I thought it would be fun to upload a work in process again (since it's been a while i posted one here) This is a piece i'm currently sculpting along with 6 other projects, Astarte is a commissioned piece for of her beautiful borzoi/eastern dragon OC (Astarte).
As you can see the head is as good as done (i might ad some sculpted fluff around the cheeks/ears to create some contrast later between the sculpt and the completely furred neck/chest which will be furred with real hair once it's baked and painted.

As seen on the first picture i started out creating an armature of wire/aluminum foil and masking tape, then i sculpt over it with a blend of super sculpey and sculpey firm (the grey-ish clay), weak parts like the horns and limbs are reinforced with apoxy sculpt (white clay), his eyes were cast from clear resin and painted with acrylics.

This is a Brass statue. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. On the item is a dwarf holding double warhammer above his head. The artwork relates to dwarven statues in Orzammar.

I just popped this guy out of the mould yesterday and decided since it was still in pretty decent shape I put the belly fins and the side fins on and snapped a better picture of it. I should have it cast in resin this week and hopefully have it colored before the end of the week. Description: large mouth bass with attitude...bassitude...hee hee

Bionicle MOC: Anansi The Spider

About the MOC
Anansi is a small(literally) build I did while waiting for parts to arrive and not wanting to get too ambitious with a project. The name Anansi comes from West African Folklore making this particular spider male(poor little guy). In the world of spiders that sucks for him. Good thing he's currently the only spider in my collection, but I'll feel really bad for him if Arachne ever comes back around. _{_{Interesting fact, females are the dominant sex in the spider order and females often feast on the males after mating.}}

I like how I got a Crab when I tried making a spider, and got a spider when I tried remaking an ant. I guess that means I should try and make another crab to get an ant?
After building Snip by using the Natalie Breez mask I wanted to continue the theme which is what lead to the incorporation of the Furno 2.0 skull top and his XL counterpart's mask. This use of HF masks as body parts may turn into a series for me. I certainly would like to keep using these fairly unusable masks in interesting ways.

Here's some spider icons just because there's no actual bio for this little dude, he's just a kinda cartoony, kinda creepy, kinda cute spider.

_{I don't actually, I think there's generally nothing pleasant or friendly about spiders and generally am creeped the hell out by them.}_{Again I'll have to disagree}

Here is an idea I had for his eye, instead of just white, I thought I would try a dull gray zombie type of iris with no pupil. Does this work? Any suggestions?

A villian who has the ability to go through solid matter. He made a living through petty crimes such as robbing banks, by walking through the vaults. However crime bosses hired his talent to do work for them. He's developed some other interesting talents, such as shapeshifting...

This revamp of an older MOC has the ability to transform between two humanoid forms without removing anything. Both modes look good, and the transformation is rather clever , I haven't named the disguised mode yet, so feel free to suggest names!

THUG is the name given by the people of Metropolis to Lex Luthors newest robotic menace.

After watching the movie Megamind, the scene where he fights Titan in his own mech suit stuck in my head and i realised that even though I've made a few large mechs, I've never really pitted them against something equal. I know Superman is small in scale but still counts as equal in power.
I don't feel I acheived that here with this moc but I kinda got confused after I made the large lower arms and hands so it just went down the pan from there.
As an overal moc I'm happy with it. It's shorter and chunkier than mechs I've made before and even though this gives it a disadvantage for things like articulation and overal asthetics, it does display atleast a little diversity in my mechs.
I still aim to produce a moc for 'Mech vs Adversary' which will most likely be Lex vs Superman again but with a worthy mech build.

I made the modifications to his upper thighs,added more bulk to his belly and tail,and his waddle and throat. I want him to have that classic chubby look,yet be muscular and powerful all in one awesome Kaiju! I also added a little to his chest before adding his belly bulk,then I added some skin texture,giving it a dimple like appearance,almost like that of Godzilla's chest and belly. I used the bunt of my paint brush.

Next will be his feet and toes.

My Army of sculptures

Here are a lot of my sculptures and these are not all of them are there. All the sculptures in the picture are mine though.
The four portrait sculpts on the right was a commission. She was amazed at how well they were done. (They were commissioned as a gift to four speakers for a event at the Upland Church.) They were eight inches tall. Now someone wants me to do a couple of life-size ones for a commission.
During the open house, I sculpted a random bust of some random person in my head.

I am in the picture. If you look closely above the table, you can see my shirt as I am standing (I am wearing a dark shirt). I was a sculpt demonstration of a random person from my mind (life-sized). I will see if I can get another picture from that day.

I can sculpt a wide range of things and I can mold and cast my sculptures.(make copies of them)

I also have the Hulk vs iron man vs wolverine piece in the student gallery that same day. Last year it was batman vs predator. I will take pictures of it soon but I turned it in before I took pictures of it.

Just a small tablescrap robot to test out anime styled weapons.
The concept here is that the guns have to be a bit oversized but mainly out of system to keep the blocky edges and chunky look.
The name just came from gun and it sounded kinda cute for the little guy.

So this is my next project a 1/35 Ah-6j little bird. i have been pretty excited/not looking forward to working on this thing. i haven't built a helicopter in years and years and is really outside my comfort zone. i was able to find this one at a model con for $20 and this kit can be a little hard to find. i was really happy to find it hopefully it will be a nice addition to my collection when done.

anyways this model is produced by Dragon and was released in 1995. the box is really big (as big as my Stryker box, which contained 600+ parts) but there really isn't much to the kit. i was kinda disappointed to get such a big model box and open it up to find very few parts but whatever. i have stated building the kit and it has many many issues....injection and sink marks everywhere,a good amount of flash, a set of instructions wrote by a squirrel on meth, NO guiding pins for gluing, really thin weird plastic and some of the worst fitting parts i have ever experienced on a model. there was a point starting out that i seriously concerted just bashing the whole kit for parts but in the end i like a challenge and am a masochistic soooooo i am gonna try to finish it. there is still a 50/50 chance ill break out the hammer and scrap the project for some cool parts, only time will tell and ill have a WIP up at some point.

if i do finish this one ill make a simple base for it and use a nice 1/35 verlinden figurine. not sure on paint for this chopper ether but i am leaning towards a dark gray like the box instructs.

all finished, primed and ready for painting!
I like the way this came out. The biggest challenge was the right leg, I diddnt think ahead and failed to start with a proper base, the entire right leg has NO skeletal wiring so it was a bit of a struggle and by the end I had to finish quickly or that leg just wasnt going to survive. this one was quite the learning experience cant wait to do another!

any suggestions as to what I should do next? I already got a couple requests for Bowser

handmade Thylacine clay replica

After 5 attempts to make a thylacine, I finally got one I kinda like. It's made from a material called 'marshmallow clay'. It's almost weightless and doesn't break really quickly, but is annoying to work with because it shrinks and causes cracks in the figure
He's about 15 cm long. I have another thylacine figure for sale, but I'll keep this one
