lines of many pages at a time, I write the page number and name above beforehand so I know what page the panels are for. The drawn date in the bottom left is added when I finish inking. Since I actually write the story in prose, I take my dialogue almost exactly from that. I scribble the beginnings of sentences and such in my thumbnails so I know what goes where, but the text mostly happens digitally.

I might fix some stuff up when I get back, because I prefer Xeari's expression in my thumbnail to this one. The other was more startled and comical. I like panel four, though. Here's hoping I don’t screw up the inking. ^^

Pretty sure this is the one I'm going to go with. I really like her.

This is just the lineart, I've still got to color her, which will add the spots (African Wild Dog) and her feather crest (scarlet ibis)

I'm so happy how she turned out. Her tail is a lemur tail, or at least based on one. Her main body is a wolf's, and her ears are those of a Lynx. I hate how her right front paw turned out. It's icky. The others are okay. I'm working on paws, I never was good at them.

I need suggestions for a name, I'm considering just callin' her Vark. But I don't know.

Oh, here's a bit on her pose: I'm offering her a treat to do that strange pose so people can properly see her markings. And she's licking her lips because it happens to be a strip of bacon. :]

08-12 Sketch Dump

ZOMG BIG FILE~

I haven't really done any finished art in a while... all I really have time for these days is sketches at school. I feel like I've done more sketches worth showing these days, so I've scanned them all and thrown them into a sketch dump. Made it narrow and long like a meme/tutorial for easier viewing.

You can tell how big each drawing is by how thick the lines are, lol~
In total there are 10 OCs and 5 random people. No fanart... I never draw fanart @_@

Here are my comments on each, left to right, up to down. In case you get lost on the way, short descriptions are in parentheses.
- Eric (leaning) returns! I need to develop his character more, so here he is. He likes to look like he's smoking with his peashooter.
- I like drawing Zilu (profile). He's standing a little awkwardly.
- We're reading the Crucible in English, so I drew a witch (without eyes). Really I just wanted to see the buckle.
- I rather like this one of Ethyn (with bow and arrow), and might want to turn it into a full piece.
- Zavyr (with goggles) was drawng a long time ago. I threw him in anyway.
- Water Dragon (swimming) was inspired by my D&D Dragons book. There's a Dragon in almost the same pose. I drew this from memory, although it's not exactly the same.
- Xeari (rawr) in the corner was just for fun. I'm trying to find a more detailed style in which to draw Dragons.
- Mura (Zethyl with arm and wing up) was for Zethyl practice. Very sketchy. Too many wings @_@
- I drew a Dragon (with curly horns) having just made a kill. It was supposed to be a Jerboa, but it's way too big xD
- I drew three stick-Dragon things of Xeari. She's being redesigned and I'm trying to figure out proportions.
- I had fun drawing Ilura (wolf Wevlynq in a skirt). Her wings don't have enough surface area to fly, but she can glide.
- Random Japanese girl (tripping) was done on lined paper, bleh.
- Tenro (angry mouse Zethyl) was more Zethyl practice. Still so much wing @_@. Tenro's usually a more subdued character. I don't know how to draw mouse feet.
- I did some weird Vark sketch (all twisty and turny), then tested out the size of his wings.
- Myra (with big fuzzy ears) was actually inked! With ball pen. Then I wrote on the other side of the lined paper with an ink pen. Bad idea... That's what all the little spots are.
- Velocity (pouncing with a stick) is an angry fairy. I really like the movement in this drawing.
