You may have seen pictures of this in progress over the past year, and now the work is finally finished. Begun at the the Illustration Master Class last June as a demonstration in portraiture and lighting, this is yet another of my ventures into the theme of Middle-earth. Gandalf reveals to Frodo that the quiet magic ring he holds is actually The One Ring which will bring shadow and suffering to all of Middle-earth unless it is destroyed.

From the depths of Mordor (represented by the fire place) to the green pastures of the Shire (with Sam's head glimpsed through the window) there is nowhere to hide from the power of the Ring...

I had a dream...
of a huge furry brown bear,
a non stop jumping white goat,
a fluffy pink rabbit,
a tiny gasby rat,
even a black spider
came to me
and asked me to teach them to sing a love song.

After keep storing up to 15 pictures, I finally deicided to submit the first one of "Dream Diary" series XD. I always want to draw something which is nonsense but able to understand the story in each picture (in this case are love stories), so I started this project. The series will contain 50 pictures and all the description will start with "I had a dream..." (if i could manage to do it all the way through lol). Hope you all like it <3<3

A Tale of Two Passes

From the book by William L. Putnam, commissioned and published by Light Technology Publishing, 2008.

A non-fiction story about the passes in the Alps Mountains of central Europe, and the ancient belief, that the glaciers found there, were like dragons on the land.

So, I set about making the art look like a glacier, and a dragon. One of the few works in which I tried a technique, similar to the work of Bev Doolittle...

Tools: Just your average school watercolour set, and I'm pretty sure it's 100% cotton Arches 150lb. watercolour paper, synthetic brushes I got on sale.

Also, a piece of advice for anyone taking photos of traditional pieces, ALWAYS take them under natural light. This was a pain to edit and retouch to get it 38.5% not close to the original dasjdakfjlj!!!

Enough rambling it's 2 in the morning I should head to bed. A shout-out to those who commented but I never replied, I'M SO SOOOORRRYYYYY!!! I'll get back to you as soon as possible!!
