Wow, I finally finished it haha! I originally started this in March but stopped on it when I got to the colouring stage because of art block, it's been 5 months but I got back into it and enjoyed every bit!

Uncharted 3 is an amazing game, definitely one of my top favorite games to play. I love the whole series, this picture only shows some of the best moments in the game, but there are so many more. These were the ones that stood out for me

This is for all you Uncharted fans, I hope you like it
Also I'm definitely going to do a pic for The Last of Us, it just looks so amazing and I need to unleash some of the ideas I have for it on paper

...what...I HAD to. Its like.. the best game in the history of all games. |D

So in this picture we have, the main character Nathan Drake and then Victor Sullivan! Or just Sully for short /derpderp

I was going to add some of the other characters from the series.. Buuut I wanted to do a desert scene cause like MOST of Uncharted 3 takes place in the desert.

Anyway, I really do like how this turned out :'D And yes. I will be making another Uncharted picture... but instead it will be in the snow. Cause that's where most of Uncharted 2 takes place~ yay

I have FINALLY finished haha It has taken me a very long time but it was so much fun to do! and it was worth it!
I love the Uncharted series so much they are my most favourite games of all time and I HAD to create and draw my biggest and best piece so far for it I wasn't too sure if I should have drawn the bad guys too but decided to stick with just doing the good guys with parts of drakes adventures around them I loved every minute of doing this and I haven't been as happy with a finished piece as I am with this one Im pretty happy with how its turned out

I kind of went with the same idea as Patrick Brown with his 'Grand Theft Auto IV TRIBUTE' Piece [link] as I thought it was a really good idea in how to separate scenes and stuff and i love the comic look

In case you hadn't noticed... I like working with light! & I love my lanterns too.. in case you hadn't noticed that either! XD The original photo of the woman & horse had a bridle (no saddle) and his mouth open; his head looks a little too big I might change that later on if necessary. Drawing the human hair was the hardest... how is it that I can draw horse hair, but human's baffles me!?? lmao; well in any case I did it, redid it and redid it again before I was satisfied with the outcome. ~enjoy! Any questions; just ask! <3

So I'm only a few years late to play Uncharted... I'd heard about it some, but never really got around to checking it out. Reading up on Uncharted 2 got me pretty interested, so I talked my way into getting a copy of Uncharted 1 for my bday XD Now I'm eagerly waiting for a copy of U2 because it was soooo damn fun. <3

Anyway, the pencils in Painter XI are really nice, I hadn't played around with them too much yet. This took me back to the days where I first started drawing "seriously", using different sorts of pencils and shaders. Lots of fun, I'm glad I felt like experimenting today

The bit of color is from my original color map I was messing with, when I originally thought I'd give this my usual treatment. It looked interesting after a few adjustments. Also working on my dark/light technique. I'm feeling kind of artsy-fartsy here.

....Uncharted 2, I cant express how AWESOME this game is! Ive been constantly glued to this game for so long, Drake is one of the best playable main characters ever created. Naughty Dog have made some of the best playstation games Ive played since the dawn of the PS1!, Crash Bandicoot! then Jak and Daxter (Ps2) and now with the Uncharted franchise! these guys never make anything unsuccessful!

So this is my tribute to naughty dogs latest and greatest. Uncharted 2, and I am ridiculously excited about Uncharted 3!

So who is in here (notice the composition of the piece is created to resemble the Phurba dagger from uncharted - the key to shambala!)

Uncharted: Cartagena

Earlier in the year I was doing some unrelated visual research on Cartagena, and it's rocking some awesome architectural elements and colour palattes. When the location popped up in Uncharted 3 as a Romancing the Stone nod I was all kinds of delighted.

Poor Nathan had no idea what he was getting himself into when he reluctantly accepted to embark on a treasure quest with Ms. Croft.

If two video game characters should find themselves in the same game one day, it's certainly those two: Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) and Nathan Drake (Uncharted) . It would be smokin' hot, tons of fun and the potential for banter would be endless! And did I mention sexual tension? Also, Nate all dressed in black = sex on two legs. Just sayin'.

Someone please talk to the folks at Naughty Dog and Crystal Dynamics (or Square Enix) to convince them to do this... Can you imagine the co-op campaign for that game??!! Holy crap, it would simply be epic...

Hey oh! It's none other than Nathan Drake! That guy from Uncharted!

Well, I was SUPPOSEDLY supposed to finish this portrait of Nate by/on 1st November 2011, just when the game is out. Unfortunately, as you can see from the evidence above, just WHY I didn't manage that and I took way way longer than I thought. Nate has always been in my mind to draw, and with Uncharted 3 out, definitely had to pay a little homage to one of my favorite games! Reference picture is obviously the cover of the game, love it!

Face/Details:
As usual, one of the more easier parts of the portrait to do. Took my time here, made sure to get dark areas dark, cos I always tend to make my portraits lighter than the reference, which can get annoying (personally). Kinda interesting to note that when I zoomed in on his face, the picture had a sort of digital painting texture to it at certain areas.

Hair:
Took really long with this, especially since I wasn't free to complete it during my weekdays due to school. Lots of crazy details went into his hair. I really wanted to get all of it correct and almost exact.

Stubble:
Fairly easy to complete. Pointillism YET again.

Scarf:
Okay... seriously, what in the bloody world was this monstrosity? Hah, kidding, but really... this was one of the most difficult things ever that I had to draw in about my entire life. Man oh man, the pattern on it was NUTS, and for some reason, (me being so damn anal), just had to go and follow every single line, pattern, texture on it. Trust me, my eyes kept crossing because I can't see where the pattern starts/end where I was working on. Kudos to the game designers for creating this evil scarf!! (Yes yes, kidding still, Naughty Dog, I love ya)

Background:
Simple background. It was actually the black smoke coming out from the crashed plane, but I decided to go with the desert sky instead. It'll be too dark with the black smoke and if you don't see the full picture (with the plane), it'll look kinda weird anyway.

At first I was going to do a minimal trilogy series but as I began designing I felt that adding some effects to the posters turned out for the better. I still tried to remain minimal while representing a story. Uncharted is one of my fav. series.

Started a new set of buttons to celebrate the release. Good to know that alot of people were very interested AS i was working on these in the store. So at least i know a few people will be nabbing these n_n

It's such a tough thing to find ps3 owners in the location. Most of the kids who come into the store are 360 owners

I just found it hilarious that you could beat up bad guys with giant fishes .

My brother kept trying to make nate do it the first time we played through the game, and i didn't think you actually could, until i saw the trophy for knocking out 3 guys with fish -> he's gonna need a sturgeon, ha .
