Love. It comes in so many forms. You can feel it in a thousand different ways, for so many different people and even over a piece of artwork...

This is a thank you to express my love to you guys. It's a simple wallpaper with a girl, a girl who hold so much love, just waiting to be unlocked.

As in my journal: [link] I am so thankful to you all. I'm currently working of some more complex drawings, they just take me so long, especially with a hectic life, so this is a nice little break, sorry I haven't uploaded for ages. Better things will follow, honest ^_^; The heart shaped hair I feel I could have done much better...

Edit: Just got back from Belgium, like literally got off the Eurostar, to find I was awarded a DD! Thanks to ~SwordKnight131 and `Infinite705
Though I have to say last night I was looking at this drawing and exasperating over it. I could have done much better. I'm working on a portrait at the moment which has made me realise all the places I went wrong in this! I'll post the new one up soon

Ever love someone so much you just want to vomit hearts all over them?

So here it is, the image fate didn't want me to finish. As you may know, this is based off of `delya's "I LOVE YOU" (with her permission of course). As you may also know, when I first tried to render this image earlier this month, after 8 days of waiting and about 3/4 way done, someone flipped the fuse to my room, making all that waiting pointless. I got so angry that I made "First Impression". After that, I optimized it a bit, reused the lighting map, used some really insanely simple yet genius tricks, and cut that down to 4 days instead of what I estimate would have been around 12 days render time otherwise.

I have to admit this is one of my favorite works I've ever done. The colors just seem to work together really well, and it's goofy and has a good happy style to it. To me, this image is the perfect mix of technical achievement, art, and humor. Not only that, it was fun to make! This is what I was born to do.

Technical Details

Made in Maya 6.5, rendered in Mental Ray 3.4 standalone. The puke mesh was done in RealFlow 3. The shaders on the characters are custom shaders designed to blur reflection more towards the angle facing you (so that there is less blurring towards the edges). They also reflect less on the angle facing you, like a Fresnel effect. It may not be very obvious, but an incredible amount of effort went into getting the characters' shaders to look the way I wanted. The L_Glass shader was used on the puke, and Maya Ramp shaders on the hearts. I reused the hearts from Almost Perfected and slightly edited them. There were no lights, only bright cubes illuminating the scene with Final Gathering. This is the first image I've ever used RealFlow, and I'm glad I learned how to use it! Until this image I had no use for it, but now I'll be able to create liquidy shapes in any render in the future.

The puke itself is the most incredible part of this image. The puke totalled out at over 1.8 million polygons!. Yeah, I'm a little bit of a detail nut . The puke calculation in RealFlow took something like 8 hours to compute on my dual Opteron machine, and I accidentally filled like 100 gigs worth of meshes and particle files doing that! Oops. Anyways, on to the pictures!

The tree was one of the things I spend ages on switching colors back and forth, testing different color moods and finally settling for the one I disliked most at the beginning.

Anyways, that one was the base for my homepage idea and I'm still happy I tried something different from my chubs inbetween.
The surface made me CRAZY. Arg...

I know I should be working on other things... BUT I've been craving to draw Izaya ever since he said "sushi love" (in ep 6) XD

So here it is, Izaya chilling with some sushi after a good day's work of cellphone stomping

If I were to make a motivational poster, it would say:
Izaya said "SUSHI LOVE". Your argument is invalid. XD

Speaking of seizures, I listened to this song [link] the entire time I drew it. I heard it was sung by a Japanese fan dubber who sounds just like Izaya and man, he can sing like crazy The lyrics (from what I can understand) is pretty funny, he mentions Shizu-chan and in the end he says "LOVE LOVE LOVE PEOPLE LOVE!!"

Then there's this song... [link] I'm not sure if it's by the same guy... but he says "fuwa fuwa ri, fuwa fuwa ru"!!! XD

Once upon a time, there was a boy on earth who liked a girl on the moon... He was good at making paper airplanes. She was suppose to put the stars up in the night sky. He was industrious and hardworking. She liked to take naps. This is their story of a long distance love.

My entry for the Multi-Monitor Mayhem contest~! I actually do use two monitors, but I don't have a multi-monitor wallpaper, which is kinda sad, so I wanted to draw something that could replace the flying giraffee [link] (my current wallpaper ^^). I've always liked the idea of having two related but different pictures on each monitor, so that's how the idea of a boy on earth and a girl in the sky came up. As for the long distance love idea--many of us live so far away from each other, and yet we can still communicate, share words and pictures and stories and bits and pieces of our lives with one another--all through the use of our computers. So with this wallpaper, I wanted a reminder of the computer (and sites like DA) as a way to form connections and relationships.

I wish I had a bit more time to spend on this, as the clouds are totally sucky and I would have liked to add in some more detail, but... had a plane to catch to NYC and I sure wasn't going to spend my spring break vacation staying inside and finishing up artwork. ^^ This was roughly sketched in my sketchbook, inked and colored mostly in Painter 7 and a bit of Photoshop CS2 with a wacom tablet. Hope you like!

Oh... and uh... full view to see the actual wallpaper. ^^ I just cut out the characters for the preview since the default preview would have been too small to see anything.

Never heard of her? Well this is Nitori Kawashiro She is just way to cute for words

Anyways, the inspiration for this came from this Youtube video: IOSYS: You Should Drink Cucumber Flavored Beer! The way that she is draw there is just so cute So I tried to emulate it with this background pack.

For this one I went with a minimalistic background and coloring technique. After all this is a wallpaper so it shouldn't intrude too much into your everyday activities. She is holding a cucumber and she looooves them apparently

So my friend was keen on the Love Bunnies series i made and she commissioned me to create these Love Cubs (tigers) as the symbolism of her and her husband. This was a birthday present from her which will be printed on a mug.

Here i adjusted the image for Wallpaper use. [1024 x 768]

This was created back in April, but i guess i never got around to post it. lol. This is the false image of the correct one I mean i colored it wrong. The brown tiger supposedly white and vise versa. The correct image has a white BG and is belonged to my friend.

Fell free to use this as your wallpaper. Do not modify, sell, or print it for commercial use without my consent. Thanks

NOTES

A lot of the wallpapers are actually 1280x960. This is because you can use these wallpapers on both 1280x960 as well as 1280x1024. Just make sure your background colour is set to black and center the wallpaper.

And just experiment with wallpaper settings because i'm pretty sure the few 1280x1024's can be used on a 1024x768 centered and without losing much vital bits ^^

There are only THREE 1440x900 seeing as i only threw them in at the last minute. But hey, you guys can still use the others to an extent Plus i threw in a minimalistic wallpaper that the other screen res's don't have.

FYI, all these wallpapers aren't for redistribution plzkthnx. I don't want to see them up for free grabs on random wallpaper sites and whatnot XB
