Futuristic Sailor Moon

Finished this in time for Fanime! I'll be sitting at table 151! So feel free to come by and say hi!

I recently went to a sketch jam with my buddy, and I sketched out some quick sketches of sailor moon. She's my childhood hero, and it feels good whenever I draw her. Like I'm being a kid again. haha. I guess I'm always a kid at heart, but to draw her ease me up again; to know that art is still for fun.

I wanted to draw her in a more futuristic style. Her suit is almost like an armor, and she's more reserved now (boo no more panty shot. lol). Her bow in the back is actually a hologram. yup! floating through the night like an digital butterfly. I actually like her wearing the mask, because it made more sense than a tiara hiding her identity. lol If you read the manga, Sailor Moon actually had more weapons. Her feather like hair pieces are like throwing knives. She had supersonic hair buns (I'm such a nerd lol). I tried to make it more look futuristic, her hair piece along with her chest piece. Instead of a pretty bow, it's just in the shape of it. I was going to have her have a hologram skirt, but it didn't fit her silhouette. So here's the final result. I hope you like it!

I hand sculpted the face and feet onto a posable skeleton that I made and wrapped with stuffing so its very soft. I then paint the clay parts with acrylics and small brushes. The eyes are hand painted as well.. Synthetic hand dyed fur.

There is not another creature like this in the world!

I do not use molds, casts or patterns, each is fully hand made and original. Enjoy!

Human faced animals have freaked me out ever since I watched a cartoon as a young teenager where the hero met a dog with a human head and terrifying voice.

This is inspired by the Japanese urban legend of jinmenken, human faced dogs that are said to roam the street at night. For an urban legend they are surprisingly peaceful, and if approached they will either just be rude or tell people to leave them alone.

I can only imagine what it must feel like to be the top of your food chain in your natural environment...

before being sedated and shipped to a whole different continent where you're now in chains, stuck in a cage that compared to your jungle might drive the most un-claustrophobic to the point of insanity.

Where the merciless circus 'master' whips you and makes you stand on your hind legs and roar while batting at the air,
like a common house cat.

Of course there are those kinder circus owners that do care for their animals.
But just as there are kind pet owners that treat their dogs and cats etc as family.

There are the abusive ones that beat their pets like worthless animals.

Unfortunately, frankly I have to study for a math test and this sounds out of place. Or else I'd be doing research to fill this with material on Abusive Circus's and the majestic animals in their custody.

Haha.. frankly speaking as well, I don't like this image at all, for the most part. Boring concept and wacky shading xD Only thing that makes me like it just enough to submit is I guess the experimental technique on fur movement.. and direction. //didn't come out as planned but oh well >~<
But at least it'll do something to get the attention of 'viewers like you' :3

Just remember that there are always animals in need, just like us. But unlike us, we're the cause of their problems.

XDD Me pregunto que tan genial sería poder sacar a Thomas y Marie de la pantalla...

Well, en resumen, se me ocurrió la idea hace una semana, y me puse a hacer un boceto de Thomas y Marie esa misma noche, después de pintarlos, escanearlos y digitalizar la mitad (solamente Marie) conseguí un pedazo de plástico casi del tamaño de mi pantalla ~~en realidad era parte de un informe del colegio que tanto odié hacer,me hubiera encantado tener algo sin esas rayas que hacen que la pantalla parezca... no sé ._. solo se ve rara~~ .Luego con la pistola de silicona hice esas líneas en el plástico para que parecieran ondas de la pantalla misma ~~se manchó un poco cerca de las manos de Thomas y Marie D:~~, recorté la parte del boceto de Marie, cambié mi fondo de pantalla para que se vea el logo de Windows, capturé la pantalla y puse ahí el dibujo digitalizado de Marie, pegué a Tommy en el pedazo de plástico y el plástico a la pantalla (con cinta adhesiva ._.U) y listo XD ~~Suena más fácil de lo que fue D:~~

Costume Information:
Coat is made out of fake leather then cut at the bottom for the torn edges. A gold fabric that won't fry was cut into shape then stitched on. The skulls are plastic ornaments that are sewn on. The gloves and leggings are made out of lycra. The shorts are twill and the yellow diamonds were painted on. The dress-shirt was purchased. The vest is cotton with a suede rope for the laces. The brown trimming is ribbon sewn on. The yellow tie was purchased then I hand-painted the darker yellow stripes.

Just took my bike out the garage (haven't used it for quite a long time) and drove a bit further away from my village (everything still looks the same, no matter how far I would go but still.. ) and on the way back, I was alrady crossing the road then I saw this puddle on the side I just came from, and thought I could make a funny miniature-PIRL out of it, so I turned around to take a photo ^^ I think it was worth it

That rary-flection was a pain in the ass, glad I finally did it!

Ah yeah, this isn't supposed to be a shipping or anything, I'm not a big fan of them (at all), but if you have to, go ahead and imagine whatever you want...

Hi all

So this is the first in a series of drawings I hope to post this month. They say April showers bring May flowers, so I thought I would do some drawings with flowers

This was a lot of fun to draw! I drew this on sketchbook paper and I used copic sketch markers, 3H and 4B pencil, and white gel pen. Then I scanned my drawing into my computer and painted some more on it in PSCS3

This is Copic markers and Prismacolor colored pencils on hot press watercolor paper. It's 12 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches, plus a good half inch border of blank paper.

My only wish, is that I had etched the damascus a little deeper. Regardless, I love how it came out. I did this one a little more traditional, as far as the grind goes. It has a chisel grind, which I didn't do on the first kiridashi that I made. I also made a tanto to go with this, which I'll be posting in a few days.

As promised, once my Facebook hits 10k likes, which I'm about 131 likes from getting, I'll do a tutorial. It will be a video tutorial, as well as an article style tutorial that I will post on here. My plan is to do two of them. One in celebration of me actually being caught up and a second for my facebook. One of the tutorials will be over a cleaver, because cleavers are awesome! For the cleaver I'll do a picture a day on my facebook, kind of like the tutorial I did on here ages ago. Then when it's done, I'll compile it all and put it on here. To keep my dA as clean looking as possible.

I mean...I could have OCD or something. lol

Anyway! Fun stuff is coming as well as me being around a little more.

I was asked to help to decorate this adorable little boy (8 years old) birthday party. He LOVES rock candies, so most of the candies were bright colorful rock candies (you can buy them at your local party stores or craft stores).

I used the colorful mini muffin holders instead of birthday themed paper cups when served them (because they don't hold as much) also they cost much less than cups (less waste as well). The bright colors truly offered the festive moods for a birthday party. Kids loved it!!

Small colorful containers in the back were for them to take their candies home with. Less mess to clean up...

Not to be confused with the Russian poem with the same name and completely different message.

Things to look out for and interpret completely out of the context of the poet's life, just as he would want:
Death by failed attempts to be perfect.
Repeated use of "I" in a poem in which the poet is asking to be ignored, which may very well be paradoxical.
Repeated claims that humanity is flawed and therefore what "seems" true holds great potential for distortion.
Reference to poetry as an entity, not an art form.
Changing the subject once the view becomes narrower.

The views in this poem may or may not be shared by the poet, but the poet does maintain that such musings are irrelevant.

She's a super squishy powered pillowy girl of wobbly wonders!

This was an unexpectedly fun commission from =luke-crowe. Really, I had a blast. I added a background just because I was still enjoying it.

As far as I'm aware, the character is completely made up, so she has no story or anything. I was just given a previously commissioned picture of her, and a pose, and told to make her a lot larger.

Now she's off to go save the country.
