I think Twilight needs to get out of there... don't you? She seems to be running into danger a lot lately.

Okay, so it's not the next Haunted Mansion portrait, but hey, it's cool. I just couldn't resist putting it off to do this.

This was incredibly fun, all the detail was a pain in the butt, though totally worth it. Frazzled Twilight is great, and I've been looking for a way to use that face. XD

ALIEN is going to be the opening to another series of pictures, "The Great Movie Ponies" inspired by The Great Movie Ride at Walt Disney World's MGM studios. (I will always call it that) If you want to see the others that are upcoming, I have them listed out in my Journal. I'm also up for suggestions, if you have a movie that you think I should do. ^^

This picture is of course based on the Pirates of The Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest movie posters. It's already my fifth pony movie poster parody, so I think I'll start including humans in my art once again, on the following weeks.

This drawing was a bit of an experiment, combining my typical anime style, and the style I used to draw ponies with. It's up to you to tell me if I should keep on practicing and using this specific style in the future.

This was drawn with water soluble color pencils, and finished with white gel pen.

I didn't write the actual title on the banner, due to the fact that it would've ruined everything in my opinion. Maybe it could be used to place the title of a fanfic? I dunno.

The Lord of The Ponies - The Friendship of Equestria

As you probably guessed, this picture is based on the movie poster of The Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of The Ring. I took some creative liberties, so this isn't an exact copy of the original poster, but the composition is about the same.

This is the third ponified movie poster I've made so far, after Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I've got more ideas than I have time to draw, so I dunno what'll come next.

This was drawn by hand with water soluble colour pencils, and finished with white gel pen.

- This work started off back in June as a platform for me to test out heaps of different brushes I've collected. I always wanted to draw a Samurai Predator.
Therefore was never intended to be submitted; but I've added stuff incrementally over the past months or so and for some reason it started to shape up into a potential art. So decided to really make something out of it eventually.

- The Ponies derived from practice sketches - I almost had a commission drawing them, but good thing it didn't panned out because it starts to give me mental tribulation. No guys in his mid twenties should be subjected to this...

- My Little Pony aficionados, just chill; no real ponies was harmed in the making. It's just a spoof. I can't help myself but to pursue this nagging visualization, it's the reason I draw in the first place.

Children of Ponies

Ponies crossed with my favourite film. If you don't know what this is, it's a ponified scene from Children of Men. If you have seen the film you'll probably notice I've left out something from this scene. I left it out because I didn't want to have to put a mature rating on this or at least wanted it to be fine for all ages.

I was going to use a Zebra as that would fit the movie better but then realised it had to be contained within a single species for it to really work. So I chose Derpy.

By the way, someone should make a cross over fic of this story.

Disney's Atlantis Ponies

I just love the animation for this movie. While working on this at some point I was looking for the quotes I have written and I just looove the animation of Milo and his mannerisms. If I remember correctly from the commentary, the animators tried to really base him on the motions that M J Fox was using while voicing Milo

The biggest difference between this and previous My Little Pony art I've done is that I tried to imitate the disney's Atlantis Animation, particularly with each character's eyes... how'd I do? Oops, I just noticed that I gave Kida pupils but not Audrey *quickly CGs in some pupils for Audrey*

And of course credit for the cute pose goes to my sister: *RogueDragon cuz I just couldn't get it to look right. (I ended up going to the next page of my sketchbook, Whitemore ended up going where they were).

Kidas skin-to-tattoo color didn't work out so well.
Inspiration for drawing Packard comes from a pony for a meme I haven't submitted yet, that my sister drew (she's awesome!) I actually looked up a horse skeleton for drawing her... other than that they're pretty much anatomically incorrect, lol!
Cookie's butt symbol is supposed to be Bacon, a bean, a glass of whiskey and lard...
Sweet's medical bag doesn't have a red cross on it in the movie... I just drew it like that to help identify it and make him look more doctor-y.
Mole's ankle symbol is what I would have given him on his butt had I included that in the picture.
I think Rourke is one of my all time favorite Disney Villains...
I totally failed to come up with a good quote for Kashkim (or whatever the king's name is).

