Oftentimes I fall into a state of constant stress and I get lost in it, like a whole other world where everything is absolute chaos and I cant seem to break free from it; where, every time I try to, there is always something new to worry about. What Ive become aware of, though, is that Im able to stop that cycle. I now often turn to meditation its the safe place away from all of that, like a shield. I can get away for some time, to a more peaceful place where I turn off my thoughts for a while, and I can come back to the stress with a clearer conscience, greater positive energy and the ability to deal with it more effectively. When it feels as though everything is falling to pieces all around over my head, meditation becomes my umbrella.

Meet Sally and Timothy. Sally is depressed and gothic and Timothy is public schooled and 'bubbly'. Will a relationship ever work?

Pretty happy with the image. I don't think I got Sally looking gothic enough though... another thing is it looks very weird flipped, so this will probubly look strange to some people unfortunatley XD

I want one of those umbrellas! I wanted each umbrella to reflect their mood, however I think perhaps Sallys looks a bit too 'cool' as at the moment as O'd probably choose her's over Timothys!

As always feedbacks very welcome as this is the first 'comic'-y think I'v done

This is a picture I took in Yosemite last week. I did tweak it in photoshop a little bit by taking all the color out of the picture to enhance the red umbrella. It really looks very similar originally but the tree looks a little darker this way.

Final version. Sure took me long enough. I don't think I've ever worked on something this big. So okay, the fact that Mei (the little girl) fades into the background is bad illustration. And so is the handle of the umbrella who may or may not throw the whole composition.

But the comissioner is happy with it. SO I'M DONE! Learning lessons and moving on.

I have always wanted to take a photo like this! I visited Avila beach last week and then remembered I had my umbrella in the car from the previous rainy day. However, the pics did not turn out how I wanted, because of the wind and a pier in the background, so I couldn't get many angles of it.

A small town in the countryside, little kids walk home from school, it starts to rain, people start running or ducking into houses, one of the kids pulls out a big happy red umbrella, with ears.

Most of the small towns out here have a school, most all of the grades are stuffed together and teachers are usually college student volunteers. Many of the kids take the school bus, which is usually a minivan (or bread car as they are called here) crammed with a couple dozen kids. Some of them, whose parents houses are farther out sometimes walk for several hours there and back on school days.
