God Damn, Ray Lewis. He is like, how do you even describe him. He is like one of my favorite dudes in the NFL right now. Seriously. He's Terrifying and yet he never ceases to charm the pants off me. Like watching the Ravens VS Steelers Rivalry (an not being dedicated to one team) is incredible, Cause its such an intense rivalry and Lewis helps bring alot of that to the table. He is one scary dude, Watching him clothes line players is like watching a lion on National Geographic take down a buffalo. And watching him keep his team mates pumped, he like rallies his troops. I don't even care much for the Ravens as a team but I'd go to war for him!

And as scary and mean he is, and how much controversy is around him, he still is one of the most well spoken, polite, and great sports I've ever seen. I was watching the game today and he was trading jerseys with the other teams players and he's always out there talking with the other teams quarterbacks and just being a decent guy, he'll still call you out on the field but shake your hand in a heart beat after the game, and tell you how good you did. And he talks to the announcers and coaches with such respect, it's almost impossible for you not to be impressed by the guy. Every time I see him I love him even more. And even for you guys who don't watch football you've probably seen his Old Spice adds. Which are hilarious.

Even though my football season didn't quite make it into the playoffs, my Cowboys are hurting me, I'm enjoying watching the teams that are fighting for it now. I went to a sports bar the other day to watch Tebow and Brady face off and it was so much fun, I was almost deaf by the end of it though. XD and watching Lewis today made me just have to draw him. He's a cool dude, and I always enjoy seeing him.

This guy was a real treat to draw. It's a bit messy, but honestly I was only intending on doodling but he turned out to be way to amusing to draw, so I ended up atleast finishing it up. More artists should try to draw people they wouldn't normally, it's really fun and I'm enjoying drawing all the football dudes, just so many shapes and faces, So much fun and it's great for improving.

I dunno why I wrote all that only like 3 of you are going to even know who this is. 8P

Captain Ray Lewis is a retired member of the City of Philadelphia Police Department who engaged in a heroic act of civil disobedience, leading to his arrest, at an OWS action on November 17, 2011, in New York City. His words (quoted in the poster) stand as a testament to his integrity and as a challenge to all of those still sitting on the fence. This is my little gift to deviantArt, may we all improve in our equine art: one tiny section at a time.

This artwork was quite therapeutic. I got lots of things out of it and there are lots of uses for it:

I have successfully procrastinated for about an hour.
It was mainly a vent-art because I'm sick of learning about crap I already know at Uni. I'd rather be learning about Livestock Science, rather than "Producer to consumer" - oh well, I guess it's character building: I'm going to be the more knowledgable vet at the end of the day
I'm thinking of doing little 'X-rays' of various parts of the equine anatomy for a few reasons:
- to learn about anatomy, drawing by drawing
- to help you guys out
- to give myself diagrams for later on when I get to the Vet course, so I can spend more time doing more important things
- to already know it
- other random reasons

Other than that, I really like how it turned out. I assumed, based on x-rays I'd seen in the past that the lighter a part of the x-ray is, the denser it is. So basically, this entire piece is based off of that.

Feel free to critique if you know about equine anatomy, don't waste time by writing suggestions, if they're not backed. This is science, not a conglomerate of ideas. ~nerdy poo~

I should mention that I'm not [yet] a vet, I put the text in the bottom right corner for a bit of self amusement.

_{The original for this was sketched at some silly hour in the morning, which means no reference was used. As for the colouration, I used common sense. No images were "referenced" from. It says it's a photograph taken, because I took a picture of the sketch: scanner's back at college.

Lewis was born sometime in the early eighteenth century, he was a normal, middle-class man. In many ways, Lewis was an oddity among his peers. He was an idealist scholar who believed in looking to the future instead of being dominated by the past. Lewis was a very curious man, and tested a lot of theories, proving most wrong (but of course never speaking of his studies), until he stumbled across a ritual for summoning a demon. Of course, curious, he preformed the ritual and a demon appeared before him; he was surprised, of course, but glad as well. He challenged the demon and it's prowess, tempting it to do something that would prove how strong it was -- after hours spent with the demon, it finally offered Lewis a deal: trade his soul in for immortality. Lewis, who at the time had no belief in souls, accepted the deal. The demon traded Lewis his soul for the gift of immortality. After that day, Lewis went missing, no one had heard from him, until he reappeared in the year 2000. He was quite wealthy man by then, being an hitman for the past 200 years -- he traveled to Thailand nine years later, and met a young man named Sian, and a boy named Alex. Sian was the head of north mafia in that city, and offered Lewis the position of right-hand man; he accepted and started working alongside Sian and Alex (Sian's close associate). No know knows of his immortality, no one living, that is.

