I drew this in pchat, and oh my gosh, this took 4 hours!!!
(lol I was in there for 5 hours; 20 minutes for putting pieces of the picture together in photoshop and I had to be away for 40 minutes)
It took so long but the result is just....llorz
I feel like my hands are getting slower every time I draw dfjlksdjfklserwenw

Anyway.. durrr.. I don't actually want it to snow lol I just wanted to draw something with 'Falling snow' as the theme. This picture is now my wallpaper because I just felt like it :9

The Snow Queen

She comes when everything goes
She reigns when everything dies

She is the Snow Queen. To some people, she is a cold hearted witch. Didn't anyone ever think that she may infact be lonely inside? What if she cried a tear for every leaf that falls? Would we know? Would we care? What if we are the witches in her eyes? Pity the Snow Queen. Misjudged by mortals.

First of all, yes I'm a sluggish! The working time is about 4 hours. Started cutting the scan. After, rebuilding the edge of girl's bag because there was a "finger" there. e_e Also put more snow to stay cute *-* (?), more trees and branches also (scattered by the train lines). After I removed the snowflakes that were scattered around the girl (she is under the roof of the station, like why its snowing there?). Also changed the colors (to be less blue), painted part of the train line, changed levels, contrast, wrote in the mountains "You come like winter snow, quiet soft and slow. Falling from the sky in the night, to the earth bellow "

The longer I stay here, the more dead I feel.

This piece is a lot more complicated than it looks. Each "portrait" showing the same character slowly looking more dead was drawn and painted with ink and watercolor individually, then cut out. The background is actually patterned card stock which was distressed with charcoal to look like wallpaper, and then the individual portraits were traced and outlined in charcoal to give the appearance of dust, kind of creating the feeling of a nasty old wall in a haunted house. The portraits are only taped on so in person it gives them kind of a 3D appearance in comparison to the background. It's kind of hard to appreciate because the scanner really didn't like the contrast between the paintings and the background.

Some nice personal angsty art. For a while I was avoiding posting all the stuff like this I did, but then I realized that this is my page and I don't give a fuck. Yep.

it's near to december and..... i probably going back to my usual snow-madness-december-coz-i-don't-get-to -have-a-damn-snow-weather-here-since-i-l ive-near-to-the-sht00pid-equator XD;; mood.

Inspired from the melodies of Lacus Clyne's song, Shizukana Yoruni. Something about that song kinda gives me the mood to do this. Plus i'm intimidated when i see how well the original artist of Gundam Seed draw and color that looks like just the anime self itself.

Yep, this is the twin siblings, Kira and Cagalli (from Gundam Seed.. just in case someone will jump up and say who the heck they are). Kinda suits as a wallpaper or something eh?

This took me a while, one: Because when I was working on the background, I really had no idea what I was doing! Two: I was listening to "Waiting for the world to fall" By Jars of Clay. And I got inspired to do more.. It was also snowing when I was making this.

While listening to "Waiting for the World to Fall" I got this picture of Yuki and Machi (Incase you don't know who Machi is.. then.. wait to read more.. you will find out) in my head.. so I was like "What the heck..." and went with them plus Kyo and Tohru! XD

Sorry, that one word could have me killed by people who don't know anything about that character in Fruits Basket.

So, I hope you all enjoy this! I had fun making it.. and I kinda wanted to go with the simple Grey and white sorta thing. I Haven't ever done that before.

I had the feeling to use Butterflies instead of snow XD I hope you like it!

Is anyone else dying to see this movie? After reading more than one review that indicates that not only is this movie enjoyable and beautiful -- more importantly, it's apparently clean. The costumes look excellent from the images I've seen so far, and I'm hoping the music is good (and period-esque enough) to justify purchasing a soundtrack.

Hence my sudden urge to plaster the promotional images (in this case, Abbie Cornish clad in a lovely pink as John Keats' real-life love interest Fanny Brawne) across my desktop...LOL! So I thought I'd share with everyone else, just in case there exists another hopeful desirous of becoming a fan! (Fingers crossed that it'll be better than the last Regency biopic travesty...coughBecomingJanecough...)

Oh, and the "fitting quote du jour" for this WP also happens to be the source of the film's title.

This actually was made for a contest I am participating in right now at a forum I belong to, its a christmas card contest and I liked how it came out so much that I decided to make it into a wallpaper, with the permission of the owner of the forum of course, the christmas tree image is hers. The resolution is 1200x900 so its alittle larger then all my others but it still fits just fine on a 1024x768 resolution so dont worry

It just looked so cute I HAD to make it into a wallpaper lol.

