PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THIS NOTE: The marks from the corset are meant to be there. That's why the picture is called "Marked: Monochrome", referring to the marks and the tone. =essie-morbide wanted to try out her (then) new corset, and when she took it off afterwards I saw and captured this. Now the fastest land animal in the world is losing its most important race: the race for survival. At the turn of the 20th century, an estimated 100,000 cheetahs lived throughout Africa and in parts of the Middle East and Central Asia. Today there are just 7,500 cheetahs left and South Africa is home to fewer than 1,000 of these majestic cats ([link]) .

Photo taken April 2009. Close-up of a tiny Hepatica blossom (in this area everyone calls them "Mayflowers"). I love these beautiful little flowers, they're so dainty and delicate. They bloom abundantly in the Spring, in the woods out by the Dam, beginning anywhere from March though June, depending on the winter.

This tutorial started life as a news article in November 2007. Since it's submission until now (April 09) the article has been fav'd/loved/whatever-it's-called almost 500 times which I figure means that people are finding it useful. Since tutorials submitted as deviations are easier to bookmark (using the favs and collections feature), I finally got around to submitting this as a deviation. And it only took me a year and a half!

The description of this deviation will always contain links to the illustrated news articles, so people can easily find them if they want to.

Originally I planned these photos to be in color because of the beautiful color of the brick and Jess is a natural red-head. Finally though I did a black & white version that I like even more.

What do you think?

For the 20 years I shot film, black and white was associated with art photography. I processed my own film and printed my own enlargements. I think it will always have that association for me.

Geeeze... I'm so uncommunicative these days, I'm really really sorry. One could say it's because off xmas stress and stuff, but that's not the whole truth. I'm just lazy and relaxing at home when I'm not at university because I really need it. But as I just cannot pause from my hobbies, even if I try, I'm already making plans like mad for the next cosplay season. I didn't want to do it XD But I can't help it.

Anyway, we got a new TV (lcd/flatscreen/32") and finally our living room looks muuuuch better, because the old TV was HUGE and UGLY and BAD. And the ne wone can be connected to my notebook and I can watch all of my favorite videos in real highquality on TV. That's so kick-ass! I need to watch FMA Brotherhood all over again like that! XD Also Gazette PVs *-* And AMVs *-*

We also got a new living-room heater the day before yesterday. FINALLY! It really makes a difference because our living room is WARM in winter for the first time. (which means more than 19° Celsius on full power) And the new one looks so much better. (we live in a really old building, thus the heaters look like it)

And I just wonder why I always write journal entries in my deviation comments XD Damnit!

So yes, i simply couldn't pry my hands off the camera. I decided to bring along just the lightweight Canon 30d & kit lens for this shoot, since i have a load of Kou's costume to lug around.
And no, the Canon isn't mine, although i stole it from a relative to play for awhile.
