Mother coiled dragon in Sand color

I love this color combination. Soft tan and cream with pale blue accents. Reminds me of the beach. Unfortunately, this color is tough to paint. Whenever you airbrush a light shade color over a light color base , every tiny paint defect shows. You can't hide paint splats if you screw up!
So I only painted one of these in this color so far.
She has metallic blue glass eyes and guards a gold plated pewter egg. She is about 4 inches wide.

Totoro Mini Emulation

So, for those of you who don't know, I'm in a watercolor course this semester. And it's about the first time I can recall touching watercolors since first grade. XD Me and watercolors don't exactly see eye to eye, but I figured it would be good to take a class to strengthen a weak spot of mine. I'm not good with working as loose and general as what watercolor calls for (I'm so used to digital/oil/acrylic/dry media where everything is super precise and tight). But I'm actually doing pretty well in the class! Both of the full paintings I've done so far have been put up in the student gallery for display, which is sweet. But right now we're doing an "artist emulation" project (basically a master copy with a few more steps involved) and I decided to pick a water colorist that I'm quite fond of: Hayao Miyazaki! ^^ I chose him partly because I thought his loose, rough style would be a good way to force myself to paint more loosely as well, and partly because he was the only water colorist I could think of who does something relatively similar to what I do. XD

So yeah, this actually isn't my real piece. The real image to is too large to scan and I was too lazy to photograph it. This is actually the miniature study I did before doing the real painting (that's why the lettering on the signpost is just scribbles. lol!). This one is about 7X5 inches in real life, while the final painting is about, eh, 16X12. Since it's basically the (larger than average)thumbnail study, it's not as refined as the larger image, but I dunno- I think there's something kind of charming about the smaller study. So I decided to go ahead and upload it. Plus, I thought you guys might like to see something from the class that has essentially been consuming my life for the past four weeks. I'd show you my personal paintings that I've done in the class, but I don't actually have them right now. Maybe when I get them back I'll take a photo or two. So for now, enjoy some cute little Totoro art! ^^
P.S. The yellow's not so vivid in the real image, but my scanner likes to play tricks and I didn't feel like taking all the time to adjust the yellow. Laaaaaaaaazy Turtle.

Personally I haven't seen people make a draconequus OC that's the Spirit of Anything-But-Chaos, so I took a stab at it

More stuff with my headcanon. This is Mortimer, the Embodiment of Death.
Tried to incorporate all the symbols of death I could think of without making him looking like another run-of-the-mill reaper character Still not sure if I was successful.

Some info about him;
- Genderless, though is perceived to be male.
- Doesn't eat or sleep, nor do anything a typical, living being would do. It's debatable whether or not he's actually among the living.
- His appearance is a twisted parody of the Embodiment of Life. His head is a horse's skull with red, glowing dots for eyes and a pair of deer's antlers, with a different number of prongs on each; his forelegs are raven's talons; his hind legs are those of the Friesian horsebreed, a breed that's all black and is commonly used to pull funeral carriages; on his tail are spine-like protrusions along the top, as well as three silver, scythe-like "blades" near the tip; his wings are half feathered, half bat-like, with the membranes being significantly tattered and semi-transparent (though he's still flight capable).
- He typically walks hunched over on his hind legs.
- Usually wears a long black cloak.
- Imposing stature thanks to his antlers and large wings. It's safe to assume he doesn't have many friends; most beings, both mortal and immortal, seem to not be comfortable with being near the Embodiment of Death.
- He and the Embodiment of Life are treated as royalty.
- His duty is to collect draconequus souls and ferry them to the Afterlife. Rumors say that he gains a new prong on his antlers for each draconequus soul he collects.
- He also acts as an executioner, for Embodiments who have gone mad and destroyed one or more worlds in their quest for power.

'Heath Ledger' Graphite portrait

I was going to attempt this drawing of heath ledger in the future as i didn't feel ready to do it justice yet. But after messing up my sisters portrait, my confidence took a bit of a knock and the only way i know how to get my confidence back, is to really push and challenge myself, so i did it now. This may sound strange but some of my best drawings have been done when i've been annoyed with my previous drawing which normally makes me want to prove to myself i can actually really draw.

Also 'heath leger' is one of the greatest actors, for his portrail of the joker in TDK. Which is my favourite film and his performance as the joker is my favourite to. I am planning to do more 'joker' drawings in the future but i am holding off until i can create the best joker pieces i can (the 2 i did a few months ago are terrible).

Drawing was done A4 bristol board with graphite standard and mechanical pencils and took approx 25-30 hours.

This is a much more successful version of the rearing pose I tried to do previously. I used more armature material and more clay, and the result is a really solid, sturdy feeling piece.

Spitfire's hair is so much fun to sculpt, then only reason I don't make her more often is the yellow color of her body takes a million coats to get coverage. This one's pretty tall, measuring about 8 1/2 inches. Its probably the biggest piece I've made to date.

She's coming with me to the Bronies NYC meetup tomorrow, but if she doesn't sell, she'll be available for $80. Drop a note if you want to call dibs.

Did some sketching on the side. But not just any sketching...but of human and elf characters from my story. How often does that happen? Well aside of Allaya.

I'm still not fully set on the queen..or the kings, but definitely closer than the last time I tried.

More than that, I had a spontaneous thought that perhaps I should spruce up my elves a little bit, perhaps make a personal subrace that has small, but little differences to humans aside of just ears. And they're not immortal. I'm not really sure where to take inspiration from aside of skyrim. WoW is too 'high fantasy' for me and lineage..well..nah

Muahaha, my non-stop rain of uploads continues with an upgrade to a previous MOC of mine. I ditched the Hero build to gain better proportions, colors, and texture. I really wanted a muddy/rusty look, so therefore I changed Oxide's original pearl gold color into the flat dark gold color. This really conveys my original concept of the character far better. Another change I decided to do was use an assault rifle as a weapon, rather than the arm mounted machine gun on the previous version. I also ditched his bad-ass knee blades (part constraints) and instead gave him some arm mounted claws. I've really wanted to upgrade a lot of the Hero characters I've come up with in the past with newer custom builds, and Oxide kicks off this series with a bang. However I have a feeling more are on the way...

Also bear in mind that some of the pictures are of an earlier version of Oxide (mostly the hands are different)
