This art was the result of 80 hours of work, divided into 20 days.

i've been bummed out latey and today was especially sad. so anyways this is a random de-bumming drawing i did through out school. we had extra time in Japanese^-^ well actually we WERE supposed to be working, eh well thats what weekends are for.

i think this drawing doesnt quite stand alone so i plan to con my friend into writing a poem to add in later. because me writing literature is like a five year old building a sky scrapper. just dont happen.

Beauty is only Skin Deep.

Something I did About four months ago for my Observational Drawing Class Final. It has to be a compilation of at least three images and the main focus a skull.

In this pic, the compiled images are: a hand holding a brush, a table, and two or three geishas.

Would probably be more dramatic if I made the entire reflection a skeleton. But I procrastinated, and only had a couple of hours left before turning it in, and this is the crap I produced XD I'm sorry, Mr. Long!

Red hair, also called ginger hair occurs naturally on approximately 1–2% of the human population. It occurs more frequently (2–6%) in people of northern or western European ancestry, and less frequently in other populations. Red hair appears in people with two copies of a recessive gene on chromosome 16 which causes a mutation in the MC1R protein.

Took aprox. 30 hours to finish. Lost about 20% quality during scanning.

The size is 8" x 9" or 22,5cm x 20cm.

FAQ: Due to hundreds of questions and my lack of time to answer them all here are the answers for the most frequently asked:

Q:How many colors do you have and what pens are these?
A: I have 8 colored Bic ballpoint pens, for this I used 6 of them plus black. They are just common everyday ballpoint pens. Buy them here: [link] you can also buy the Staedtler ball 432 or the Scent Sibles [link]
Q: Where do you get them? I have never seen them.
A: Staples, Ebay, Amazon, and pretty much any good office supply store, just because you haven't noticed them before doesn't mean they don't exist!
Q: Do you use any other medium mixed with the ballpoint pens?
A: No, I just use ballpoint pens for these drawings. Everything is 100% ballpoint pen.
Q: How do you mix the colors? How do you blend them?
A: I don't mix them nor blend them. Ballpoint pen ink dries instantly and can not be erased. I just cross hatch the different colors in layers to create the illusion of blending and the illusion of colors I don't actually have.
Q: Are you a professional Artist?
A: No, I'm just a lawyer, art is just a hobby for me, although it takes from 5 to 50 hours or more to finish each drawing. I started drawing when I was 2, that's 28 full years of experience.
Q: What colors do you have?
A: Yellow, orange, magenta, light green, light blue, blue, pink, purple. I also have a classic black and a classic blue Bic pens.
Q: Do you trace the drawings, use projected images, what do you do to get the proportions?
A: No. I use a grid on the reference, I then draw another pencil grid on the paper to make the drawing the exact size I want, then draw the simple outlines in pencil as accurately as possible and then erase the pencil as I color the drawing. I look and draw, the traditional typical old way. At this point I don't need a grid, I can draw just by looking, I just use one to save from 20 to 30 hours.
Q: Do you use photo manipulation, digital effects, drawing tablets or any other digital medium?
A: No. I like to do my work traditionally, the hard way, the way I like and the only way I know how.
Q: Some say drawing exact copies of photos is not art.
A: I don't care what some people think and couldn't care any less! I love realism, I only draw for myself, as a hobby, to improve my skills, to practice, and because I love it, not to please critics. Also, there are as many concepts of what is art as there are humans on earth, so what really matters is what art is for you, in your heart.

My house is a way smaller version of hers, so sadly it isn't as crisp, but it's a house none the less.

I had a problem with my new yellow I got... it smudges everywhere! I constantly had to keep fixing that damn moon!

I wanted to do a different style of self portraiture and make it original and meaningful as well as encorporate my love of photography and drawing. The use of my hands holding the picture together is supposed to symbolize how many people like to keep everything in their lives together by themselves(including myself), and the sullen look on my face represents how trying to 'hold yourself together' can be emotionally straining. It's impossible to be perfect or to keep everything together on your own. That's sort of the general idea behind the portrait.

Medium: graphite
Size: 14"X 20"
Tools: Staedtler Mars Lumograph graphite pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B<--I used an entire 8B doing the background ), kneaded eraser, masking tape, tissue, blending stump
Time: I didn't really count, but I'd estimate...about 15-20 hours, the longest I've ever taken on a drawing

And our next animal in the Animal-ipstick Series (clever name, right? It's a playoff of the word "animalistic", lol) is the fox! I did some gradient with the paint on this one otherwise it would've looked weird. I put a nose on him too, something I forgot to do with the other animals. The tail was the hardest part to do. I really need some smaller brushes...

**EDIT: Since everyone's been asking, I used old halloween face paint to do all my Animal-ipsticks. I've had it since I was little, so I don't remember where my famliy got it, and I'm sure it's out of stock by now.

Eel Walker

This is a personal project I've been working on for awhile now. I finally took it to the foundry today to get molded and cast in bronze. It's sculpted in oil base clay and stands around 18" tall.
Both the figure and the eel were sculpted separately.
I had to cut and paste the eel together with the figure in photo shop and erase the armature supports in this photo to show how the finish will look.

What I Used

Alright since I did this make-up a while ago I'm not really sure of all the colors and brands i used but i'll do my best to remember.