There's snow here and it put me in the mood for winter-related drawings. Also, Christmas is coming soon and even though i don't really like holidays -for their true purposes have been lost- i still look forward to seeing my family and friends, especially my cousin, whose cancer treatments will be over on the 23 of December. I am so glad she's finally done with this.

As i said in another deviation, the place where my characters live don't really have snow in winter and there's no way Azael could possess the clothes you see on him. They don't celebrate Christmas either. Anyway, i love to dress them in clothes they would never wear in their original environment.

Sad Dita in Snow

Title inspired by Fred Gallagher's Sad Girl in the Snow/Sad Kimiko in Snow piece.

Yep, this is the piece I've been cooking up these past weeks; since I was going for something heavily based on a similar Half-Life 2 promo artwork of Gordon Freeman, it took me quite a long while to brainstorm the whole thing. But now here it is, my latest artwork of the Half-Life incarnation of my beloved Dita Landucci looking rather melancholy, walking in the streets of a ruined City 17, and with the snow starting to fall.
And yes, the snow in my artwork reflects the fact that the winter/Christmas season is nigh.

By the way, aside from adding a little bit of transparent white over the picture to get that subtle hazy winter effect, I also used the gradient and the Gaussian blur tools in a rather clever manner to get the "foreground blurring into the background" effect here. It's not quite evident, but yes, it's there.

Can be used as a wallpaper, but beware of the extremely high resolution/file size when downloading.

Koosah Falls (Willamette National Forest, Oregon USA) on a chilly January day! Only a tiny bit of green was visible on the tree branches beneath the snow, so I converted it to grayscale.

NOTE: When displayed at its default size, the photo may appear a bit "soft". FULL VIEW is highly recommended for better appreciation of detail.

I should start off right away by saying that Gardevoir is property of Nintendo and this picture doesn't exactly reflect the thinking and ideals of it's creator... and this is entirely my work, and I would appreciate it if you didn't steal work (especially my work), that isn't yours.

Now that is over and done with, now on to the part where I ramble on a bit...

So basically this was a request from someone in Embrace, which I had the criteria of making this as a wallpaper with the following conditions:
-it had to be 1024x768
-it had to have Gardevoir dressed in a soviet uniform
-the flag had to be fading out
-it had to be a snowy scene
-Gardevoir had to be holding an AK-74m

... this was a lot to ask for, but I figured I really needed a good challenge and I would have more than enough time anyways.

What I got initially was a good slap in the face on how badly I manage my own time and how I need to discipline myself for my art. What should of only taken a week took about a week and a half, and only the last few days being when I actually got serious about sitting down and actually doing it.

Oh well... you live and you learn. Then you get snow.

My First Real Fall

Coming from California, this is really my first real fall in Cambridge. I love the color of the leaves and the wind, but I hate the rain and the snow. Also the leaves really helps flood the place.

About:
I used 3 diferent images to make this, the picture nº 1,5 and 6 of the Mountains Pack 3, I blended all together to make only one. Lately my computer has been failing, is getting hot and shut down by itself,and sometimes I've lost projects in photoshop because of this, later the program doesn't want to open the file because is damaged. So what im doing is save the file with another name as a backup, so if my laptop shut down and i lose the file, I always have a previuos file,so in this way i dont have to star from nothing.

And do you know what? All the psd files of this Wallpaper weigh 2,16 GB!!!

Yuki no you ni -- Wallpaper

I was browsin' on DA, and decided a lot of people out there were a lot better than me T_T and so I tried some new techniques in this piece, including thin lines, a sketchy style, and a format and a "look" visualized from the beginning. This elf isn't really meant to represent anybody (or even a gender! o.O), but just a face I could whip out quickly. I tried more realistic hair than I'm used to drawing (kinda like Death Note's Light, although I didn't use any references of him, or anybody.)

The Japanese says "Yuki no you ni; tada shizuka ni" which is a line from Full Moon wo Sagashite 2nd ending song, "Eternal Snow" -- really the only thing offhand I could think of that has to do with snow (It means "Like snow, falling quietly" or something like that) -- a good song, by the way, my favorite from that show anyway.

This was my first serious attempt at something..... well, serious -- so comment please!! Tell me what I could improve in stuff for the future, or even if you think I should make more stuff like this. Everything helps!

I'm not sure if it is supposed to be anyone in particular, If it was I'm sorry! If not, I did Not take the liberty to make it into a specific character either. So I guess that is all good!

I know the original sketch was supposed to be a Bird's eye view, but as things progresses this is how it ended out.

EDIT: Yes, I know that Odette and Anastasia aren't from Disney. Next time I'll be sure to put it in my description.