The quotes are all from the movie if you can't read them. I only fixed a couple typos on the computer...

Now I want to see a My Little Pony movie (live action or animated).

Here's a wallpaper concept I worked on over the weekend. I was fiddling around with changing hair colors when the idea struck me. It took some searching, but I found pictures of actresses with similar hair styles to the mane 6 ponies.

Also, I should point out that Rainbow Dash's pink eyes are beautiful. When I started this, I was nervous it wouldn't work.

What if Princess Luna got a prequel TV movie?
These sort of things play in my head. How did Luna get locked into the moon for a thousand years? Why does she want eternal night? Why was her second arrival so suspiciously ignored by Princess Celestia...her own sister?
How did Luna become Nightmare Moon?

I saw the Familiar Faces review of G4 Ponies was actually intended by Lauren Faust early in development to be a much more mature show. Certainly its current incarnation is kid friendly, but that doesn't leave out the potential for action.

Imagine, if you're crazy as me, the origin of the feuding goddesses, Luna being slighted by Celestia with governance over the moon alone, perhaps Luna seeing the newly established Ponyville being shadowed by her sister's authority...
Then resistance...and rebellion.

Lord of the Ponies

How can the world be made a better place? Ponies!
So I thought it's my duty as a proud brony to help with this ponyfication [if thats a word], but there to start? Some days ago I had the idea: Lord of the Rings.
So I made this comic.

Please don't hate me for not renaming the races. I actually wanted to make Human Earthponies, Elves Pegasus, Magicians Unicorn, Orcs DiamondDogs, Dwarfs Buffaloes and Hobbits Fillies, but that didn't worked out, since there isn't enough Buffalostuff. At least the DiamondDog part worked .

I also planned to make this with the whole book, but it took me awful long [3,5 days] to do this and it only covers the first 5 minutes of the movie . So I'm not sure if I will continue.

Well anyway, since this is the biggest piece I ever made [about 300 Layers] I would be very grateful if you would post a comment and tell me if you liked it and how I could make it better.

Unstoppable Ponies

Since almost every My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic movie spoof has been done and been extremely funny, I thought I'd do one that hasn't been done yet - which is my number one favorite film: Tony Scott's f-ing awesome Unstoppable So, this is just for kicks and my attempts to make better spoofy movie posters BTW, I'd like to thank dearly and for making the appropriate Twilight and AJ vectors: [link] [link]
Anyway, I couldn't really think of anyone other than Twilight Sparkle to portray Denzel Washington's Frank Barnes, being that everything should be done by the book or by experienced instincts, and do the right thing.
Applejack seemed best for Will Colson being an Earth pony, 'cause it seems ridiculous if winged Rainbow Dash was and could've just flown to 777's cab.... Besides, AJ is the more underrated Mane 6 pony, and she and Twilight seem to get along best
For the others, Rarity would definitely be yardmaster Connie Hooper, Fluttershy as Will's wife Darcy, Snips and Snails as hostlers Dewey and Gilleece, and I guess Pinkie Pie as welder Ned and Rainbow Dash as engineer Judd.
Pretty happy with the otucome, hope you all like it as well

Also, I am not a factory. Each pony takes at least 6 hours worth of work, often times more. I have many commissions, as well as a full time job. I'm sorry, I wish I could make one for everyone, but I don't have vampire superpowers. If someone can talk Jasper into biting me and helping me out.....