Brief Personality and Behavior:
Lewis is a very intelligent man and is able to stay composed in the most difficult situations. He has a rather solitary and matter-of-fact attitude. Lewis has low blood pressure and hates people who procrastinate.
Lewis also has a tendency to not use lethal force in battle, especially if he can win without doing so, completely confident in combat. Instead, he will simply incapacitate or immobilize his opponent.
Yet despite being a man of peace, if pushed into a corner Lewis is more than capable of killing anyone who threatens him or his friends.
Being immortal, Lewis has a set of abilities and perks, being; eternal life (biologically and physically) and quickened regeneration (able to regrow limbs and heal own wounds). Reviving from death however seems to be even more painful for Lewis than dying itself, the same goes for healing wounds, and has greatly contributed to the deterioration of his sanity.

A little tribute I thought I would do in honor of the Baltimore Ravens and number 52 himself.

As we all know, Baltimore won Superbowl XLVII. Even though I'm a diehard Redskins fan (the 495 Beltway team), this game was nevertheless in an of itself a very special one for a lot of NFL fans. What a great way for Ray Lewis to cap off a long and stellar pro football career, going to be a little hard getting used to not seeing 52 in the Ravens' defensive backfield.

You had an unbelievable career, Ray. Best of luck to you and your family.

News just broke on the passing of Ray Bradbury. Perhaps one of the greatest Writers out there.

I had the honor to first meet Ray Bradbury at LOSCON 1985. Equine The Uncivilized was just recently published and I headed out to Pasadena to sell at the con.

There was a huge crowd around a table as I was waiting for business, and sorta pushed my way through the crowd, seeing this gentleman signing books.

I thrust my hand before his face, Ray at first looked stunned, then reached up and shook my hand where I then said...

"Michael Jackson, I loved the Thriller Album!!!"

Ray looked completely shocked as I grinned and walked off, amid a confused band of Bradbury fans equally puzzled at what I said.

A couple hours later I am at my table, drawing a commission when a meaty hand got thrust in my face, I looked up, it was Ray Bradbury.

Ray said "Huey Lewis!! Loved the Sports Album!!

We both laughed at our silliness. Then I mentioned that I wish I known he'd be at the con, I have him sign my copy of Fahrenheit 451. Ray then suggested I look in the dealersroom for a copy.

No luck, not a single Bradbury book anywhere. I told this to Ray, then he said "I know a small bookshop nearby, lets go look for a copy!!"

Ray Bradbury and I then walked out and to this small used book shop, and found exactly one Bradbury book for sale, "The Illustrated Man".

Ray then signed it "To Huey Lewis, From Michael Jackson...aka Ray Bradbury". I laughed at this and we both had lunch at a Subway sandwich shop together. Then back to the con.

For years, everytime I saw Ray I would greet him "Michael Jackson, hows it going?" And Ray would greet back "Doing Great Huey Lewis!!"

And anybody around us would look confused and bewildered. But we didn't care, it was our private joke.

I haven't seen Ray in well over a decade, but will always remember that day at LOSCON 85.

One day, Reina was playing at a park, sitting alone on a swing crying as she had just learned they would be moving yet again. At that same moment, Ralamon had just entered from the digital world, in search of a partner. She saw Reina's distress and went to comfort her. Reina hid Ralamon away from her father for a few years, afraid of what he might think. It was easier than she thought it would be, as he was rarely home. Crystal Ray: A beam of red energy blasts from her crystal.

Riptide Roar: She opens her eyes begins to spin, spending water from her feathers and slicing through whatever is in her way.

Song of the Sea: Rusalkamon plays a song with her harp that lures her prey in, then once they are close enough, she summons up a powerful hurricane and thrusts them into it.
