The original didn't quite have Tifa's sexy body, so I tweaked it a bit ... hehehe

My Dissidia Tifa cosplay! ...don't you know, she's a super-secret unlockable character!*

So, I found myself with a week and a half to Wai-con and a surprisingly large amount of free time on my hands. I'd finished the Lina costume and had originally planned to just re-wear a Robin costume. ...but I heard a number of my awesome cosplay friends were doing a Dissidia group, and if you follow my gallery, you'll know I'm a HUGE Dissidia fan!

I really didn't have time to make a costume from scratch, so I decided to do something kinda random and silly, and make a Dissidia style Tifa costume! At first, I was just going to add some beads and things, but in the end, I re-made the gloves and arm warmers and made the side skirt... and, well, it ended up being a fair bit of work!

It's great fun making original designs for a costume! I had a lot of freedom with this one. The Dissidia style has lots of random beads, decorations, ripped clothing and Amano art references hidden in it, so I adapted a few details from the Amano art then did what I wanted with the rest.

You can't really see from the picture, but there's a Cloud ring, a Chocobo feather and a wing attached to the belt across my hips too. Just a few little details for fun.

*Only unlockable if you brought Aeris back to life in FFVII, naturally.

Edit: Tifa's now playable in Dissidia Duodecim! XDD... who would have thought it I'd manage to cosplay a character before they were even announced?

Yeah guys that´s the result. I know Tifas costume looks a litttle bit different than mine but I really can´t do cosplay stuff myself. *sighs*
Oh and my hair must grow longer. Tifa´s hair is really long! xDDD

But I hope I made a good job to make Tifa a little bit alive. *smiles*

Oh and I take the shot in front of the mirror. xDD My mum wasn´t at home so I do the photos on my own haha.

I had the sudden impulse to post me a cosplay picture. Alas, I've no longer got the large photo for this one, because the computer with the original file crashed. D8 I only have this little one now!

yeah... neither my Fairytail Erza nor Lucy costume was ready Orz... by the time of the convention, so i cosplayed Tifa again =v=;

i swear i will have a new cosplay next year @^@;

i have yet to find a good Tifa wig, so i didn't wear any =v=; my hair is too short...

I made this outfit for Wai-con 2006, where my group won first prize for the best skit! ^_^

A lot of work went into this, though probably the hardest bit was the pleated half skirt. I used black vinyl for most of the costume, and unfortunately it was impossible to iron, as the plastic would melt! ...so the pleats were all made by making a line of hot glue between the two sheets of vinyl then folding it into shape as the glue set.

There are still a few things I'd like to fix up, though. I found some better buttons shortly after and con, and I'd still like to do some more styling on the wig.

Why no ribbon? Because this is the Kingdom Hearts 2 version of the costume; Aeris is alive, therefore, no ribbons.

Time: Two months, on and off, though much of the time was spent looking for material.
Materials: Black vinyl/pleather, white nylon (?)

So yeah, PikminLink was Cloud and myself as Tifa at AX. She's seriously the awesomeness at cosplay and it was totally fun going around as Cloud and Tifa. This particular picture was just too funny to take. We were taking pics with a few other FF7 cosplayers (Reno and Elena) and someone suggested a romance picture between our characters; they asked us to kiss each other. PL and I were kinda shocked at first, but we gave the romance thing a try and I could not stop laughing XD She had it easy cuz she was wearing glasses, but I didn't! waaaah! Well anyway, we got a few decent pics, this one was awesome, so I cg'd it with Midgar in the background. So here's my gift to the CxT fans out there! heck yeah!

Another costume I made for my Melbourne trip. This is me as Tifa, in the dress she wears during the Wallmarket/Don Corneo part of FFVII.

I was originally going to the ball with an Aeris, and possibly a Cloud and Zack, but the plans fell through. Ah well, there's always the Wai-con ball.

^^ Yay! It's me in my Tifa costume! After Swancon and Wai-con I ended up with a few good photos. I'll put up some of my best friend and sister's costumes soon too!

This is certainly the most difficult costume I've made so far. The gloves were the hardest bit... closely followed by the elbow guard (I love how it came out though). And no, that's not my real hair! The braces are the one thing I didn't make myself, as I didn't have any leather working tools.

Materials:
Top & Arm warmers- lycra
Skirt - imitation leather
Gloves - Pleather ( The type normally used for table covers) & paint
Elbow Guard - Knee guard base, foam, craft foam, spray paint & model paint

Time: It was made over about two months. I'm not sure what the actual hours were, but needless to say a great many hours were put into this.

Yes its another one of those, it is not a drawing submission. I realized that quite a few people have been putting up collages of their cosplays on dA and I thought, hey why not?

This costume was not made by me. Mostly that is. I did the dissection, the explanation, the modifications but the sewing was done by my tailor Mrs Loh. I have no form of skill when it comes to sewing leather. But I did all the research and the material shopping and hopefully I got it as accurate as possible.

The pictures were taken by Fallen Seraphine.

I really love Tifa (I think a lot of you already guessed that) because of her attitude and all. I won't go into fangirly descriptions but I loved cosplaying as her and I love the location we took pictures of this costume at^^

BTW that is not a wig. That is my real hair. My current hair is actually longer seeing that I took pictures of this last year. XD (yeah I'm one of those girls who trim their own hair but don't actually cut it constantly).

Oh well. These collages will be like archives for me. I've got a lot of costumes but not many photoshoots of most of my costumes so I'll only be posting the ones I have photoshoots of^^ Expect to see more soon! And art too. Exploration week is next week. Time to get my butt to scanning half the stuff I've done >_>;

I'm not sure if this is in the right category, cause its cosplay. Anyways I went to an anime convention today, real fun, I cosplayed as L. I saw this couple in the middle posing for people. I got there a little bit late because the sun was actually beaming on them for about 3 seconds so I just did some crap lens flares with photoshop. This isn't the Cloud and Tifa you are used to seeing, they changed it up a bit so they were wearing all white and angel wings, pretty awesome.

GAHHH!!! i need to cosplay as often as possible before i get too old and creepy!!! @A@;;;

i put together this costume, with the help of my brother for AX2010~ (my mom was traveling abroad... so i had to do it myself this time and i realized... i really can't sew LOL <_<_<_<_
the elbow guard is very often neglected for Tifa cosplays for whatever reason. i think the elbow guard is a very important component of the cosplay, and without it, the cosplay is incomplete... with that said, my little bro is too good at making props!!! swords, claymores, etc, etc. thank you so much for making me the awesome awesome elbow guard!!!
