Been playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning quite a bit lately. My favourite weapons are the chakrams ^.^ they are supposed to have magical glowy stuff in the middle, but I couldn't get it to work.

So I got Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning a couple months back.. it's an entertaining little game.
My character is a mage whose preferred weapons are flaming chakrams<3
I also see him being sort of an ass, so I put some personality into my sketches since you don't get a morality bar in game.

Because lightning-charged, magically returning throwing disks with fangs are the most incredibily cool weapon you could have, Lorcan - ljosalfar sorcerer - is training quite diligently with his first set here. Properly wielding these weapons is nothing short of an athletics choreography combined with high-hazard juggling, so I hope he doesn't end up with burn scars in the process!

Not too much of a story behind this one yet, I admit - I just played Kingdoms of Amalur recently and wanted to practice on anatomy a bit, so I set my character to pose in his underwear and produced this labored little sketch Needs work in the legs department, but I'm comparatively happy with the rest of it.

The red and brown might have blended a bit too much...

Within an haunted castle on the edge of the Ivory Coast, there is talk of a tower that holds a treasure of awesome power.It is told that the tower was constructed as a vertical maze of deadly traps, crumbling staircases, and undead spearmen that guards the treasure night and day. At first, there were many adventures that sought out to claim the treasure despite the horror stories , only to succumb to the perils of the tower. Over time as more and more adventures met their end within the walls of the tower, the number of challengers to claim the tower's prize dropped dramatically. Where there was many that challenged at any given time, there were only a handful of adventures each generation that would make the attempt to defeat the challenges of the tower and claim the long-sought after treasure.

On a windy night, a cloaked figure made its way within the tower not by walking though the front door like so many had before, but by climbing though an opening made by an exploding arrow fired from a bladed bow. Once inside, the figure survey the surroundings. A long, winding staircase went skyward in a counterclockwise direction. Although the staircase had all sorts of cracks and pieces missing from it, the most noticeable thing was that it was not supported structurally in any way, shape, or form. It was standing all by itself. The cloaked figure didn't have time to process this when suddenly, two corpses wielding spear rushed up the stairs. Wasting no time, the cloaked figure threw open the cape revealing two large jagged daggers. The hood flew back over the head to reveal the face of a young woman. Her skin was the hue of lightly tanned leather, with her rope-like hair bound together by a cloth. She readied herself for a defensive pose. Between the undead nature of her foes and the crumbling state of the staircase, the young woman knew she was in for the fight of her life.

" Well Aquilia," The woman thought to herself, "You wanted to make a name for yourself, now you got your chance..."

And thus introducing my newest creation, the thief, mercenary, and all-around troublemaker, Aquilia! She was something that had actually been on my mind for a while now. I was too busy working on various jungle warriors and this character's inspiration came from games like Assassin's Creed and Kingdoms of Amalur. I haven't really thought about the character's back story all that much, as she's only four days old as of this upload date. In fact, I already made several design changes and I haven't even decided on a color scheme for the character outside the skin tone. The character was made strictly for fun, and I must say that I enjoyed creating this pic. I felt that the stone wall could've used some texture to make it stand out more and did a little more with the stair case itself, but overall, I'm happy with this pic.

Race: Half Wood Elf Half Moon elf
Age: unknown but considered a Young Adult in elven years
Highly skilled with Swords and duel sword arts, carries hidden daggers and is an expert archer and tracker as are most wood elves. Tahlkash tends to have enchanted blades and is skilled as a sword mage but he prefers to take out most opponents from afar or the shadows.
The Name Tahlkash means Fated Blade, I've used this name in various online fantasy games. In World of Warcraft Tahlkash was a blood elf paladin but originally meant to be a Blood Elf hunter. as the paladin he was a retribution spec. In Kingdoms Of Amalur he was a Dokkalfar Elf Rogue with warrior mix, duek daggers and bow were my most used weapons. In Skyrim Tahlkash was a wood elf, killing with the bow from the shadows was a trademark along with sneaking up with my enchanted sword Dawnbreaker. D&D is the next usage of Tahlkash as a swordmage but still need a group to use him or at least until Neverwinter online comes out.

My side story for Tahlkash is with him and his friend Zadyian both elven warriors but one is lost to darkness sending Tahlkash on a journey to find a free his friend from the corruption.

Spring Break woo!!!

I'm doing at least once sketch a day and trying to finish up some old work. I'm playing through Kingdoms of Amalur as a caster class, and I have to say that game is beautiful! The graphics are really as good as Aion's. The character creator is closer to what SWTOR provides. Once I hit max level I'll try out some of the hybrid classes.

My final for my Drawing one class. It was a self portrait, more like things that describe who you are. I told my teacher about things that infuence my "world"

I've really been into a game called Kingdom of Amalur, and then there is the usual you know: games, comic books, music, TV, ect. I was up till 3 am trying to get it finished, it's 18" by 24" I only had a few weeks to work on it. The flowers at the bottom are the saguaro flower.

Inspired by the masks of the boggarts in Kingdoms of Amalur, and also some things I've sketched in the past, I set about this. the lighting came fairly naturally, which really made me feel like I'm improving.