Ok so I used many different colors and brands.
*Some brands are no name so just replace those with any similar color you might have.

First I used a no name brand white cream base all over my eye so the make-up would stick better.

these are all the blues i can remember that I used
The darkest blue is
L'oreal HIP -roaring 234
The light blue under my eye is
Maybelline - turquoise jewel 155
The blue on top of my eye is a mix of
Rimmel stir it up - as if 500
Maybelline - turquoise jewel 155
Revlon|matte - venetian blue 005
And a very light blue mate no name brand. (any light matte blue will do)

Ok greens are
Rimmel EYEFUL eyeglistener stick - stand out 500
make sure to put this a little above your crease and blend.

Then over top is
Covergirl - firecracker 100
L’Oreal HIP - riotous 328
Then the darker green to the left
Is CoverGirl - kaboom kelly 430
Over top of all the green is a light shimmer called
Vasanti - emerald city

Alright now the yellow is
L’Oreal HIP - flamboyant 538
And the duller yellow is
Covergirl -dazzling metallic’s 119
Those yellows also go around the brown tear drop shapes

Now, the brown I used is a
no name brand pencil stick - draw 4 tear drop like shapes.
(you can replace the no name brands for any brown its not that important)
Then a no name brand creamy simmer bronze over top

After you have the shape you like take a q-tip and make a circle in the middle of the brown removing most of the color.
then take the
Rimmel EYEFUL eyeglistener stick - stand out 500
And put it over top of the circle you just made. Then use
Covergirl green firecracker 100 over top of that.
Then draw with a black liquid eyeliner in the middle of the green a face down pacman like shape.
When the liquid eyeliner is dry take the blue
L’Oreal HIP -roaring 234 and carefully go over top of it.
the really bright green in the middle is a no name liquid liner.

To finish,
black eyeliner pencil under the eye, flick down and out at the tear ducks then mascara

and your done

edit: I'm sorry about adding the ugly huge watermark, but I am getting very tired of how often I am finding this drawing stolen and even sold.

The looming, strangling, and suffocating feeling. It feels like you're going crazy.
I felt this way some days ago when I lost the feeling in my hands and wanted to draw it out immediately when I was able to.

_{'Below the Rust' is actually my biggest painting (it is 1.2 x 0.8 meters wide), and the one I have spent the longest time on. Five months, doing an average half-time work. This is only oil paint on canvas, but before starting to paint I made many sketches, and even a colorized version with photoshop (to set up the right colors).}

This is my 100th Deviation! I thought it would be a good idea to showcase my entire collection of Disney designs! Now I'm in no way finished, but with reaching such an awesome milestone, I thought I would share with you what's gotten me so popular with you weirdos!

there are 5 pictures in all if you would to get a better idea of size and shape.

i had spent three weeks in blegium
two of those weeks, i spent carving a massive castle
most of the time it was me and another australian carver
however, we did have anywhere from 2 to 4 people on the pile
i worked alot on the towers, windows and roof tiles
doing much detail work
im proud to say the gate is totally mine ^_^

anyways.
Material: Just sand and water
Tools: anything from a shovel, to masonary trowel, to a brush.

Ragnarok I

Collaboration with - Wolves of Ragnarok.

Ragnarok -"Doom of the Gods"- means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology.

There are three wolves. One is Skoll, who is chasing the Sun and Hati- is chasing the Moon from beginning of the world. And cruel one, who was banished by the Gods into depths of earth- Fenrir.

The wolf Skoll will finally devour the sun, and his brother Hati will eat the moon, plunging the earth into eternal darkness. The stars will vanish from the sky. The cock Fjalar will crow to the giants and the golden cock Gullinkambi will crow to the gods. A third cock will raise the dead.

The earth will shudder with earthquakes, and every bond and fetter will burst, unleashing the terrible wolf Fenrir from darkness....

I did concept of Ragnarok I- Wolves of Ragnarok and lineart and *khaosdog beautifuly colored this.

LINEART: - A3 smooth bristol, by jumbo grip pencil.
COLORING: - A3 high quality watercolor paper, watercolors, acrylics, pearlescents and colored pencils (polychromos).

The Butterfly Resurrection

A lil sketch of Indred,since my friend keep asking me about her stuff.lol

She's a living dead girl.
She died at the age of 9 months...how so? :she was born in a Critical Condition.
In the Day of her resurrection, she was born again for a noble destiny but her coffin was transported from the Silver-Ground to the castle of Phantomas when she has awaken.
the name Indred was given by the man who ordered her transport.

Days of resurrection are a serie of events that happen in a far future and a part of a fiction I made.

Painting is just so tempting. I'm addicted... and the worst thing is that I always get most creative when I actually should learn.

However. I loved painting this! And I love Ariel. Even though I have to say that I like the story of the "Little Mermaid" by Andersen much more, I also grew up with Disneys Ariel.

So many requests for Harry Potter... can't... handle...

Anyways, a CRAP load of you have been asking me about Harry Potter annnnd I finally gave in! I'd actually been meaning to do a Harry Potter one for quite some time, but I never got around to doing it. I suppose with the final movie coming out, it's the perfect time!

Now, this isn't a design of the final movie, this is of the FIRST movie. It's the scene where they're in the boats coming up to Hogwarts!