Months ago when the release date for the 4th and final book in the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer was announced, I started the planning work on these girls.
The Twilight saga is a series of fictional books about vampire love, that I for one, can't get enough of <3
I based the ponies on the book covers, sculpting each of the main symbols to represent each book (i had to wait until the 4th book cover was released to finalize all this) Twilight's apple, New Moon's flower, Eclipse's broken ribbon, and Breaking Dawn's queen chess piece. But I wanted each pony to include all of the books as well. so the other representations were painted.
(all done in acrylic)
Their golden eyes are representative of our favorite 'vegetarian' family
The symbol on the NDS I added as a last minute whim. Its the Cullen family crest created for the upcoming movie version of the first book Twilight! (Dec 12!)
The hair is 8 colors from dollyhair, each chosen to represent the 8 main vampire/human characters (if you want to think of the black as the wolfs/Jacob...fine)
'black magic' for Alice, 'gingerbread' for Jasper, ' pumpkin pie' for Edward, 'espresso' for Bella, 'chocolate fudge' for Emmett, 'sunlight' for Rosalie, 'goldilocks' for Carlisle, and 'butterscotch' for Esme.
they each have their own 'bella bracelet' *sparkle*
I met my goal and had these girls done for the release of the book (August 2) and they went to the midnight release part with me

Cinemassacre as Ponies

During the first Everfree Northwest, which was my first MLP:FiM convention, I got to met a lot of fellow artists and one of them made a bunch of "Parody drinks" that really caught my eyes. One of them is called "Rolling Tom" which is a parody of "Rolling Rock". As you probably noticed, Rolling Rock is the signature beer for the Angry Video Game Nerd.

This gave me the idea to draw a fanart of The Angry Video Game Nerd as a pony with Rolling Tom. However, upon seeing Mike Matei getting some flak by some ungrateful fools out there for posting filler contents (while James is working on the AVGN movie). I scrapped my original idea.

I wanted to pay a tribute to all four of them who are responsible for bring us so much laughter. Kyle for the theme song, Mike for all the things he does, Kevin for being the awesome Ninja & Glitch Gremlin. So this is the result.

I've secretly always wanted to draw MLP fanart >u> ...I could recite the movie word for word when I was little. he he

I wanted to draw something really different where I could use my imagination though, so I went for the 'somewhat more realistic magical fawn-like sparkly horsey look'.

I've watched a few of the recent episodes, I like the characters, how it's animated and the modern feel to it. But it kind of bugs be how with every generation they become less and less pony like. :S ...and then I go and draw them looking like deer. THE IRONY. D:

This ponies represent the four elements. When I did them, I had the movie "The fifth element" in mind, which explain the cutie marks. When I finished the picture, I thought about avatar, so I put some alternative cutie marks in the middle, but the choice is totally up to you, and I can put something else.

I really love this four girls. At first, I draw them just for fun, but I really spent a lot of time on the design, and I'm pretty proud of how it turned!

For their names, I have thought about "Cloudia" for the air one and "Scinthya" for the water-one (because of the French Piscine which mean swiming-pool), but it's totally up to you!

Twinkle-Eyed Ponies: Earthlings

Welp, here's the last one. The Twinkle-Eyed Earth Ponies. From the left to the right: Sweet Stuff and Gingerbread.

Not quite happy with this one, but I dunno why that is. I think it's probably to do with the fact that the previous pictures had three ponies in, not just two.
The title 'Earthlings' makes me giggle, but I watched the movie for pose references and that was what Spike referred to Baby Lickety-Split as in My Little Pony: The Movie, so I rolled with it. I'm hoping it's right, but whichever.

A big thing with the Twinkle-Eyed earth ponies was that there are actually three others: Bright Eyes, Tic-Tac-Toe and Quackers. The problem this time was that the latter two actually were in the series. But, they weren't Twinkle-Eyed ponies; they were First Tooth Babies without twinkle-eyes.
I thought long and hard about it, but decided to leave them out. I do love Tic-Tac-Toe and Quackers' colour-schemes though, so I may well end up drawing them eventually just for the sake of it.

Hey, remeber the new ponies I promised you?

New ponies.

This is a present for a very good friend of mine who is movig to Vermont soon, and loves Lord of the Rings and Ponies. So I combined the two.

I wanted to come up with poni-fied names for all of them, but after "Gandalf Greymane" I got stuck. Halp? EDIT: ~RaenBoow came up with Pegolas and Boro-mare, though we're not sure about that last one. and now there's also Gimlicorn. Keep going people!

If there is something more adorable than hobbit-ponies, I don't want to know what it is, because I'll die of cute overdose.

