This was actually sculpted back in 2008 during his previous run. It was sculpted in a grey Chavant NSP Soft, which is a non-sulfur, non drying plasteline. It photographed kind of white under this light. I've learned a lot more about sculpting and taking pictures of them since I did this, so it's funny that this is the one that got picked.

to sum him up hes a presidential candidate and pretty much the only hope for America...

so im gonna vote for him and you should too if possible...

his ideals remind me alot of "V" and on November 5th he raised i think a little over 4 million dollars!! all from people who donated i think the max was $100...he's got alot of supporters from everywhere and i really hope he gets elected!!

Even though Barack Obama has failed to end the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, started military conflict in Libya, continuously extended the Patriot Act, authorized the assassination of American citizens, called for the prosecution of the growth and distribution of medical marijuana, created an economic stimulus that failed to stimulate the economy, and bailed out the banks and auto industries, Democrats would still vote for Obama rather than Ron Paul—even though he has opposed all of the above!

The reasons they have for hating Ron Paul are trivial at best. They argue that he is a Republican, even though he’s the sanest one in his party, and more anti-war and pro-civil liberties than any Democrat—including Obama! They argue that he doesn’t believe in evolution, which isn’t shocking in a country where only 39 percent do. They argue that he doesn’t believe in separation of church and state, even though he has opposed faith-based initiatives. They argue that he has “insane” and “radical” ideas like returning to the gold standard (because our current fiat currency is fairing so well!) and allowing states to set their own laws on abortion, gay marriage, and drugs—an idea based upon the Tenth Amendment.

In the end, there really is no excuse for not voting for Ron Paul. No one could reasonably compare Obama and Paul and decide that Obama was the better choice, unless, of course, they were the youthful ideologues who truly believed in his message of “Hope and Change”—even though the past term has seen very little hope or change. Of course, one can always give Obama another four years to see if such hope and change will eventually come about. My question is: can America survive for that long? ]]> [link]

Kind of an experiment with paper & pastel - I'm REALLY disappointed about this scan, it looks much better in person.

At the risk of opening a political can of worms, (especially coming from an Australian) can I just say that I've never heard a politician talking as much sense as Ron Paul, & as far as I'm concerned, the fact that he didn't become the U.S President is absolute tragedy.

Dr. Paul is the author of several books, including The Revolution: A Manifesto, End the Fed, Liberty Defined, Challenge to Liberty; The Case for Gold; and A Republic, If You Can Keep It. Because of this, they have also been inconsistent in their support of Conservative* economic policies.

Perhaps the most important issue facing us this election cycle is the fate of the Federal Reserve system; the "Fed" being allowed to manipulate interest rates through "open market operations" (buying or selling treasury securities using money which it creates out of thin air) is one of the biggest if not the single biggest factor which led to both the dot com and the housing bubbles.

Just as modern day Austrian economists predicted both of these bubbles, the Austrian economists of the 20th century predicted the 1929 stock market crash. John Maynard Keynes, on the other hand, was almost wiped out in the '29 crash, and again lost most of his wealth in the '37 crash. Keynes is, of course, the economist whose ideas form the backbone of our government's fiscal and monetary policy.

Sé que muchos no estarán de acuerdo al liberalismo tan "radical" que propone Ron Paul, pero eso no importa. Finalmente, me parece que su campaña, a pesar de que muy probablemetne no gane, puede ser la semilla del movimiento ideológico liberal libertario.

En cuanto al dibujo, me gustó mucho cómo me quedó, la verdad.

A true libertarian whose ideals have never been corrupted. It's a shame that in the whole word politicians like Ron Paul are very strange. Here in Mexico, for example, most of people don't know anything about libertarianism, and the so called liberals are only a bunch of statits.

Ron Paul's vision of goverment's role is near to what I'm sure is better for the individuals. Also, it's interesting that Paul is the only politician I've ever know in my life that adheres to the Austrian school of economics.

That's why I like Ron Paul, because he is Austrian, misean, pro free market, pro individualism and, of course, pro liberty. ]]>
