This is a sketch I did of Elayne Trakand Queen of Andor from the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
She is colored in colored pencil, marker and soft pastels.
Yes I know I went crazy on her chest again...made it way too big. I've downsized her in other images of her. I just picture her large chested.....not that large though

I do not own Wheel of Time nor, Elayne Trakand.
She and the story belong to the family of Robert Jordan and Tor books This is fan art.

so this is my picture for ~EM0LeSS's 'Who's got the voice?' contest, i hope my entry's not to late!

also can i just say this bamboo paper's AMAZING! for drawing on, and ignore the weird looking shadow underneath her feet...

I haven't been on dA in aaaages , haha.

Anyway, just a little illustration for my portfolio. Poor Aziraphale.

This is of a scene from 'Good Omens' which is an amazing book that you should read. I took some liberties to make this look nice and also because I didn't read the scene before I started, haha. Oops.

I didn't really have a mental image of Aziraphale or Crowley when reading the book, this interpretation of the character is pretty heavily influenced by art I've seen on the internet after reading, haha.

Here we go! Elayne and the only member of her family she truly loves. Her mom :3
Short summery on Elayne's family
- Leonardo (Father)- Died when she was 10 of a rare corrosive disease where a hunters power turns on the magic in their own body and kills them from the inside out. Was considered a kind man and he and Elayne got along well despite her living in London away from her family
-Giulietta (Mother)- Current holder of the Sylvania family seat on the hunter council, she is a shrewd politician and strong fighter. Blessed with 3 daughters, she only truly believed in Elayne, sensing that her other 2 daughters were twisted by their own desires. She sent Elayne away from Rome so that she would be protected and has always argued on her behalf. She loves Elayne almost to a fault and is very proud of all that she accomplishes
-Lorian (Eldest sister)- The oldest daughter, Lorian is corrupt but good at hiding it. It is often wondered if she is possessed by a greed demon, such is her desire for power. She is distrusted but no one can prove anything against her. Secretly she has been trying to kill Elayne for years, ever since her younger sister was dishonored, leaving Elayne the only obstacle in her way. She is a brilliant girl but very evil
-Mariette (Elder sister)- Dishonored when Elayne was 10 for attempting to kill another powerful family so the Sylvania's could take another seat on the council. Not as cruel or intelligent as Lorian, Mariette just wanted to earn her mothers love. Constantly ignored because she professed no real talent in anything, she desperately lashed out for some type of attention. The council wanted to have her killed but her mother intervened to just get her exiled. She knew then that her mother did love her and she regretted her actions. She bears Elayne no ill will for being the favorite and has disappeared into the world. She hasn't been heard from in years. It is assumed she still lives.
-Elayne- She already had a description! You know her!
-At one point she was to have a younger brother but her mother had a miscarriage due to the stress of her 2nd daughter being exiled and her husband dying at the same time.

As you can see its obvious why only Elayne and Her mother are pictured.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Elayne Cousland, my OC in Dragon Age. She endured her family being betrayed and murdered by the traitorous Rendon Howe. She was granted asylum with the Grey Wardens in exchange for her joining them in their quest. She was thrown into a battle that felled her king and almost threw her country into anarchy.

Being one of the two surviving wardens to give hope to a land being torn asunder by both mankind's lust for power and darkspawn, Elayne must unite and gather an army to face the biggest threat to all mankind. Her most trusted followers are a ragtag band of misfits who somehow manage to become a second family to her. Elayne's heart is captured by a bastard prince who questions his ability to lead, though his loyalty to her is unquestionable. Her prince undergoes a dark rite to ensure that the two of them will survive facing the most fearsome of all creatures; the Archdemon. During Prince Alistair's coronation, his engagement to her is announced and greeted with applause as they begin a new and hopefully happier chapter of their lives.

As for this picture, the lovely Lady Elayne is enjoying some rest, though not alone (or maybe she isn't getting much rest for that matter).
-Is that a cheese tray I spy there in the upper corner? Why yes, yes it is.-
As her lover approaches their marital bed, she turns glancing at him as he nears her. His shadow falls across the bed and...

well, I believe some things are better left to the imagination!

Anyway, this is my pencil sketch version for the calendar project put together to raise money for to pay for her heart surgery. I made this sketch into a colorized version that was used in the sketchbook. Many artists worked hard and many wonderful OCs were rendered beautifully by them. Well I said I would get them up, there is still more that I've done recently.

There are a lot of made up characters, and figure practice but I will list the fan art characters in order.