I figured that the dwarves would be unicorns in order to do all that smithing stuff, and the Elves would be Pegusai in order to get up into their beloved trees. Humans/psuedogod wizards are whatever.

I like to imagine Bill the Pony is off to the side, still carrying all thier crap, and going "WTF?"

Is is bad that my favorite part of this whole thing is the lettering? Because I'm f*cking proud of that.

Time: About twenty hours, but most of that was re-doing the original sketch and watching the movies for color references.

FINALLY!!! I'm finally drawing something other than ponies! XD

For those of you who either don't remember this line of work I do or only recently watched me for the ponies, this is Sentinel Prime from Transformers: Dark of the Moon, but in the style from the show Transformers Animated. It's funny cuz he's in TFA too, but he looks a lot different, yet he's a really big jerk in that show too! (although he isn't a traitor and doesn't kill Ironhide!) I've done a few other movie characters in the TFA style, but I've improved a whole lot since the last time! I have Derrick J. Wyatt to thank for this style.

Well, I had this sketched out a long time ago back when I got my leader class Sentinel Prime figure and I wanted to try lining it in Sai at first, but that didn't work out too well. So I just finished lining it in Paint like I usually do and then colored it in there too. I then used Paint.net to get rid of the background and put gradients on his windshield halves, eyes, and shoulder strobe lights.

I really like how this came out! It's kinda based on the toy in being that he has the rear skirt piece and the water nozzle loaded on his back and the strobe lights being visible. I also didn't give him the little beads on his beard "hairs", those looked kinda weird so I went with this. Plus, when I drew this, I didn't even know he had those, they're barely even visible on the toy. No sword or shield either, sorry.

Yeah, I kinda wanna get back on track with this stuff I used to do. Too all my bronies out there, don't worry, I still love the ponies too!

It's movie night at the Doo's home (or the Hooves' based on your preference). Dinky invited Pipsqueak and Ditzy invited Rainbow Dash to help chaperone and eat snacks (and nothing more! <_<) while they watch scary monster movies.

Dinky seems to really be enjoying herself while Pip seems to be scared. Maybe he'll have to hug her when things get too scary? XD

And Ditzy brought the popcorn! Enough for...everypony in town I think. She just doesn't know what went wrong!

Ask Movie Slate - SUNSHINE

Update drawn for my Ask Pony Blog "Ask Movie Slate" focused around the 2006 Danny Boyle movie "Sunshine".

Despite my gripes with it (that whole crazy guy sub-plot that comes out of left field) "Sunshine" is probably one of the best sci-fi movies ever made, with a very smart take on space traveling and really good acting. The plot is rather silly, but it's a movie where everybody involved ends up being a hero.

So of course, I had to draw Princess Celestia showing what the true power of the Sun is. It's so powerful it has melted her crown and necklace and she flaps her wings, naked, keeping Movie Slate and her camera safe from the engulfing flames of the solar giant.

Friday night means Do America night! I was about to watch Do America, when I started making popcorn for my fellow ponies, I heard laughing and shouting coming from my room. I walked in there, and some of my ponies were partying on the bed! Derpy fell down, but she didn't seem to mind at all! I told everypony to stop and I was about to start the movie, but they still wouldn't settle down! Well, maybe when I start it, they'll settle down. That's all.

Week 37 - A pony movie poster

Pinky and Cranky are a lot like the characters from Up. You have a bitter curmudgeon and someone that is obnoxiously nice and tenacious. The latter tries to befriend the former and only after much difficulty succeeds.

This was one of the first ideas I had though the angle that I had to draw Cranky's house at almost made me pick some other movie.

I'm kind of amazed that no one else in the group beat me to this parody.

Teehee, once I heard what this week's theme on #MLP-ATG-Alumni was, I couldn't resist doing this.

What are Luna SPARKs?

I'd like to thank for creating the idea of a pony-style Special Forces unit. He officially called them the Luna Special Tactics Squadron, but I wanted to shorten it to a simple word I guess... so I figured SPARK (which, I guess sounds kinda like Special Tactics Squadron rolled up into one word) ... so, yeah, Luna SPARKs... like it?
