I was bored this evening and simply didn't know what to do... so, I started doodling and this came out XD Funny/cute ponies.
It is so relaxing to just let go of Rosendal for a evening and just draw because it is so fun to just draw and let the inspiration flow. Ryan-horses sure does set me into a funky mood. Love my ponies

'Gucci' dog graphite drawing

I've been meaning to draw the family dogs 'Bullet' & 'Gucci' in graphite for awhile, but had no good photos. After taking 200+ photos i could only use this one image of onne of the dogs 'gucci' as the rest were terrible (i'm terrible at taking phortos). And i will do a drawing of the other dog 'bullet' when i can get a good photo.

It has actually worked out well that i waited this long as my first attempt at drawing a dog and puppy was a big headache (looked ok though). But this time all the techniques i learnt from that drawing made this alot easier but still time consuming. And i think i now have a good technique for drawing dogs, but still need to practice the fur.

And I never understood why people loved dogs so much when i was younger, and used to find it very amusing when people would treat them better than family. But after being around these 2 for 3 years or so, i fully undertand now, as they've become an important part of the family.

Ce Tyrannosaurus est un jeune, âgé de 2 an environ, et comme tous les jeunes de son âge, il est très curieux et la moindre petite chose peut gagner son attention, en particulier si c'est un papillon qui se pose sur son museau. Oui, c'est vrai, un papillon ne se pose que très rarement sur un objet en mouvement et la curiosité est surtout un trait des jeunes Mammifères, on va dire que ce sont des licences artistiques!

This Tyrannosaurus is a young, of about 2 years old, and like all youngs its age, it's very curious and the slightest thing can earn its attention, especially if it's a butterfly who lands on its snout. Yes, it's true, a butterfly arises only very rarely on a moving object and curiosity is primarily a feature of the young Mammals, let's say that they are artistic licenses!

Pour ce Tyranosaurus adulte, ce pauvre petit Pachycephalosaurus n'est qu'un apéritif, je sais pas moi, un samoussa, un oréo... Si vous regardez bien, le T. rex a laissé une dent sur le corps du Pachycephalosaure. Pour a tête du T. rex, j'ai utilisé plusieurs crânes comme références, y compris le crâne du moulage de l'holotype... J'ai utilisé Gimp pour faire les différentes nuances sur les deux protagonistes, et je suis personellement très content de ce dessin.

For this adult Tyrannosaurus, this poor little Pachycephalosaurus is no more than an appetizer, I don't know, a samosa, an oreo... If you look more closely, you will see that the T. rex has lost a tooth on the body of the Pachycephalosaur. For the head of the T. rex, I used several heas as references, including the skull of the cast of the holotype... I used Gimp to do the different shades on the two protagonists and I personally really happy of this drawing.

Traditional art? Decided to practice with my coloured pencils, did the lines first then decided to choose the character afterwards which was a bad choice for the record. I did ~Nanabuns character Nana in wolf form! I don't have very much of a variety of coloured pencils, especially in brown so sorry for the lack of colour.

As sucky as this is, it was very fun to do and I would like more practice. For $4 I'll draw your character.

Velociraptor mongoliensis

Velociraptor mongolensis est un Dromaeosauridae Veociraptorinae qui a été découvert en Mongolie dans des terrains datant du Crétacé Supérieur (au Campanien, entre environ 75 et 70 millions d'années). Ce "Raptor" est connu par plusieurs fossiles dont certains sont très biens conservés, l'un de ces fossiles montre un Velociraptor aux prises avec un Protoceratops, un autre de ces fossiles montre des attaches de longues rémiges sur l'avant bras, ce qui montre qu'il avait des ailes ressemblant à celles des Oiseaux modernes. Il mesurait près de 1,8 mètre en moyenne et possède un museau étroit et très allongé (plus allongé que celui de Dromaeosaurus mais moins que celui de Buiteraptor) et une queue rigide mais très souple. D'autres espèces appartenant à ce genre ont étés découvertes mais une seule autre espèce a été nommée pour l'instant, Velociraptor osmolskae, plus jeune d'environ 1 million d'années et qui a été découvert sur d'autres sites (comme a la Formation de Bayan Mandahu, alors que les principaux restes de V. mongoliensis ont étés découverts a Djatokhta).
Le nom "Velociraptor" est très connu du grand public (popularisé par les romans, mais surtout par les films Jurassic Park), mais l'apparence qui lui est donnée est complètement merdique sur le plan scientifique (ben quoi?)
En effet, il est souvent représenté comme un Dinosaure avec une tête d'Allosaure pourvue de grosses lèvres et des yeux de Lézard, sans plumes, avec la queue courte et serpentine, des pattes avant en pronation, un corps de chien, plus intelligent et rapide que les vrai Velociraptors et chassant en groupe alors que ce comportement n'a jamais été prouvé.
Sur ce dessin, on peut voir que j'ai fait un croquis de ce Dinosaure vu de dessus et aussi le dessin d'une d'une patte arrière droite. J'ai du refaire les silhouettes et le nom sur Paint parce que je les éffacés quand j'ai modifié l'image sur Gimp, mais bon, ça fait plus propre.

Velociraptor mongolensis is a Veociraptorine Dromaeosaurid which was discovered in Mongolia in rocks from the Late Cretaceous (during the Campanian stage, between about 75 and 70 million years ago). Indeed, it is often represented as a Dinosaur with an Allosaurus-like head equipped with thick lips and Lizard-like eyes, without feathers, with short, serpentine tail, pronated hands, a dog's body, more intelligent and faster than real Velociraptors and chasing in group while this behavior has never been proven.
In this drawing you can see that I made a sketch of this dinosaur seen from above and also the drawing of a right hind leg. I had to redo the figures and name on Paint because I deleted them when I changed the image on Gimp, but hey, it's cleaner.

The Meeting: Collab

A collaboration between myself and for the contest at She drew the sketch and colored her own horse (brown) and I colored my own (black) and did the background. Due to time restraints the bg is more sketchy than I'd like, but it works. This was interesting trying to combine traditional pieces together in photoshop. I really need to do more collabs in the future because they are fun.
Also my scanner wasn't working so I had to take pictures that's why the quality seems off.