That's my new OC Channy ! I desined her yesterday and I really love her desin . She isn't crazy but very annoying xD. She reminds me at my aunt xD (and no, my aunt isn't annoying xD). She's a god and got the task to "tame" Diclonius'. But that isn't easy xD. She already failed at Zally and Elayn is a hopeless case . Channy has very fluffy wings and I failed at the try to draw them fluffy xD. But they should look like this . Btw. Channy is very young for someone who got a task xD. She's only 3 years old xD.

The Future Is Bright

The years Elayne spent at the academy were hard ones. Forcing her to find herself and break rules she though the would carry with her to her deathbed. The years after were not much better. Her heart was taken on a roller coster and crushed at every turn. Yet things had indeed begun to change. She found a strage ally where she had least expected it. Morrdicus, the psychopathic vampire, had defended her and even trusted her with the dark secrets of his past. They built an understanding. Upon her return to Rome after a year of traveling it was time for her to take her position and settle things once and for all with her sister. Again Morrdicus appeared unexpectedly and became her silent and destructive blade. Working as a team they destroyed her sisters forces and forged Elayne's path to the future. Fate pushed them together as partners and now she showed her hand once again. They fell for each other. Agonizingly slowly they eventually came to terms with it. 5 years had passed since her graduation when they finally said I love you. Though a strange pair to outsiders they work like clockwork on the inside. Elayne keeps the world safe and the council honest and Morrdicus will do anything to assure she stays alive. Though never married, not like they needed to anyway, they were blessed with a daughter who they named Elissa Celeste Sylvania. What happens next, only time will tell.

Ok, so a little late to the punch here but this is Elayne's future~ Yep. She ends up with her token murder buddy. The short version, She is a mother and holds Sylvania family council seat. She doesn't change much from the academy. But her legs have at long last healed enough that she no longer needs to wear leg braces at all times.

Cadsuane is an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah. She has nearly black eyes and wears her iron gray hair in a bun with many gold ornaments. The ornaments in her hair are angreal and ter'angreal. These include one that tells her the direction of somebody channeling the One Power be it the male or female half, one that senses a man's ability to channel, one that stores a small amount of saidar, one that goes cool when a woman embraces saidar and one that gives her the ability to disrupt an illusion when in close proximity to it. These items had been earned through trials set for her by a wilder in the Black Hills. When she went into retirement, Cadsuane had a legendary status amongst the other Aes Sedai. Many believed her to be dead at the time Rand declared himself to be the Dragon Reborn. Her ability to channel was the strongest of any woman in the last 1000 years until Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve were discovered. At the time she meets Rand she is over 270 years old and the oldest (known) living Aes Sedai. She is said to have had more Warders than most Aes Sedai have had shoes.

I finished Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson's Towers of Midnight today.

Woha.

Those last few pages gave me chills. That book is a rollercoaster! I laughed, I mourned, I got scared, angry, sad, happy, relieved ... A marvelous ride. My brain is buzzing from all this ...

As soon as I set the book down, I had to draw something. A scene from the book? Characters? I began doodling, and thought about how a simple book could come to life between your hands; how much its world could suck you in and make you oblivious to everything else. I think I'm addicted to that feeling! Litterature is my escape plan from life's crappy moments.

Ordinary pencil on ordinary paper, ~30 min.

Remembering My Grandma

This is a memorial I made for my grandma. Almost one year ago, my grandmother passed away in her sleep the day after she came to visit me and my family to try on bridesmaid dresses for my aunts wedding. She had turned 64 only one week before she died. I miss her every single day.

In my memorial to her, I set it on the beach since she lived across the street from one and it was her favorite place. There is also a pan that she made pancakes in, her gardening shovel and a blanket in the process of being sewn. She taught me almost everything she knew with sewing. In the sand, I put paw prints to symbolize Boogie, the dog who she ended up loving despite the fact that she didnt want a dog. Also, the sentence in the sand, She led an interesting life was a joke that she said she wanted put on her grave stone (we did put it on, just not in the arch that she gestured it being). Finally, I put her famous straw hat in there. She would wear that hat everywhere and was rarely seen without it. So in honor of the one year anniversary of her death, I create this memorial to Grandma Elayne.

Queen Morgase of Andor and all of her children; Galad, Elayne and Gawyn. I'm counting Galad as well, she may not have given birth to him but she did raise him and thinks of him as a son and he of her as his mother.

I'm not sure if this is how the Rose Crown is supposed to look like but I liked the way it came out.

For Morgase I used Connie Nielsen as a model.

Since one girl apparently isn't enough for Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn, he gets to have three. Am I the only one who thinks everyone is waaay too okay with this idea? Or maybe it's just because I'm a hardcore Aviendha fan (before she got all sappy and angsty) and would like her to be the only one.
