I'm one of those people who read the books after watching the movie. I liked it, but after reading the books, I can say I'm absolutely in love. Peeta and Katniss are my favourite, I ship them so much.

My personal favorite Hunger game character, Peeta Mellark!

i identified a lot with Peeta!! Except for the whole being able to move a crowd with his words thing (I AM PETRIFIED OF PEOPLE >.>), Peeta and I are much alike!! We are both artists!! We both like to cook (I'm no baker though)!! And well. . . .I love him!!

Ok Ok I'm totally man-crushing on Peeta!! oh well, sue me!

So, here is how i saw Mr. Mellark in my head while reading. The movie version of Peeta was. . .okay. I thought that Josh Hutcherson did a great job playing him, even though he looks nothing like how i imagined Peeta. I like josh. He made me cry during "Bridge to Terabithia"(...what?! <.<). But Peeta's character didn't seem as likable in the film as he was while i was reading the books.

DISTRICT 12 TRIBUTES!!

Very quick pencil sketch I did a few days ago of how I imagine Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games. I liked the book even though I thought the writing style was nothing special - it was so flat and emotionless - but I can't deny it was an action-packed plot with lots of juicy characters/scenes. (I think it'd make a great movie. Although there's already Battle Royale...)

Also, Team Peeta plz. Although he's not my favorite male character - I'm completely in love with Finnick and I need to draw him asap.

Katniss and Peeta~ <3 First off, this picture... is very awkward as always and I have no clue what's going on with Peeta's legs. ): I really should start planning ahead of time. I dunno where this sketch came from, because as much as I love the Hunger Games, I have never really been able to draw proper fan art.
Anyway, So much angst. Katniss is upset(as usual) and Peeta is there for her. He is also shirtless. xP

I've been interested in the Hunger Games trilogy for quite some time, but I never got the chance to actually buy and read the book. Last week I went to the theatre with my sister, and saw the upcoming Hunger Games movie trailer, it gave me goosebumps, and I instantly fell in love with the characters. I am especially happy because Josh Hutcherson will be playing Peeta Mellark in the movie, and I think the role suits him very well.
I finally bought the book earlier today and started reading a few chapters, I am enjoying it so far, and I couldn't resist drawing a fanart of Peeta. I really like his character, he's really sweet and caring, but strong and brave at the same time.

For this drawing I referenced a picture of Josh, but I changed his hair so it's longer and looks a lot more like Peeta. I also intended the pose and color palette to be similar to the original illustration of Peeta for the books, but in my version, I made it more realistic instead of cartoony. I hope you guys will like it. Comments and faves are highly appreciated! I love to hear what you think..

I can't wait till the movie comes out!!

I've seen a lot of Peeta fan art here on deviantart. But I haven't seen any at all that depict him when he is painting, as a kind of therapy after the 74th Hunger Games. So I took it upon myself to make one. Apparently he had a real talent for painting and the images he created were very powerful.

I tried to make him look a little older than previous drawings of him, since this is after the Hunger Games took place. I also gave him a haircut. He needed one.

To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed.

We configured this photo as if it were Peeta taking his turn keeping watch while Katniss got some shut eye. We reversed it for another photo.

I am totally dedicating this to !!!
It was because of this picture , that I was introduce to The Hunger Games

I remember seeing that picture and saying "Aw... I LOVE Harry, Jace, and Percy! And who the heck is Peeta? Funny name...like pita bread."_{which is now ironically funny.} I then decided to check out the book and ended up finishing the entire trilogy in about a week!! *sigh* good times... good times.

Wanted to do a traditional piece but Epic fail
This is sooo edited in PS that I feel like I have to put it in digital. Oh well... :\

Anyway, I think both characters came out real nice Tell me what you think!

I finished Peeta awhile ago, just couldn't think of a symbol for him. But I figured a painted dandelion with hearts makes sense.

Peeta is a wonderful character, full of warmth and kindness, yet realistically cruel at times. And he's an artist after all, so what's not to love?

Time: 5-6 hrs
Tools: openCanvas 4.06 and PS CS3

I flipped the original image to match the rest of the portraits I've drawn with the symbol on the right, and it doesn't look half bad so I'm happy. Enjoy!

So I just finished "The Hunger Games" trilogy the other day and I am so in love with those books! So what do you do when you love a book so much? You draw your favorite scenes. :3

Of course I wanted to draw Katniss and Peeta first. So, this is the first "real" kiss that they share in the first book.

Maybe its because hes my favorite and I try really hard to do him justice... I dunno.
