I'm studying this religion right now. It's very very interesting. There's so much that you can learn, all the things that I thought were so evil about Wicca, but they aren't evil at all. Its a great religion if you get to reading about it.

Wicca isn't what a lot of people see it as. Wicca is a peace loving, earth worshiping religion. We have a God and a Goddess, both of whom do NOT interfere with life, but are there in everything. They are present in each flower, each tree, each rock. To us, every object has a power that may be used. Yes, Wicca is a religion of Magic. It DOES NOT make us crazy for believing in it. We believe science is wrong, in some facts, and that we are right. But so does every religion, as science says no god can exist, that the earth was created by a massive scale explosion or what-not. We are NOT devil worshipers, the Pentical, the symbol used in the photo, is NOT what satanists use, anyways. Their symbol is the alike ours, but turned upside down and has an elongated point.

Like I said, we are peace-loving. We follow the reede which, in part, says "These words the Wiccan Rede fullfill: An ye harm none, do what ye will." Meaning, harm no one (yourself included) and do as you wish.

I hope this educated a few of you. If you have questions about Wicca, feel free to post them here. If you have a personal question, ask for my AIM, YIM, Gtalk, or MSN. I'd be happy to give it to you. I am newer to the religion, but I'd be more than happy to answer anything I can, and that which I can not, I will gladly find out for you.

Yes I wish I could remove the skull. I now know it does not belong here.

Done during my Wicca period in high school. I still think this piece turned out well. Yes I now realize this is not all what Wicca is about and most of it is very dark and what is seen as evil. I was 15 when I drew this and at a very dark period in my life. I think the main thing that make people say this is dark and a wrong misconception of Wicca is the skull and maybe the star but definitely the skull. I believe and always have that Wicca is pure and good. There are "white witches" and "dark witches." To me Wicca is about people living with nature and about only doing good for one another. It has been awhile since I have thought about any of this so I still maybe not be getting my point across. I want to make it clear that I have never believed that Wicca was evil but I believe some how I took it to a dark place that is why things happened the way they did.

Every religion thinks there way is the only way, every religion will fight to prove this, and so all hell breaks loose and millions are killed.

here is an introduction to the neo-pagan religion, Wicca.

I plan on updating this often, or at least writing more articles.
I also want to create a glossary for all the words that I bolded.
I may just make a website after this. Who knows.

someone questioned [and harrassed] me about the spelling of "magick" saying it was an entirely different meaning than "magic". yes, it is - if you look it up in the dictionary. this is really purely based on opinions and personal preference on how you'd like to spell "magick". there is no standard way. I asked my one friend about this and he has done much more research than I have (and remembers things much better o.o) and he told me it does not matter how you spell it, it's all personal preference.

and i apologize on how awful this looks on dA. >.<

I'm getting into the whole Wicca thing - I have a friend who's Wiccan, and I thought I'd see what the whole Wiccan athame-waving, circle-casting lifestyle is all about. So I bought a hideously expensive athame (posh name for the sharp knife in the picture) and my friend gave me the nice box with pentagram design on the lid. The background of this photo is one of my black skirts (I wasn't wearing it at the time - duh!)

And I'm a Christian, so don't go saying Christians aren't real either, wise-guys.

I have a lot of Wiccan friends, and I dated a Wiccan guy in high school, and it always drove me nuts when people made fun of him by saying "witches aren't real." We don't make fun of people saying Buddhism and Islam aren't real, do we? Certainly not. It doesn't matter if you don't believe that the religion itself is correct, saying stuff like that about the followers of said religion is just plain silly.

(And I know perfectly well some of the confusion comes from the fact that a lot of people think witches are actually mythological creatures. That's why I made this sig in the first place-- to educate them otherwise.)

I'm doing a Pen&Ink series for my New Age/spiritual/wicca portfolio, based on the elements in wiccan ceremonies. Here is the first piece with the Pentacle as the central theme, representing earth. Soon to come, the Akame.

For those of you who are wondering, yes, that is a pharoan hound...I have no idea why a pharoah hound, but I just thought he fit in there, since it's an elegant dog that is also exotic, I have no idea why...don't ask.

I love pen & ink, it's so relaxing and nerve wreching at the same time.

Wicca is coming! >D With her witchcraft! Haha! But yeah, heres just a picture that I thought of and well, yeah. I didn't know what to do for a background but when in doubt, just put in a random color oval circle thingy! Anyways, I got a little lazy with coloring this, as you can see. But on the other picture I have of her you can't really see that everything on her that's yellow glows. Haha, I can be such a dork! And some of you might be thinking "e3e;;; you got lazy and didn't draw her eyes..." No I didn't! I just tried to make it look like her head was down >> I think it worked. Anyways, I hope you guys like this! ^^
