Aaaaand the full picture. Unfortunately it's still wet (to the point where I can't touch it without leaving fingerprints) and doesn't fit in the scanner anyway. But, a high quality photo at least. This is the best I could do, the one with flash looks too light, so there's a shadow on the side where my hand was :/

I'm definitely much better at painting that digital drawing ||D

So this is artwork I'm sending to my counselor from Boys State a few days ago. It was amazing how quickly we bonded, like we knew each other from years prior. It was great.

And this is my thanks to him, because I cried when it was time to go, and he hugged me, and I left another gift of snot and tears on his shoulder. So yeah. I hope he'll like this one more His name was Phil and he wants to work at Philmont Scout Ranch, which is the pinnacle of Boy Scouts. Both of us had been there, and both of us were Eagle Scouts.

Anyways, the black mountains are the Tooth of Time at Philmont. Their most famous mountain range.

Phil “Philmont” Foster,
I could say something about heart, or soul, or something whimsical like that, but it would be a repeat. You have all that. You’re by far one of the best people I’ve ever met, and the most inspiring thing I saw at Boys’ State. I remember you saying that you’re looking for your niche though. Maybe I can return the inspirational favor.
College takes will, determination, and above all, a lot of hope. Be patient, and wait for your click. Everyone knows the days are coming that you’ll never forget. You’ll find what you want, and who you want. It’s coming; we all can see it.
But all things come with a price. With it will come this thing called “Trouble”. A kind of “bouncy bumpy ball” that one day fell out of a box apparently. But when it comes bouncing, “politely give it the finger,” and it’ll shove itself into its box again.
So best of luck, and keep chugging. Your niche is out there. If nothing else, you’ve got a home at Boys State and sounds like another out at Philmont. I’ll miss you next year, when I’m (hopefully) a counselor. It won’t be the same—but I’m not going to be sad about it. Because I learned from the best on how to make a difference in someone’s life and I’d like to share that goal of yours.

I did this acrylic painting to pay tribute to Philadelphia and it's delicious cheesesteaks, I wanted to do it in an impressionist style but with an updated flavor to attract a modern audience too. I love painting night scenes with neon lights against the dark of the night.

This is a late-night view of the back of a 504 King Street streetcar as it whizzes past Sherbourne Street in Toronto. It’s painted from a photo I took late last winter coming home from eating and drinking somewhere, no doubt. The streetcar was in motion and there was a lot of glare on the camera from the various streetlights and shop windows. I tried to capture that feeling of motion in the painting.

After 7 hours making it I finally finished The idea of the horseman was from the internet and it was painted on acrylic colors. The castle is my own original version for an old story I also left undone.

5th Grade Painting REPOST

So, I'm still working on the Festus, so I decided to upload this. 2 years ago, in 5th Grade Art Enrichment, our end-of-the-year project was to pick a painting and repaint it ourselves on these tiles, which would be hung up around the school. (They're still hanging there now) I chose a painting by Georges Seurat (DK the name of it) and used pointillism (stippling dots thing) to repaint it. It took a shitload of time and I got really frustrated. I did, however get some help from my crush (also in Art Enrichment) The actual painting is on the bottom, and me with my version is on the top. I personally think I look horrible. I painted the background and then used abnormally large Qtips to stipple.
